Trivia / Einstein on the Beach

• Keep Circulating the Tapes: This opera wasn't even filmed until 2014. It premiered in the 1970s. It took until 2017 for the work to get a proper Blu-Ray release.
• Reality Subtext: Much of the work is based on things Einstein actually did. Robert Wilson even relates that the posing of the actors was inspired by a photograph of the physicist.
• Working Title: While it was being composed, the piece was originally entitled "Einstein on the Beach on Wall Street". No one involved remembers why or when Wall Street got dropped.
