- Cross-Regional Voice Acting: All of the aliens with the exception of the Intergalactic Cop are based in the United States. The Intergalactic Cop is voiced by Peter Kelamis who does voice acting in Vancouver, which is where the film is located.
- The Danza: Mike Pillsbury is played by Michael Shulman.
- Keep Circulating the Tapes: The film was only released on tape and never got a DVD. Although it was released onto Disney+ after the platform was created. Unfortunately, the film got removed from Disney+ as of February 2024.
- Out of Holiday Episode: Both the book and film take place around Halloween, but they were released in January and April.
