While in the library, Sayori meets an NPC who drew a cat and two flowers. Taking a liking to her, Sayori gradually coerces her to expand her boundaries eventually causing the nameless NPC to gain sentience. Now as Ako, the NPC begins to spin some time with Sayori which would come into conflict with Monika. This would eventually lead to Sayori introducing Ako to her friends and she is received with mixed reception. Unfortunately, Ako realizes that she is slowly growing in love with Sayori, and had tried to stay away from her for a few weeks. To make things even more worse, Monika remorselessly decides to read Ako's character file, not just realizing her true origins, but that she was also in love....

  • The Bus Came Back: The Perfect Yuri returns, now representing Yuri's inner thoughts.
  • Cassandra Truth: Monika asks Sayori if she is really unaware that Ako is harboring feelings for her, but Sayori pushes it aside based on her experience with the player.
    • Actually subverted. Sayori did realize at some point that Ako was developing feelings for her, but she tried to pretend that that wasn't the case.
  • Horrible Judge of Character: Sayori initially believes that she has kinship with Ako because she used to reside in the library until she met the player and broke out of her shell. Unfortunately, Sayori doesn't realize that Ako is in love with her until she attempts to kiss her.
  • Murder the Hypotenuse: Contemplated by Monika earlier before meeting Sayori's new friend.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: Monika. She becomes envious of Ako prior to meeting her, and bluntly tells Sayori that she doesn't like her because she was "boring."
    • Really, all three girls in general when they first meet Ako.
  • Oh, Crap!: Ako, upon realizing that she was falling in love with Sayori.
    • Monika when she discovers that not only is Ako an object file that was given sentience, but that she was also in love.
  • Poor Communication Kills: Had Sayori would've just given Ako the realization that she wasn't interested in her in that way, everything could've been avoided.
  • The Power of Friendship: Sayori brings Ako into existence through this.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Sayori innocently being affectionate towards Ako starts to prove to be her undoing.
  • Wham Episode:
    • Sayori brings a nameless NPC to sentience.
    • Ako inviting Sayori to her house for a slumber party only to then try to kiss her.
  • Yandere: While having moments of relapsing into that sort of behavior, Monika is gradually returning to this trope thanks to her insane jealousy towards Ako.
