- Refitted for Sequel: Sort of. The idea of a version of Bruce Wayne who was accused of killing his parents in the alley and then grew up as a patient at Arkham Asylum was originally conceived by Scott Snyder for one of the evil Dark Multiverse versions of Batman in Dark Nights: Metal. Unlike some other similar ideas that would be used in the sequel, Dark Nights: Death Metal, the Arkham patient Bruce Wayne ended up being used as the setup for Last Knight on Earth.
