Humans transform into Mons using Mon Tech, but this is only sometimes the case. The person may transform into such a creature on their own. Other times, we can have them fuse with their partner Mon, usually with The Power of Friendship or Synchronization. Sometimes, they may be a pure Mon or a Human-Mon Hybrid, depending on the transformation method. The transformed person may not be damaged when they transform into a human. Most of the time, it's usually for combat, but for others, it could be the plot's focus for an episode.

Compare Animal Eye Spy where you merely see through their eyes. Also compared with Henshin Hero, where the human transforms as their primary form of combat.

    Anime & Manga
  • Chaosic Rune: In the sequel, ES, Guran Douma has the Dragon Chaosic Rune Monster, Mad Hand Pylon, integrated into his body. Instead of summoning his Monster, he transforms into a humanoid version that increases his already fierce strength to fight other Monsters. He was one of five test subjects who have also been fused with Dragon Monsters.
  • Digimon:
    • Digimon Tamers: Tamers and their Digimon perform Biomerge Digivolution to Digivolve to their Mega Level. They are fully synchronized, but it's only possible in the Digital World or through other means in the real world.
    • Digimon Frontier: The Team uses their D-Tectors with one of their Spirits to transform into one of the Legendary Warriors Digimon.
    • Digimon Data Squad: Bio-Hybrids are humans who are genetically altered by Digimon data. They use their Digivices to transform into Bio Digimon through D.N.A. Digivolution rather than having Digimon partners.
  • MegaMan NT Warrior Axess and its sequels: NetOps* can perform Cross Fusion to become one being if they use a Synchro Chip and have a high sync rate with their NetNavi while in a Dimensional Area. The NetOp becomes a superhuman being along with gaining their Navi's abilities and can use Battle Chips while fused.
  • Pokémon:
    • Pokémon: The Series:
      • Briefly in Pokémon: The Original Series: In the episode "Hocus Pokémon", Ash and the gang help a young witch-in-training complete a spell that would allow the user to think like a Pokémon, and upon the episode's end, they use it on Ash, but rather than giving him telepathy as expected, Ash gets turned into a Pikachu (she was missing a page of the spell's description, and evidently, it did exactly what it says it would do as Ash could think like a Pokémon now). He reverts back to normal at the start of the following episode.
      • Pokémon: The Rise of Darkrai: Baron Alberto's Licklilicky is attacked by Darkrai's Dark Void, which puts it to sleep. Palkia's spatial interference causes his dream to come true, which is Licklicky's dream of becoming his trainer, transforming the baron into his own Pokémon.
      • Subverted in Pokémon the Series: XY: Ash-Greninja looks like it's a Fusion Dance combined with Synchronization between Ash and his Greninja, and the end result does look like Ash Ketchum as a Greninja, with black hair-like tufts on its sides and a forehead crest that resembles Ash's red cap. But in reality, it's just Greninja's Super Mode that happens to look like Ash (as a result of their strong bond) and Ash is still a human commanding his Pokémon to battle. However, he still does feel the same pain as Greninja and he can see through Greninja's eyes. Ash describes the experience as him becoming Greninja and Greninja becoming him.
    • Pokemon Reburst: People called Burst Warriors can use the technique called Burst, using a Burst Heart containing a Pokémon to fuse with them, becoming a Pokemon-Human hybrid and gaining their attributes while increasing their physical and defensive strengths. Not everyone can perform Burst; they need rigorous training, or their lives could be in danger if they attempt it.
  • Yo-kai Watch:
    • In Yo-kai Watch the Movie: Lord Enma and the Five Tales, Nyan!, Fuu 2 is the yokai version of Nate Adams after he fell into a manhole who later befriends a human named Yuto Arima, with his tale focusing on his bonding with him and getting used to being a Yo-kai.
    • A miniseries in the original anime taking place in an Alternate Universe, Kuroi Yo-kai Watch, mixes this with Forced Transformation, as Kuroi Jibanyan and Komasan use the titular watch to turn bad people into Yo-kai.

    Films
  • The Guardians of the Lost Code: Brijes have human partners who can use Synchronicity to achieve Warrior Forms.
  • Pokémon Detective Pikachu: Howard Clifford merges his mind with Mewtwo through a neural link headband. He also uses Mewtwo's psychic powers in a plan with the chemical R to fuse people and their Pokemon together so that humanity can be "cured" of their natural flaws.

    Fan Works
  • We Are All Pokémon Trainers: There are many methods of being transformed into a Pokémon:
    • People with human to Pokémon Armbands or other sorts of transformation devices can use them to transform into Pokémon for as long as they're wearing the item.
    • Weremons can transform into Pokémon at will or under certain conditions such as the classic full moon, with or without the assistance of enchanted items.
    • The Omniband is a special human to Pokémon Armband that allows a person to transform into one of seven different Pokémon, with the oldest genetic sample being deleted upon a new sample acquisition.
    • Visiting a Pokémon Majority Dimension such as PMD-A (the universe of the canon Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games) will transform humans into Pokémon upon entry.
    • In the backstory of PMD-B, the Seven Jerk Dragons used reverse-engineered Alakagross technology to create bombs that they used to turn the vast majority of humanity into Pokémon in order to circumvent the Vow's rules on Pokémon/human conflict.
    • Burst Heart users can transform into human-Pokémon hybrids.

