- Both Sides Have a Point: While Rainbow Dash was right about Applejack being too overprotective of the Golden Horseshoe Gals, Applejack was right that they are old mares, and can only take so much excitement.
- By "No", I Mean "Yes": When Applejack asks if the Gals only invited Rainbow Dash to bingo because they knew she'd be rude enough to complain, Applesauce replies that they invited her because she's part of the club... and because they were pretty sure she'd be rude enough to complain.
- Call-Back: Rainbow Dash being a member of the Golden Horseshoe Gals at the end of "Grannies Gone Wild" is a major part of this story.
- The Cameo: Trixie, Mayor Mare, Steven Magnet, Filthy Rich and Zephyr Breeze are all seen during the Montage of the Golden Horseshoe gals searching for the bingo balls.
- Continuity Nod:
- Fluttershy's animal sanctuary is seen twice.
- The Castle of the Two Sisters is where Rainbow Dash hid the last bingo ball.
- Gilligan Cut: After Rainbow Dash states that the "game day" is going to be the best day ever, the next panel shows her totally bored.Rainbow Dash: This is the worst day ever!
- Tempting Fate: After setting "Extreme Bingo" in motion, Rainbow Dash tells herself that everyone is going to have a great time and nothing bad is going to happen. She then lampshades this by asking herself, "Right?"
