Hope from a Snowdrop
The search for Krelkulkil continues with all parties finding themselves at dead ends and eventually joining forces over their mutual interest. All dead ends except for one lead; since Krelkulkil is trying to free Keralbarra's soul from the blade, the elder suggests heading to Amatsu-Hakuraku, where the boundary between the living and the dead is at its thinnest.
Sure enough, the crew find him there, ready to release the spirits trapped from the blade, only find a grotesque mass filled with hatred and torture.

- And Then What?: With Krelkulkil found, his sister's murderer killed, and his family's demonic sword heirloom destroyed, Sevilbarra starts off pondering what he should do next in life besides destroying more demonic blades. After losing a match of Go against Krelkulkil, the latter gives him the responsibility of nurturing Galanthalus as a favor, which indirectly gives Sevilbarra some motivation to stay on the crew since he needed more helping hands.
- Floral Theme Naming: When the demon blade's X factor is given a normal life, he starts off by want a name that matches Krelkulkil's and Keralbarra's naming scheme. The couple chooses Galanthalus as his new name, referring to the snowdrop and its symbolism of hope and solace.
- My Name Is ???: The entity Krelkulkil released from the demon blade doesn't have a name as it's just multiple tortured souls at once. The raid and Nightmare versions of the battle refer to it as "Torture" instead.
- Self-Sacrifice Scheme: Krelkulkil stabs himself with the demon blade with the intention of having Keralbarra's soul take up his body's remains. After being told that Keralbarra's soul is too damaged for it, he chooses the demon blade's X factor itself to take his place instead.
- Your Days Are Numbered: Due to how long Krelkulkil kept the demon blade with him, the elder suggests that he only has ten days to live at best. Not that it matters since Krelkulkil cuts his own life earlier than that.