    Video Games
  • Bugsnax: Snakification is the process by which a Grumpus' body transforms into the same Bugsnax they consume. If they eat enough Bugsnax, their body will break apart and turn into Bugsnax.
  • Cassette Beasts: People transported to New Wirral can transform into monsters using a tape recorder and a recorded cassette with monster data to change and fight them. By recording these Mons, they can transform into multiple different forms with a carry limit of six. If their form is reduced to 0 HP, they will revert to human form with possible excess damage. The player can also fuse with a partner to create a stronger Mon with their power based on their relationship.
  • Fate/Grand Order:
    • Demi-Servants are humans cultivated to take on the Saint Graphs of Heroic Spirits to act much like Servants. The Demi-Servants are granted the abilities of the Heroic Spirit, though they are based on the person's mentality. This means that if they don't have a strong mentality, they may not access anything from their Hero, even the Noble Phantasm.
    • Pseudo-Servants, similar to Demi-Servants, are created when Heroic and Divine Spirits who don't qualify as Heroes fuse with compatible humans to become Servants. Their personalities will merge into a third personality that combines parts of the Spirit and vessel. The Servants' Skills will change based on the host, which may lower, modify, or create a unique Skill. They also can grow different from a Servant's record in the Throne of Heroes due to being beings who are alive and dead.
  • Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance]: Near the end of the game, Ansem, Seeker of Darkness reveals that Riku became a Spirit Dream Eater who spent the Mark of Mastery exam inside Sora's dreams. This explains why he has the Spirit emblem on his back, and his Link Style, Dual Style, allows him to fuse with his Spirit Dream Eaters.
  • Mega Man Star Force: EM Wave Change occurs when a human merges with an EM being that they are compatible with, gaining access to their abilities and using Battle Cards as weapons. In Star Force 3, EM Wave Change has converted to Transcoding with the Hunter-VGs because EM beings are transformed into Wizards. This method uses data rather than just EM Waves from the Stellite Server for registered humans to change as a part of Project-TC. This project aims to perfect synthetic Wave Change with artificial Wizards and their operators to minimize the risk to users' bodies.
  • Pokémon:
    • Pokémon Red and Blue: Thanks to an accident with the PC Storage System's teleportation, Bill, the PC Admin, was fused with a Pokémon. The player helps him transform back into a human.
    • In the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series, a human is transformed into a Pokémon and transported to a world filled with Pokémon.
  • Shin Megami Tensei:
    • Shin Megami Tensei I: The Chaos Hero, after being beaten by Ozama's minion, Minakata, decides to gain strength by fusing with one of the protagonist's Demons. This gives him enough strength to easily defeat Minakata and fight Ozama.
    • Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne: The protagonist survives the Conception, turning the world into the Vortex World. He encounters a young blonde child with his nursemaid as the child drops a Magatama that merges with the human and transforms him into the Demi-fiend, a being with the body of a Demon and heart of a human to survive in the demon-ridden Vortex World.
    • Shin Megami Tensei V: Nahobino are humans who regained Knowledge in the form of Demons by fusing with them, giving them godlike powers. The protagonist fuses with Aogami to become a Nahobino when he's transported to Da'at. Other Nahobinos are shown throughout the story as the protagonist explores Da'at while defending Tokyo.
    • Digital Devil Saga: Humans infected with the Atma virus can transform into Demons, giving them supernatural abilities such as magic. Each person infected has a hunger for other Demons, which can help them gain more power but, if ignored, can cause them to berserk with an uncontrollable gluttony.
  • Yo-kai Watch:
    • Yo-kai Watch 2: When all three versions of the game are linked, depending on their gender, the player can battle and befriend Moximous N or Moximous K, the undead versions of the protagonist's grandpa whose heroic nature follows them even in death.
    • Yo-kai Watch Blasters: In Moon Rabbit Crew, you can befriend Fuu 2, the Yo-kai version of Nate Adams, whose mission is based on the events of the second movie and Inspirits people to be extraordinarily average.
    • Yo-kai Watch 3: In addition to the previous examples above, this game adds Mee 2 in the Sukiyaka version, who has three side quests and is the Yo-kai version of Katie Forester from a parallel world where she is the canon protagonist over Nate. When transferring to the other's world, they change into their respective Yo-kai forms.

    Western Animation
  • Chaotic: Players in the Dromes can use the cards in their Code Scanners and transform into Creatures when they battle other players. The human body is being piloted by Sonnie, the monster, to give the illusion of her controlling the beast instead of vice versa.
