• Technology Marches On: The fire in the climax was caused by flash powder igniting the decorations in an attempt to take a photograph of the trick dogs. Nowadays, many modern cameras are equipped with flash lights thus wouldn't have been able to cause a fire today. Not to mention the building in which the dog show took place in was built with wood. By today's standards that building wouldn't have passed the fire safety test.
