Trivia / The Order

  • California Doubling: Belgrave University is actually the University of British Columbia. It is implied, by the drinking age of 21, that Belgrave U. is in the United States. Season Two identifies the city Belgrave is in as "Norwich," which could place it in Connecticut, New York State, or Vermont (assuming it's a "real" Norwich, and not a fictional Norwich).
  • The Danza: English Professor Benson played by Actress Julia Benson.
  • Dueling Shows: With the later seasons of The Magicians. Both are shows about schools full of magicians filmed at some of the same locations in Vancouver, with remarkably similar exterior shots.
  • Queer Character, Queer Actor: Kawennáhere Devery Jacobs, who's queer, plays Lilith Bathory, a bisexual woman who is attracted to a guy before dating a woman.
  • Underage Casting: A downplayed example. Thomas Elms, who plays upperclassman Hamish, is six years younger than both Jake Manley (Jack) and Adam DiMarco (Randall).
