General

  • Any moment between Marinette and Adrien can make you smile.
  • In general, while Adrien's life at the beginning sucks, he manages to pull himself out through sheer effort. He's got great friends, a healthy school life, and (eventually) a wonderful partner in super-heroism; the girl he's crushing on is starting to return those feelings (technically she has been in love with his superhero identity for awhile, but she has recently started to love his civilian identity as well) and eventually starts to date him; and he's also taking the reins of his own future instead of passively relying on others.
  • Marinette's friendship with Pollen is quite adorable, too, especially with the latter's cheerful Genki Girl personality and Undying Loyalty to her holder.
  • Fu being willing to train and work with both Chat Noir and Marigold equally can be this for those who hate how badly he neglected the former in canon. It also allows the duo to avoid the many problems his favoritism caused and enables them to communicate much more effectively.

    Season 1
Origins Part 1: Tales of Chloé the Ladybug
  • Marinette was at first perfectly content with ignoring the akuma, but she springs into action when she realizes Alya might be in danger. It really shows how much she cares about her new best friend.
  • In his first appearance, Adrien eagerly anticipates being a superhero. Too bad he's in for a rude awakening...
  • Marinette helps Chat Noir by pointing out how Stoneheart doesn't open his fist. Chat Noir thanks her and even remarks that she should be a hero instead of Scarlet Lady.

Origins Part 2: Tales of Chat Noir the Exhausted

  • Marinette's face when she falls for Chat Noir.
  • Marinette is visibly touched by Adrien telling Chloé off for her bullying.
  • When Adrien meets Nino for the first time and tells him how he never had friends out of Chloé, Nino passionately declares that he'll be his friend now.
  • Marinette declares she'll be Adrien's friend. Lightning strikes... and he's definitely in love. The two then bond on the way home over their mutual hatred of Scarlet Lady. Marinette even whispers, "I love you," after hearing Adrien call Scarlet Lady the worst for Stealing the Credit for all of Chat Noir's hard work.

Stormy Weather: Tales of Aurore the Weather Girl

  • Adrien absolutely lights up when Marinette waves at him as she, Alya, and Manon pass by him in the park.
  • The Gorilla lets Manon climb over him, and he even smiles when she claims she's tall.
  • After being freed from the block of ice, Manon rushes into Marinette's arms, who warmly hugs the young girl. The Gorilla gives Marinette an Affectionate Gesture to the Head.
  • Adrien's photo session with Marinette.
  • At the end of "Stormy Weather," we get to see what came of the weather girl competition: Aurore apologizes to Mireille for attacking her while akumatized, only for Mireille to urge Aurore to take the weather girl position instead. As it turns out, Aurore's fans have been furiously calling in to complain to Alec about the competition being rigged, and Mireille is also furious with the host.

The Bubbler: Tales of Nino the Party Planner

Lady Wifi: Tales of Alya the Journalist

  • Though she's Chloé's loyal lackey, Sabrina's still shocked when her friend gets Alya suspended, admitting to Kim that Alya didn't deserve it, especially when she didn't even do anything to Chloé.
  • Even while akumatized, Alya has nothing but good things to say about her best friend. In fact, after finally realizing that Marinette really isn't Scarlet Lady, Lady Wifi decides to steal the earrings from the Ladybug heroine to give to Marinette, proclaiming that the latter would make the perfect hero.
  • Alya apologizes to Marinette for being too impulsive in her attempts to prove her hunch and concedes that she should've just asked Marinette directly.
  • At the end of the episode, Alya says that Marinette would make a great hero. Marinette replies she could only be one if Alya was one as well.

Mr. Pigeon: Tales of Xavier the Bird Man

  • Despite initially spiraling about the design contest, hearing Adrien's sincere praise of her work gives Marinette back her confidence, and she has a big, sparkling smile on her face when she looks at him.
  • Marinette laughs as Chat Noir shows her how to "act natural" (which seemingly includes doing the Gangnam Style dance). He later kisses her hand while praising her as a "true visionary" when she figures out how to use the Lucky Charm, with Marinette blushing and sporting a big grin.
  • At the end, M. Ramier is taken by Marianne Lenore to a roof where he can feed pigeons without being disturbed.

The Pharaoh: Tales of Jalil the Conspiracy Theorist

  • Tikki tries to Throw the Dog a Bone by suggesting Chloé take Sabrina to a nice outing at the museum. Unfortunately, Chloé instead thinks that there's a brand-new Scarlet Lady exhibit and just ends up ditching her study date with Sabrina.
  • Plagg sympathetically notes that Adrien is dealing with a lot more than most of the Kwami's past wielders, foreshadowing Plagg's intent to be more outright helpful towards his holder. He also tells Adrien he's a pretty cool Cat.

