  1. Characters.Dragon Age Inquisition Companions And Advisors: Played for Drama in that if the two get together, this his how Dorian sees his relationship with the Iron Bull. Bull doesn't put up with it, which causes some problems early in the relationship. Dorian eventually gets over it. In a lighter vein, Fereldan beer.
  2. WMG.Toy Story: The above troper has been * ZOT* ted. The above troper owes the wiki one thesis on the nature of reality in the Pixar film of their choice ("Instrumentality", "Haruhi", and "Dying Dream" don't count). ...Though he does have a pocket that's got to be bigger on the inside....His ass is a Tardis! Done and Done https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/WMG/TimeLord
  3. Recap. The Simpsons S 5 E 18 Burns Heir: Homer's "secret shame" is revealed to be eating flowers. Bart: So that explains his trip to Holland.
  4. Literature.Anita Blake: The title of book 1, the name of a vampire-fetish bar therein, and probably a little wink from the author about the nature of the series. (And boy, do a lot of readers agree, especially since the big change.)

  7. Recap.Steven Universe S 2 E 20 Sadies Song: Sadie is as reluctant to admit she likes "Haven't You Noticed (I'm A Star)" as singing at all. Aw, anybody can sound fine singing along with that song. It's so cheesy, and dumb, and-and catchy, and... (defeated)I know every single word.
  8. WebVideo.Rebel Taxi: Nostalgia Filter: He devotes a whole video rant to debunking the arguments of "90s Kids". In particular he pointed out how hypocritical some people can be regarding the longevity of certain cartoons (like how these people keep wishing The Powerpuff Girls and other "90s cartoons" were still around, while these same people also complain that SpongeBob, a cartoon that also started in the 90s, needed to end years ago), saying that if most of the older cartoons were still on TV then fans would just be complaining about Seasonal Rot. Also discussed in his Guilty Pleasures video, where he says that things you loved as a kid aren't as good as you thought. For example, he talks about loving the soundtrack from Pokémon: The First Movie as a kid, which his older cousin hated. Nowadays, his opinion is quite different. Pan: That soundtrack was terrible, oh my god!
  9. Funny. The Angry Video Game Nerd Season One: Also, in Bible Buffet: AVGN: It's so rare to hear such a clear voice in a Nintendo game. But, I also suppose it's rare for Nintendo to have a Bible game with no references to the Bible, resembling Atari that's all about food trying to kill you. Yet it's also a board game rip-off with quizzes that you can't answer. And, if it's a Bible game, why do you blow a snowman's head off? Whatever happened to "Thou Shalt Not Kill"? Please, somebody tell me. What the hell am I playing? I kinda like it, but I gotta turn it off before I go insane.

Brad!

  14. Fanfic. The Bolt Chronicles: Lampshaded in "The Imaginary Letters" when Bolt refers to Mittens's saying that the first album by The Romantics is "the best guilty pleasure Power Pop album of all time." He's not sure there's any reason to feel guilty about liking it, though.
  15. Castle.Tropes E To L: In the episode "Always Buy Retail", Castle compares having sex with his ex-wife to a deep-fried Twinkie. Ryan: A deep-fried Twinkie? Castle: Yeah, the guilty pleasure that you know is bad for you, so you only do it once, maybe twice a year for the novelty. For Beckett, these include the soap opera Temptation Lane and the sci-fi series Nebula 9.

