Pop Pop the Question

Albert is about to propose to Myrtle, but the kids find out there may be something sinister going on with her.
  • Black Widow: Discussed; The Louds fear Myrtle might be one when they learn she was seemingly married to multiple men in the past, all of whom disappeared. Lucy even compares her with "the red tarantula", a character from her favorite show whose modus operandi is seducing men and then disposing of them.
  • Brick Joke: Early in the episode, Pop Pop admits he wants to propose to Myrtle through a wedding ring hidden in a meat ball. In the climax, Myrtle reveals she had the exact same idea.
  • Call-Back: The episode starts with the family playing The Settlers of Cat-Land, introduced in "Lynner Takes All".
  • Explain, Explain... Oh, Crap!: The more the Loud kids talk about Pop Pop's plan to propose to Myrtle, the more it dawns on them how little they actually know about Myrtle, including them being unaware of her last name.
  • Multiple Identity IDs: The Louds find multiple passports with Myrtle's photo but different names in a secret room in her closet.
  • Not What It Looks Like: Myrtle seemingly pushing Pop Pop off a cliff to kill him turns out to be just the two of them doing some night time rock climbing.
  • Retired Badass: It's revealed in this episode that Myrtle is a retired secret agent.
  • Secret Room: Myrtle has one in her closet, which can be opened through a hidden lever in her bedframe.
  • Serial Spouse: Myrtle is implied to be one when the Louds find a picture book full of wedding photo's of her with various men. It's further implied something terrible happened to all her men, as Lisa's search reveals they've all gone missing. Eventually subverted when Myrtle reveals none of those marriages where real; the "husbands" where her fellow agents and the marriages where only their cover stories for secret missions.
  • That Poor Cat: Near the start of the episode, Lincoln tries to show off a tuck-and-roll, culminating in Cliff yowling in the background. Later on, he tries to do it again at Sunset Canyon, this time disturbing another cat.
  • Toilet Humor: If Lola's remark is anything to go by, Lana is drinking water from the toilet.
  • Van in Black: A black van follows the Louds as they are trying to reach Pop Pop to warn him about Myrtle, and it pushes them off the road. It's ultimately revealed to be a red herring, as the van had nothing to do with Myrtle, but belongs to the DJ that performed at the retirement home eralier, and was being driven by Scoots.
  • We Need a Distraction: Leni, Luan, Luna, Lynn and Lana keep Pop Pop and Myrtle distracted by pretending to be interested in shuffle-boarding lessons, so Lincoln, Lucy, Lola, Lisa and Lily can search Myrtle's room.

Lynn and Order

Liam ends up joining Lynn as hall monitor, but his friendly and merciful methods of dealing with the school's supposed troublemakers irritate her to no end.
  • Gentle Touch vs. Firm Hand: Lynn and Liam's dynamic in this episode; Lynn would very much rather handle things in her own rough and tough way to keep things in order, but Liam would rather find smooth solutions to keep all the students happy. The episode ends with Lynn beginning to pick up a few of Liam's teachings when they confront a tardy and tired Lincoln.
  • Good Cop/Bad Cop: Lynn and Liam find a terrified young boy Stuffed into a Locker; Lynn acts as the bad cop threatening to keep him stuck in there if he doesn't spill out who trapped him while Liam, as the good cop, decides to make the lad comfortable with a warm glass of milk. The good cop wins out and the boy reveals that Chandler locked him in there in the first place, to Lynn's anger.
  • Kids Driving Cars: Lynn spends much of the episode driving the school's golf cart. Her aggressive driving even makes Liam briefly scared when they drive off to deal with a student supposedly without a hall pass.
