- Acquired Situational Narcissism: Shane lets being the Red Ranger go to his head, thinking the others should just do as he says and that he doesn't need any help. A monster fight forces him to see otherwise.
- An Aesop: Always trust your friends and do your best to work together.
- Hope Spot: The Rangers use their Zords to fight Mad Magnet, with Dustin's Lion Zord delivering the finishing blow. Unfortunately for the Rangers, Mad Magnet regenerates itself and they are forced to use the Storm Megazord for the first time.