Horrificator: Tales of Mylène the Actress

  • Upon finding Chloé's favorite nail polish on the floor, Sabrina quickly becomes worried about her friend and determined to find her despite the danger.
  • Marinette rushes in to save Sabrina (who at this point is still Chloé's lackey) at the cost of getting captured herself. Sabrina is touched by this and collapses crying while blaming herself for her classmate being taken by the akuma.
  • Ivan and Myléne's sweet kiss after she explains she isn't scared of him as he had feared.
  • Nino apologizes for "going full direct-tator" on his friends.

Rogercop: Tales of Roger the Police Officer

  • Sabrina and Adrien absolutely light up when they each receive a croissant from Marinette.
  • Everyone in the class (minus Chloé) is noticeably concerned about Sabrina spiraling into a Heroic BSoD following Roger's firing, even though she's mainly been Chloé's Beta Bitch all this time. Nathaniel later calls Chloé out on accusing Marinette and Sabrina.
  • Mayor Bourgeois is overjoyed to see that his daughter is alive and well (though it's slightly ruined by Chloé ignoring him for her purse).

    Season 2
Darkblade: Tales of Armand the Knight
  • Sabine notices Sabrina looks a bit down (she still has Dull Eyes of Unhappiness from Chloé getting her father fired) and gives her a bag of cookies as a pick-me-up. Her kind gesture brings tears to Sabrina's eyes.
  • Though she's violating Marinette's privacy, Sabrina quickly cheers up and has some genuine non-malicious fun as she looks around Marinette's room. She excitedly notes that she and Marinette have the same hat and hugs Marinette's black cat plushie while remarking how cute it is.
  • When Chloé attempts to claim Sabrina was the one who came up with the idea of stealing Marinette's diary, Alix quickly jumps in to defend Sabrina, pointing out the latter only acts out when Chloé forces her to. Sabrina is visibly appreciative of this.

The Gamer: Tales of Max the Pro Gamer

  • Before everything goes to hell, Marinette and Adrien have a lot of fun playing Ultimate Mecha Strike III together as they practice for the tournament.
  • After Chat Noir saves Marinette from Gamer, Marinette asks him to go back—because her friend Adrien is still there and could be in danger.
  • Max has a Jerkass Realization about his unsportsmanlike behavior and apologizes to Marinette for unfairly blaming her. Not only that, but when Adrien offers to drop out and let Max take his place in the tournament, Max protests on the grounds that Adrien earned his spot fairly, showing Max really has learned his lesson about being a Graceful Loser.

Reflekta: Tales of Juleka the Goth

  • Adrien and Nino take selfies together at the beginning.
  • The class encouraging Juleka to join them in the photo. Juleka shines of happiness.
  • Rose performs a Diving Save on Sabrina.
  • Instead of zapping Rose like all her other victims, Reflekta simply tells her not to interfere. Even when Brainwashed and Crazy, Juleka still deeply cares about Rose.
  • Though he's initially put off that Plagg gave his Miraculous to someone else, once Adrien realizes that Maotif is really Marinette, he quickly warms up to her.
  • Maotif taking a selfie with Juleka.
  • Adrien (hidden so no one can realize he's Chat Noir) kissing Marinette's hand after her stint as Maotif, stating she's a hero.
  • Marinette and Adrien convince the photographer to take another photo of their class so that Juleka gets to be in it. Alix also tells Sabrina to join them, with the latter lighting up as she rushes to join everyone else.

Timebreaker: Tales of Alix the Skater

  • When Ondine shows up to cheer on Kim, everyone warmly welcomes her to the group. Marinette even thinks that the girl is too good for Kim.
  • Seeing Alix skates off in tears about her broken watch, the class immediately huddles together to make plans about how to fix it.
  • After Alix gets akumatized, Kim's first thought is to get Ondine away.
  • When Alix states that It's All My Fault that her watch got broken because she wasn't careful, Alya reassures her that she was being careful by ensuring her watch was in a safe place while she was racing.
  • Marinette apologizes to her parents for not being at the bakery when Nadja arrived, which caused the reporter to interrupt Tom and Sabine's anniversary date with a phone call. They don't blame her for it, noting Nadja was the one who arrived earlier than the agreed upon time.

