  • One of the ships that Sarah ends up making "canon" is a future version of Gumball and Carrie. For the longest time Gumball and Carrie was one of the most popular ships with the fanbase up until Darwin and Carrie became a couple. One can imagine that this was thrown in as a wink and a nod to the viewers who did ship the pairing.
  • Sarah's humanoid fanfic version of Darwin happens to look black and Gumball's white, much like the standard Fanon portrayals.
  • Sarah also spits out a bunch of accurate fandom terms when Darwin and Gumball ask her what she's doing. Along with some which aren't real, but sound like they could be.
