The guys had just completed a mission involving the Russian Czar Ivan the Terrible. Otto and Larry are site-seeing while leaving Tuddrussel to stay behind to say goodbye to Ivan. The Czar speaks in garbled Russian that can only be understood by Tuddrussel. He is sad to see Tuddrussel go and wants to come with him, but Tuddrussel says he can't because it's against Time Squad regulations. Eventually, Tuddrussel gives in.When Tuddrussel does finally catch up to Larry and Otto outside, they notice right away that Tuddrussel seems "different", what with there being a large, conspicuous bulge coming from the inside of his uniform. Tuddrussel laughs it off by saying that it's merely the extra weight he gained from eating Russian cuisine.

Once on the satellite, strange, unexplainable things start to happen. First when Larry discovers two sets of muddy footprints near where Otto is playing with his action figures, and scolds Otto for him and Tuddrussel tracking mud on the floor. Otto claims he is innocent, pointing out that both sets of tracks are too big compared to his own feet. Then Otto brings up to Larry that someone chewed on the head of his Benjamin Franklin action figure as well. Otto later brings up these things to Tuddrussel, insisting that something strange is going on, but Tuddrussel suggests that he and Larry are just imagining things. Otto points out he can't be imagining the latest thing of his to get destroyed, his glasses, which are revealed to be completely useless now. Larry then calls everyone outside to the domisphere, where his garden has been destroyed, but Tuddrussel gets defensive and leaves.

Later, Otto and Larry are discussing the problem when they overhear Tuddrussel speaking to someone in the storage room, followed by crashing. Suspicious, they investigate and immediately discover that the door is locked, but Larry knows the codes to unlock it and they find Tuddrussel sitting alone on top of a box reading a newspaper. Tuddrussel feigns ignorance of anything strange going on, but the box he is sitting on suddenly moves and Ivan leaps out, acting like a dog. Larry is livid that Tuddrussel would let this happen, bringing up how much more trouble Ivan has caused them and how illegal it was to just steal somebody from the past and treat them like a pet. But Tuddrussel argues that they basically did the same thing with Otto, and begs Larry to let him keep him, promising to feed him and teach him to go on the paper. Eventually, Larry concedes, to the delight of the others.

Things don't go too well for Larry since Ivan is acting exactly like an unruly dog. Otto and Tuddrussel goof off and play with him, while Larry is left to do all of the chores. After a battle of tug-of-war over his own leg, he snaps, deciding firmly that Ivan will be going back to Russia. In Russia, Tuddrussel and Otto sadly say goodbye to Ivan, who returns to his servant like a dog returning to his master.

Tropes present in this episode include:

  • Batman in My Basement: Tuddrussel becomes the object of suspicion as he tries to hide Ivan from Otto and Larry.
  • Dislikes the New Guy: Larry can't stand Ivan because he's an absolute feral man, and he's the only one taking care of him while Otto and Tuddrussel ignore the problems that Ivan causes. But he can't get rid of him because the guys adore Ivan too much.
  • A Dog Ate My Homework: In the weirdest case, Otto's nuclear physics homework became a victim of Ivan's.
  • Dumbass Has a Point: When Larry insists that they can't just kidnap people from the past and treat them as some kind of pet, Tuddrussel points out that they had done the very same thing with Otto and Larry pauses in sudden horror that Tuddrussel had a fair point to the argument.
  • Human Pet: Ivan is so barbaric that the guys treat him as the family dog.
  • Homeschooled Kids: In this episode, we learn that Larry provides lessons and homework for Otto while not busy with their missions.
  • Pet the Dog: Larry relents in letting Tuddrussel keep Ivan, admitting that maybe he's too much of a softy for his own good.
  • Sarcastic Confession: Tuddrussel gives a sarcastic confession to Larry and Otto, "What? Are you accusing me of smuggling Ivan the Terrible aboard the satellite? Like I stuffed him in my shirt before we zapped back? And I've been feeding him table scraps this whole time? You guys are crazy!"
  • The Unintelligible: Ivan speaks in garbled Russian. And when he's on the satellite he growls and howls like a dog.