Volpina: Tales of Lila the Liar/FOX

  • Plagg tells Adrien about Lila's theft the first chance he gets, showing he intends on acting on his observation that Adrien's dealing with a lot more than most of the Kwami's past wielders.
  • Marinette is visibly concerned about Lila after the latter gets thrown into a fountain by Scarlet Lady, calling out to her as she runs away in humiliation.
  • When Volpina grumbles about Marinette also being in Adrien's room, he immediately pushes Marinette behind him and stands up to the akuma despite still being in his civilian form.

The Collector: Tales of Gabriel the TOP SECRET

  • Adrien blackmails his father into downgrading his original punishment of being pulled out of school for stealing and seemingly losing the Grimoire, but he doesn't attempt to get off scot-free by threatening to dye his hair or wear tacky clothes in public. It's nice to see that while Adrien has learned to stand up to his father, he hasn't let his newfound power over Gabriel get to his head and still accepts facing reasonable consequences for his actions.
  • By this point, Sabrina has largely already grown disillusioned with Chloé and is only really only hanging with her out of habit. Still, she awkwardly tries to comfort Chloé when the latter bursts into tears at the thought of Adrien never returning to school (she mistakenly thought that's what Adrien "being grounded" meant).
  • At the end, Marinette reassures Lila that she's not alone despite having been humiliated by Scarlet Lady, telling her how Rose and Alix came to her defense while she was gone.

La Befana: Tales of Gina the Witch

  • Though Alya assigning Sabrina as the "Chloé wrangler" is Played for Laughs, it really shows how close Sabrina has grown to the rest of the class if Alya trusts her to make sure Chloé doesn't ruin the party. Sabrina in turn doesn't hesitate to put Marinette's birthday party ahead of her "best friend" Chloé getting her way.
  • Adrien's gift is a hand-made bracelet he crafted to replace the one Marinette loaned him in "The Gamer"; Marinette loves it, much to his joy.
  • After getting her to safety, Chat Noir wishes Marinette, "Bon Anniversaire," and kisses her on the cheek before leaving. Marinette is then seen flustered and blushing uncontrollably.
  • Lila shows up at Marinette's birthday and is welcomed with open arms (with a few exceptions), with it being revealed that Sabrina, Rose, and Alix all invited her. She also gives Marinette a beautiful Carnevale mask that the latter loves (though Lila does admit she wanted to get rid of the mask because it reminds her of "you-know-who").
  • Tikki cries a tear of joy when she sees that Marinette got her gift and appreciates it despite not knowing its significance.

Evillustrator: Tales of Nathaniel the Artist

  • What finally pushes Sabrina past her Rage Breaking Point isn't Chloé's usual abuse of their "friendship" but Chloé insisting that she's Sabrina's Only Friend, thus dismissing all the kindness the rest of the class has shown Sabrina. She even yells at Chloé that she's sick of hearing her badmouthing the class before attempting to start a fistfight.
  • Nathaniel and Alix are apparently quite close friends; he originally planned to spend his birthday with her and seemingly only told her and Marinette about his birthday.
  • Marinette and Sabrina's interactions as the latter starts to move on from Chloé (especially after she left the two of them to work on the school project).
  • The day after his birthday, Nathaniel is shown to be worried about Marinette and afraid that he may have hurt her the night before.
  • Alix is initially furious that Nathaniel ditched all the plans he made with her for his birthday. She quickly forgives him, though, after he explains he was an akuma, even fistbumping him as she welcomes he to the "Birthday Akuma Club."

    Season 3
Vanisher: Tales of Sabrina the Invisible
  • Lila has seemingly bonded with her deskmate Nathaniel, who fistbumps her when she proclaims the akuma is telling the truth by scribbling insult drawings of Chloé on the chalkboard.
  • Plagg purrs and grooms Tikki when the two meet.
  • When Adrien curls up into a Troubled Fetal Position after his Freak Out over Scarlet Lady being a late-/no-show for the third time in a row, Fu gently pats the teenager on the head and promises to send help.
  • Chat Noir lets Tikki hide in his hair and cling to his shoulder as they confront the Vanisher. Once they've defeated the akuma, he also lets her sit on his hand both before and after she casts the Miraculous Cure.
  • When he comes to visit her after the akuma fight, Chat Noir gives Marinette a peach-colored rose, which means "thank you"; he explains that it's because she kept her promise (to his knowledge anyway) to stay out of akuma fights.
  • In spite of his doubts about Marigold, Chat Noir agrees to give her a chance after Marinette asks him to.
  • Part Awesome as well, but Marinette, predicting that her new bee-themed accessory would be seen sooner-or-later, created several bee-themed resin-casted accessories and shares them with the girls of her class. Not only is she protecting her secret identity, she and the rest of the girls (sans Chloé) now have something to share.