WebVideo.TV Trash: In his opinion, It's Flashbeagle, Charlie Brown, just because of how catchy the tunes are, and how much fun everyone seems to have.He also cites that, for how much Ally McBeal has aged, the show is still very enjoyable. Surprisingly, even Hannah Montana. He admits that it can be stupid at times, and he spends nearly half the episode pointing out Fridge Logicinvoked with Hannah's Secret Identity, but he still thinks that it's harmless fun. 18. Fanfic.Manehattans Lone Guardian: Neither Magnum nor Maverick are keen on admitting to anypony—least of all Leviathan—that they enjoyed having her scratch them behind the ears.
  19. YMMV.Linkin Park: Gateway Series: Let's just say more than a few metalheads were introduced to hard rock/metal through this band. Whether or not they admit it is another story. And if you're young enough and have not heard any of the Beastie Boys, Linkin Park could have also been a gateway to the "eccentric" Alternative Rock scene with bands like U2 and The Cure, due to their experimenting with electronic and Hip-Hop elements. An AfroPunk article released shortly after Chester Bennington's death mentioned how the band was especially integral in getting black kids into hard rock. Not only was their music heavily influenced by hip-hop (their mashup album with Jay-Z was a huge help), but it offered kids of color the opportunity to express the kind of cathartic anger they otherwise never got to.

He often gets into arguments with walking (er, skating) Jet Set Radio reference Lúcio, as both dislike the other's taste in music.Although as revealed in Heroes of the Storm, Lúcio actually does like Hasselhoff's music, he just doesn't want to admit it in front of Reinhardt. The character of D.va (Hana Song) is a reference to Starcraft's popularity in South Korea.
  24. YMMV.H Bomberguy: His RWBY video includes a part where he gushes about how much of a guilty pleasure "Caffeine" is, saying "It's like if the Sonic Adventure soundtracks vomited into my mouth!" 29. Gush.Live Action TV: The Disney Channel KidComs can be Guilty Pleasures, but the Disney XD shows always end up being somewhat actually decent. Pair of Kings has very good character development and a cool setting, Kickin' It is just plain fun and is quite sweet, Lab Rats has a good premise, and well written story development, and Crash & Bernstein is just plain funny. Mighty Med is turning out pretty good too.1

  34. TheLegendOfKorra.Tropes G To L: Tenzin does not approve of pro-bending, yet in "And The Winner Is" he seems to know the rules quite well. He even cheers on Korra when she plays; though it's just as likely that he learned the rules after he decided to allow Korra to keep playing, all in support of his pupil and not for any love of the game. Or to the extent that he genuinely enjoys the sport, it may be because he enjoys seeing Korra succeed.
  35. Webcomic.Patrik The Vampire: Funny enough, Twilight is the biggest one for Patrik. Patrik: These are the worst things I have ever read! Why do people like them so much?! 36. CurseCutShort.Another Character Interrupts: From The Nostalgia Critic/The Nostalgia Chick/brentalfloss musical combo review of Moulin Rouge!, this happens during the "El Tango De Pretense" musical number. They're not exactly concerned with limiting swearing over at TGWTG, especially given how many of their members typically default to Cluster F-Bomb, so it's probably due to the Rule of Funny. Perhaps Stephen Thomas Erlewine from Allmusic.com summed it up best in his "Girl You Know It's True" review: "This isn't just music that's all surface, this is music that gives the impression of having a surface, then not delivering on that. It's thin as a ribbon, the beats are fairly clunky, the hooks are huge and stupid (apart from Diane Warren's "Blame It on the Rain," which is the only classically constructed song on the album), and, ultimately, really dorky. But what makes it fascinating is that it's unrestrained, unhinged dorkiness, music that is completely awkward and sort of fun and memorable because of it."

  98. Characters. My Hero Academia Class 1 A 11 To 20: Her interest in music. She's the only girl embarrassed about the others seeing her room during the dorm tour. Chapter 169 reveals that she doesn't think her musical interest is heroic, and that she isn't proud enough about it to perform live during the U.A. Cultural Festival. Even though Uraraka and Hagakure have watched her perform in her room on the guitar, her body language shows she is really shy in front of an audience: nervously blushing, hands tucked under her legs, and feet dangling above the floor with her toes pointed out and avoiding the ground. It turns out that this is largely due to the fact that in the past, she felt conflicted about her dream of becoming a pro hero since she thought her parents would want her to become a musician like them, even though they assured her they would support her no matter which path she took.
