Craig, Kelsey, and J.P. try to get the Witches of the Creek to cause a snow day.

  • Closest Thing We Got: The kids don't know how to make coffee, except that it requires beans, so they pour a can of black beans into a cup. They also don't know where to get a Danish, so they melt some cheddar cheese on a toaster tart.
  • Did Not Think This Through:
    • J.P. wanted to ensure the overnight snowfall stuck to the lawn, so he let the sprinkler run all night. As a result, the entire front yard and driveway is completely frozen.
    • Craig's plan to steal Bernard's phone charger is also short-sighted, as he neglects to consider unplugging it from Bernard's phone as well as the wall.
  • Inner Thoughts, Outsider Puzzlement: When it finally snows, Bernard imagines his younger self inviting him to play. Bernard is so happy, he spins around with his younger self in his arms. When Jessica looks out the window, she sees Bernard spinning around carrying nothing and thinks he's gone crazy.
  • Instant Ice: Just Add Cold!: Kelsey breaks through a frozen sidewalk like it was thin ice on a pond. When Craig and J.P. pull her out, her bottom half is encased in a block of ice.
  • Lampshade Hanging: The witches perform another made up ritual that seemingly works. They note that this happens often enough to seriously consider they might actually be magic.
  • Let There Be Snow: Craig keeps hoping that school will be canceled due to snow, but he only gets a two hour delay. Bernard tells him it's hopeless because there has never been a snow day in Herkleton. So, Craig decides to ask the Witches to make it snow.
  • Maybe Magic, Maybe Mundane: When their “spell” actually seems to work, Courtney and Tabitha begin to speculate whether they might actually have magic powers.
  • Race Against the Clock: The Stump Kids have two hours to make it snow before school opens.
  • Rule of Three: The Witches ask for three items to perform the snow spell: a cup of coffee, a Danish, and a phone charger. Lampshaded when J.P. refers to them as "these items three."
