- Creator's Oddball: Chip Zdarsky is well known for writing comedy books like Howard the Duck or Jughead. Even when he does normal superhero books, they tend to be very optimistic, like Spider-Man: Life Story. So far, Daredevil is the only book written by him that is very dark and very morally complex. And yet, it all completely works.
- Schedule Slip: Much like the rest of comics, issues of the book in 2020 was pushed back because of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
- Torch the Franchise and Run: Not an example with the current run, but with the previous one. Zdarsky has noted that when he was going to come on-board the book, he talked to previous writer Charles Soule about how writers tended to do this when leaving the book:I had lunch with Charles early on in the planning, and I made a joke about how the previous Daredevil writers always try to fuck over the incoming writers with cliffhangers. That's when he told me he was "killing" Daredevil, and I immediately regretted making my joke.
