"Mind the lasers, Paddington!"
Paddington, Jonathan, and Judy play imaginary games in the park and Judy and Mateo decide they might have more fun playing on the half-pipe instead.Tropes:
- An Aesop: You’re never too old to have fun - just ask Mr. Curry!
- Be Yourself: Judy stops playing with her brother and Paddington because Mateo makes her think that make-believe is for little kids. She then feels pressured to go down the half-pipe with him, something that neither of them have ever done before. In the end, she learns that it’s better to do what makes you happy, no matter what other people think.
- Good Luck Charm: Judy gives Paddington a make-believe “Helmet of Good Luck” that, through a series of coincidences, he begins to think is actually lucky.
- Hidden Depths: Mr. Curry is apparently quite passionate about dinosaurs.Mr. Curry: The Triassic period! Oh, my favorite time subdivision! Well before people came along to get on my nerves."
- Mr. Imagination: Judy and Jonathan have big imaginations and love making up stories when they play on their scooters together. Paddington however, seems to struggle with this.
- Not So Above It All: Mr. Curry is annoyed with Jonathan and Paddington at first for disrupting the park with their scooters. However, once he realizes they’re pretending to be dinosaurs, he joins right in. He even goes so far as to stick the ice cream cone he was eating on his nose and flap around like a pterosaur!
