Dokko returns from a trip and gives Barry a souvenir Indian shovel and some souvenir Indian potatoes. Barry sees that his friend is wearing an object around his neck and asks him what it is. Dokko explains that this is the calendar of the Tupaca Indians, the most mysterious tribe in the world. Over tea, Barry asks Dokko if he is going to live according to this calendar now. Dokko replies that he will not be able to live by it because no one except the Tupac Indians can understand it. While fishing, Barry continues to ask Dokko about the calendar. Dokko tells him that the Tupaca Indians believe that the world is a giant mole, and he cannot confirm this or speak to spirits like the Indians. At night, Barry wakes up Dokko and asks him if he's wearing a calendar to talk to the spirits. Dokko can't stand it, and in a rage, he tells him that he put it on the calendar because it's cool. Their conversation is watched by two Tupaca Indians, who are concerned that Barry is asking too many questions, but one of them says he can solve this problem.

At night, Barry wakes up from the noise on the street. When he leaves the house, he sees that bonfires are laid out in his garden and masks are placed. The Indian recites his spells, but Barry, angry that he trampled on his beds, grabs a broom and attacks him. In the morning, an Indian comes to the chief of the tribe and informs him that Barry's will does not yield to his spells. The chief decides to personally see Barry and comes to his yard. After seeing him, he realizes that the bear is worthy of being accepted into the Tupaca tribe.

In the morning, Barry cleans up the things left by the Indians and restores the things they destroyed. Dokko comes to him and explains that he put on the calendar because he wanted to look cultured for others and not be alone in this world. In response, Barry declares that the world is a giant mole.

Tropes:

  • Braids, Beads and Buckskins: All Indians wear hats with different numbers of feathers.
  • The Unreveal: We don't see how the Tupaca tribe members look like and what species they are, but if one brightens the picture, human features can be visible. They certainly don't look human, though.
