She spoke to a Holocaust survivor, paid for a special unit for seriously ill babies, went to Africa where she saw two brothers who only had each other that she helped them find hope and tears of joy when she returned after sponsoring them.
- Sadly Denise died of Cancer in 2016, it was announced on the show, with everyone with tears in their eyes, there was several tributes done, there was that focused on her achievements and she spoke to callers off air the tribute ends with a woman phoning in, thanking her for saving her life by speaking to her. note
- After the death of George Floyd, This Morning held a silence and Alison Hammond the normally joyful presenter phoned in and was still in tears.
- Freddie the Seal whom appeared on the show sadly was put down after being mauled by a dog off the lead.
- In a recent Friday show, they had a phone in and Deirdre had a Mother talking about her daughter's problem with obesity in tears, but it was Alison Hammond's break down that really makes you upset, she has suffered with obesity and feels that there isn't enough done to help people which has both Demont and Deirdre hugging her in comfort.
