Go To

This episode contains examples of:

  • An Aesop: You don't need special powers to be a great leader.
  • Flashback: When trying to convince Kion that he's always been their leader, even before the Roar, the Lion Guard reminiscences about the time when they were babies and they stopped a baby Janja from stealing an egg that Ono hatched out of.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: At the start of the episode, the Kion and the Guard attempt to aid the Night Pride against the bad guys but end up just getting in the way. Downplayed, as the bad guys are still driven off.
  • You Are Better Than You Think You Are: Kion's friends have to convince him that he doesn't need the Roar to lead the Guard.
