Trivia / Stitch! The Movie

Go To

  • Blooper: Stitch phases through Nani's pants in one frame.
  • Feelies: The original DVD release came with a small "Experiment Tracker" poster for fans to use to look out for experiments in this movie and throughout (at least the first season of) The Series.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: Unlike the other three animated films, Stitch! The Movie's home video releases have gone out of print, leaving only pre-owned copies available for sale. This even led to some fans falsely assuming that Leroy & Stitch is the third film in the franchise, unaware of this film's existence. This is averted for its digital releases, though.
  • Market-Based Title: In German, the film is titled Stitch & Co. – Der Film (Stitch and Company – The Film).
  • Real Song Theme Tune: After the prologue, "Slicin' Sand" by Elvis Presley plays during the opening.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • As a result of production issues. The movie was originally going to be titled Lilo & Stitch: A New Ohana, but then the decision was made to only have Stitch's name in the title of this and the subsequent series, which was going to be called Stitch! The TV Series. It was then decided to rename the series back to Lilo & Stitch: The Series, but the memo wasn't given to the marketing team for The Movie in time for the name to be changed.
    • Supposedly, according to this film's IMDb trivia page, Jared Fogle (a.k.a. the then-spokesperson for Subway) was considered to voice Experiment 625. If that's true, then in hindsight, Disney dodged a bullet right there.
    • This technically also applies to The Series, but early promotional material for Stitch! The Movie showed experiment designs that were never used in the film or the show overall. An old downloadable activity sheet printout had an activity featuring an unknown and unused experiment hiding among other experiments, and this promotional image features an early design of Yang (X-502).
