Go To

Airdate: September 7, 2001

Emmy, Max and the dragons take part in the Dragonbasketball game against the dragons from the School Across the Lake. The opposing team begins to tease and bully Emmy, causing her to lose her confidence, and the others must help her.

"Teasing Is Not Pleasing" contains examples of:

  • Aesop Amnesia: After Emmy decides against teasing them despite them teasing her the entire episode, everybody thinks Mooky and Buster will have learned a valuable lesson about not teasing others. But off to the side, the two dragons take out their frustration by angrily mocking each other. Much to Quetzel's disappointment, He sadly remarks that these two have yet to learn teasing doesn't pay, if they ever cross that bridge.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: Emmy decides not to gloat and bully Mooky and Buster back, because she’s not that kind of person, much to their confusion.
  • Fantastic Racism: Emmy is mocked for being flightless, but Lorca isn’t. Either this is because of some standard the bullies have or because they want to break her spirit.
  • Hate Sink: Mooky and Buster, who spend the entire episode bullying Emmy, whether they're trying to throw her off her game or mock her shortcomings.
  • Ignored Epiphany: One would think Emmy refusing to tease them for losing the game would convince Mooky and Buster that bullying and putting others down isn't the way to go. Instead, much to everyone's disappointment, they double down on their ways by insulting each other out of frustration.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: Up until the later part of the story, Mooky and Buster have taunted Emmy about the things that weren't true, like her lack thereof skills. But when they mock that she can't fly, Emmy lampshades that this insult is the hardest to swallow because it's true.

Zak and Wheezie get sprayed by a Stinkydink Bug and blame each other for it, and their disagreeing causes them to leave their badges on Speedy the Turtle's shell and take off not knowing about it. The two must learn to work together if they want to get their badges back.

"Team Work" contains examples of:

  • Feud Episode: Zak and Wheezie are at each other's throats for the episode.
  • Ironic Name: Speedy the Turtle is rather slow for his name.
  • Power Glows: The badges glow as long as Zak and Wheezie work together and be cooperative.
