Lady Lovely Locks plans to hold a grand ball, which makes Prince Strongheart sad because he'll only be able to attend as a dog. Complicating matters further is the handsome Baron von Tress, who saves Shining Glory from the Comb Gnomes and wins Lady's heart.
However, he happens to be Hairball in disguise! Hairball and Duchess Ravenwaves kidnap Lady and attempt to take her hair, but under the light of a full moon, the prince is able to take his true form. Strongheart rescues Lady, but she's only able to see his silhouette before he turns back into a dog.
