• Fake Brit: New Zealander Marton Csokas plays the British General Thomas Gage.
• Fake Scot: The Scottish officer John Pitcairn is played by the Irish actor Kevin J. Ryan.
• Underage Casting: The actors are all in their thirties or thereabouts, playing the Founding Fathers, who were all closer to their fifties.
