When Katrina becomes embroiled in a dangerous plan set into motion by Henry, Ichabod and Abbie race to save her.
Tropes present in the episode:
- CPR: Clean, Pretty, Reliable: It seems Ichabod took the time to study up on CPR (or at least the Hollywood version) since two episodes ago, as he seems more than capable of performing it on Katrina.
- Eating the Eye Candy: Ichabod has a hard time keeping his eyes off Katrina after she dons a new set of clothes consisting of jeans and a corset.
- Fetus Terrible: Katrina is revealed to have been impregnated with Moloch himself by Henry.
- "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight: Ichabod confronts Henry at Tarrytown and tries to persuade him that there's still good in him. Henry, sadly, doesn't fall for it and insists he made his choice to serve Moloch a long time ago.Ichabod: Do you really think I cannot see through this chicanery? You live in Fredericks Manor, the very place you were brought into this world.Henry: It is a nexus of dark magic.Ichabod: And, coincidentally, where your mother first held you, first taught you feelings of love. What did you tell yourself when you poisoned her? That you were not really responsible? The blood was on Moloch's hands?Henry: I intended to paint my hands with both your blood.Ichabod: Then flick your wrist. Make it so.Henry: Fate is fickle, Father. Best not to tempt it.Ichabod: If you let her die, it will plague you for an eternity.Henry: Like the eternity I spent in that box?Ichabod: She is not the reason bad things happen. Your mother's love banished her to Purgatory.Henry: Her love for you. Her decision to save you.Ichabod: Then read my sin, see for yourself. Tell me you're unmoved. No. You will not touch me. Because you fear you will witness the depth of my suffering. You are sick with Moloch's evil, but you can fight it. You can spare her, Jeremy. You have a choice.Henry: Yes, I do. And I choose Moloch. I choose his leadership, and I choose his might. I choose his fire that will burn the world. No matter what you do, no matter where you hide her, your wife will die, and Moloch will be born!
- Magical Abortion: Ichabod uses Franklin's crystal to remove Moloch from Katrina's womb. Unfortunately, it doesn't kill Moloch.
- Number of the Beast: The Hellfire Club's password.
- Of Corsets Sexy: Katrina's new attire includes a corset, like her original outfit.
- The Password Is Always "Swordfish": Lampshaded when the password of the Hellfire Club's passcode turns out to be "666."Ichabod: What a lack of imagination.
- Screaming Birth: Katrina, as Moloch starts to make his way out of her. Fortunately, it's averted once Ichabod uses Franklin's crystal to expel Moloch from Katrina's womb.
