The team discovers a Level 20 technology that resembles a box and can take the form of anything it sees. When the box learns to like "destruction" from the Vreedle brothers, they have to stop it.
- Adaptive Ability: By transforming into whatever it sees, it also can mimic their abilities.
- Broke the Rating Scale: Kevin mentions that the box identifies on scanners as higher than Level 20, the highest possible level.
- Car Fu: After seeing what the box is capable of, Kevin’s first instinct is to get back in the car… and run it over.
- Energy Being: The owner of the box is in actuallity an energy alien from an upper dimension.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: When the Vreedle brothers take the box, it soon learns about destruction and takes a liking to it. They soon dump the box on the team and try to make a run for it, but they soon get seemingly killed when the box destroys their ship with them inside.
- Lampshade Hanging: After Mr. Smoothy’s gets destroyed for the umpteenth time, Kevin comments that the team are probably going to be Persona Non Grata at some point.
- My Little Panzer: The box, known throughout the universe as the infamous weapon, the Naljian Destroyer, is actually a toy for higher dimensional beings ages six million years and up.
- Poor Communication Kills: At first, the team doesn't know how the box works, so when it seemingly attacks them (in actuallity just repeating their moves), they attack it. Soon Gwen manages to calm it down by meditating and it soon imitates her and calms down.
- Power Copying: The titular box imitates anyone in front of it and what they're doing. This includes powers like Swampfire's flamethrowing, though the best approximation for Gwen's mana blasts is launching metal disks.
- Shapeshifter Mashup: At the end of the episode, the box turns into a mish-mash of the various aliens Ben has transformed throughout the episode.
