"For a moment there, I thought we were in trouble."
— Rush, quoting Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
The Destiny crew is trapped in a recursive time loop, with only kino footage giving them hints about what's going on.
Tropes:
- Accidental Time Travel: The first time, at least.
- Anguished Declaration of Love: From Eli to (an unconscious) Chloe, albeit not in so many words. She passes away while he is confessing his feelings.
- Apocalyptic Log: The Kino recordings from two iterations of the timeline give the crew the solution to their problems.
- Discovering Your Own Dead Body: A variation. Rush discovers a skull on the jungle planet but does not realise until later that it belongs to a version of himself from an Alternate Timeline.
- Dissonant Serenity: Rush gets extremely cheerful right before he runs through the unstable Stargate in a Dying Moment of Awesome.
- Dying Declaration of Love: Eli lampshades how people always seem to wait until this is happening before confessing their feelings.
- "Groundhog Day" Loop: At least three loops before no one dies.
- Time Travel: The very first time travel episode of the third Stargate series.
- Tricked Out Time
