Recap / OKKO Lets Be Heroes S 3 E 2 KO Rad And Enid

Go To

When confronted with their lack of a team gimmick, K.O., Rad, and Enid wonder what their group identity should be.

Tropes:

  • Awesome, but Impractical: The costumes the team chose for themselves turn out to be more trouble than they're worth. K.O. keeps getting tangled in his cape, Rad can't control his metal armor's gadgets, and the hair from Enid's barbarian clothes make her itchy and get in her eyes.
  • Break-Up/Make-Up Scenario: The team briefly decides to break up after none of them can agree on a gimmick for their costumes; however, after they all individually realize the gimmicks they wanted to use were dumb and making it more difficult to fight, they make up and return to their normal costumes to defeat Raymond.
  • Call-Back: Once again, just like in "All in the Villainy" and "Rad's Alien Sickness", a Boxmore robot is given bio-enhancements by Professor Venomous (or "stepfather", as Raymond calls him) to use to attack the Plaza.
  • Cape Snag: K.O. can't take two steps without getting tangled in his own cape.
  • The Gimmick: When figuring out what to call their team, K.O. points out that most teams have a gimmick to set them apart, so he suggest getting new costumes with a gimmick. Unfortunately, they each come up with different gimmicks - capes for K.O., Power Armor for Rad, and Barbarian Hero for Enid - and are unable to agree on which one. When Raymond attacks the Plaza, they decide to let the one to defeat him choose what the gimmick will be, but after they fail, they blame each other and briefly dismantle the team. Eventually, they realize they don't need a gimmick after all, and beat up Raymond with their regular costumes.
  • Green Thumb: Raymond has plant-based bio-enhancements that give him attacks like a whip made of vines and thorn projectiles.
