- Bait-and-Switch: Julius asks Rochelle to leave the room to speak Chris one-on-one. He approaches him with a threatening demeanor as sinister music plays, but he really does just want to speak to Chris.
- Casanova Wannabe: This is Chris' undoing. He likes being seen as Tasha's boyfriend or a lady killer, but understandably, Tasha isn't too fond of rumors being spread about her.
- Celebrity Resemblance: Kill Moves asks James if he ever notices how Nick Ashford and Verdine White look exactly alike.
James: "Verdine White from the liquor store, or Verdine White from Earth, Wind & Fire?"
Kill Moves: "It's the same guy.."
James: "Whaaaaat?"
- Gossip Evolution: Chris gets rid of a mouse in Tasha's closet, to which she gives him a quick kiss on the cheek as thanks. That eventually turns into Chris and Tasha sharing a romantic kiss, to making out, to them being a couple, to Chris cheating on her, to Chris being a player..
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Drew spends much of the episode very gloomy and dejected, feeling neglected by Rochelle. She eventually catches onto it and tries to sort it out.
