Tribal Cats

  • Fantastic Racism: The Alley Cats have a prejudice against the titular cats for a couple reasons. Aside from their large ears, the Tribal Cats eat locusts, much to the Miao Siblings' disgust.

Sagwa's Swan Song

  • An Aesop: It doesn't matter how great or small your gift to your loved ones may be. They love it because it came from you, and that's what counts.
    • Tai-Tai also learns that, as the old saying goes: "If you love something, set it free".
  • Sure, Let's Go with That: A sweet variation. The Miao Siblings intended for Fufu to fly in and shower their grandparents with many flowers. But after he accidentally spilled most of them into the lake, Fufu can only present three flower petals. The Miao Siblings think it's a disaster, until they overhear their grandparents. As it turns out, they think each flower petal signifies a gift from each grandchild (a scruffy purple petal from Dongwa, a bright colorful petal from Sagwa, and the littlest pink petal from Sheegwa), and they greatly appreciate it. Moved by their grattitude, the Miao Siblings do not object.
