Princess Candle is a seinen medieval historical fiction Yuri manga by Ken'ya Suzuki, creator of Please Tell Me! Galko-chan. It ran in the magazine Fellows! from 2008 to 2010.

It stars Flora, a knight who is in love with Princess Skw'ah and has devoted herself to protecting her. When the wicked Queen and her Puppet King son exile her to St. Ylieu, a convent, to be rid of her, Flora begs to go with her and is allowed to do so. They spend their days in the convent until it is one day attacked by bandits and the men of Lord Swey, an ambitious noble who wants to force Skw'ah to marry him and take the throne for himself. It is up to Flora to protect her lady and save the kingdom.

This manga contains examples of:

  • All Periods Are PMS: Flora attempts to excuse her shouting at Princess Skw’ah (that she refuses to let Skw’ah carry anything because she wants to pamper her) by saying that she is on her period.
  • Ambiguous Ending: After Swey is defeated, Skw’ah is last seen carrying a bleeding Flora through the snow to safety. Whether they survive, or what happens afterwards, is left up in the air.
  • Bawdy Song: Flora sings one in Chapter 3.5 that her mother would sing when drunk.
Boy! Don’t fall for this girl!
The poor thing! Every night in the stables!
You know full well! Her tight pussy gets stretched!
  • Big Bad: Lord Swey is the leader of a coup who wants to marry Princess Skw'ah so he can become king.
  • Breather Episode: Chapters 11 and 12 are lighthearted bonding moments between Flora and Skw’ah (and in the case of 12, a lot of Fanservice) that come just before the climactic final battle.
  • Fanservice: There are several chapters where girls are shown topless and naked; of special note is Chapter 12, where the bodies of both the heroines are on full display.
  • Of Corset Hurts: During one of Flora and Yajenka’s arguments, the former pulls on the corset strings of the latter, hurting her.
  • Potty Failure: After eating some dates, Princess Skw’ah craps her dress in front of Flora, her Love Interest.
  • Smells Sexy: Skw’ah mentions liking Flora’s smell in Chapter 12, despite the smell coming from Flora forgetting to wash her clothes.
  • Suicide Dare: Flora gives her knife to Skw’ah and asks her to kill herself to get her to snap out of her crying and desire to return to the convent.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl: Flora and Skw'ah.
  • Wham Shot: Flora gives Th’na a message to take back to Marquis Miph, saying that Princess Skw’ah refuses to grant him an audience. The next panel shows Th’na ripping the letter in half, making it clear he will not take no for an answer.
  • Yuri Genre: The manga is about a knight, protector, and eventual lover of the princess who tries to rescue her from an evil lord who wants to use her to make himself king.
