- Awesome Mc Cool Name: Gary mentions that during his time in archives that he saw a baptism entry of one "Atlantica", where the latitude and longitude were pretty close to the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, all of the crew really like the name.
- British Stuffiness: Gary and Matt both get annoyed when they get told that Backpackers Xpress would try and get people to socialise:Tom: "Spot the British people!"
- Cargo Concealment Caper: At one point, Tom suggests putting themselves in a planes' cargo hold so they don't have to mingle with backpackers, and they jokingly consider it to be preferable.
- Distinction Without a Difference: Gary keeps trying to describe a specific section of a plane where he could be left alone, away from backpackers, and Tom notes it sounds like First Class.