Riposte: Tales of Kagami the Fencer

Captain Hardrock: Tales of Anarka the Pirate

  • Following the battle with Captain Hardrock, Chat Noir and Marigold share a fist bump for the first time. It's made all the sweeter by the fact that it's Chat Noir who initiates it. Marigold's overjoyed reaction just clinches it.
  • In Marinette's room, after facing Captain Hardrock, you can see Tikki's Kwagatama on a necklace.
  • Pollen reassures a conflicted Marinette that she doesn't have to feel bad about liking multiple people (though her suggestion to Marry Them All arguably leaves Marinette more flustered than before).

Syren: Tales of Ondine the Mermaid

  • Chat Noir puts an arm around Marigold's shoulder and calls her "an amazing partner I can rely on" on live TV. This gives Marigold a big blush.
  • Before Marigold shows up, Kim and Syren seem to actually be having fun swimming through the flooded Paris together.
  • Anarka and Luka arrive to rescue the class. Juleka herself, (apart from sassing her brother for being disappointed he's not saving Marinette as well), is very relieved at her family's quick response to the flood, and Luka assures his sister that they moved as soon as they saw the Seine overflowing.
  • After Syren is defeated, Ondine is cold in her swimsuit. Kim puts his coat over her and offers to carry her back to the pool. Chat Noir and Marigold point out they could take them there faster, but Kim says, "I said I'm taking her! I'm not sharing!" Ondine looks surprised and happy, sporting a bright blush.
  • After Ondine finishes up another lap, Kim takes the chance to invite her to go see a movie with him. She responds with a Big "YES!" and a glomp.

Dark Cupid: Tales of Kim the Romantic

  • It's revealed at the start that Kagami and Ondine are close enough friends that Kagami internally plans to maim Kim if he hurts Ondine in any way.
  • Max counsels Kim on what present to buy for Ondine. He may be awkward about the idea of them showing PDA in front of him, but it's clear he's happy for his friend.
  • Though it's Played for Laughs, Rose is such a Nice Girl that even when corrupted by Dark Cupid, all she manages to do is tell her girlfriend Juleka is that she hates how tall and gorgeous the latter is. Likewise, when Marigold gets hit by the akuma's arrows, the worst insults she can come up with about Chat Noir is that his kindness and friendliness is insufferable.
  • Ondine arrives just in time to learn the about the misunderstanding earlier and that Kim wants her and not Chloé to be his girlfriend. She blushes.
  • Kim and Ondine finally get together and have a Big Damn Kiss.
  • Marigold thanks Adrien for believing in her and gives him a kiss on the cheek. It makes him blush, and he has to remind himself that he's in love with Marinette, not knowing the two are the same person.
  • In the episode end-card, Ondine phones Kagami, and Kim happily grabs Max. They're both eager to let their friends know about the Relationship Upgrade.

Intermission: Tales of Marinette the Bee

  • The boys going out to have fun to the arcade, with Adrien included. It feels great to see Adrien finally getting to spend time with his friends on an outing—something he's missed out on for most of his life. In addition, other guys decide to use their time to win Marigold merchandise for Adrien. While it's based on their (mistaken) impression that he has a crush on the heroine, it's awesome to see them doing it.
  • In a rare Pet the Dog moment, Gabriel sits down to share a meal with Nathalie and Nooroo. This small moment (as well as letting Adrien actually have time with his friends—albeit so a bored Adrien doesn't wander about the mansion and stumble upon his dark secret) may actually make Gabriel Agreste a better human being than Chloé, who we all know treats Tikki like complete garbage and considers Adrien her prize for just "gracing the universe with her presence."
  • Although it's clear he's desperate to convince HIMSELF that Scarlet Lady is his true opponent despite her clear incompetence, it's also nice to see Gabriel have some degree of respect for his enemies in his civilian life and be willing to defend the Ladybug heroine. Granted, he could be trying to cover his ass by approving of them within earshot of Adrien (since he might risk giving himself away by openly disliking the heroes), and he might be just trying to refuse to admit he's losing to an idiot, but Gabriel doesn't give his respect easily.
  • The girls' Slumber Party, where all of them are having fun. Even Lila and Alya seem to be getting along despite Alya being annoyed that the latter was invited at all, which Marinette defends by saying Lila is five times cooler than Chloé.
    • Before it begins, Marinette makes sure that Pollen has snacks and is comfy since the Kwami can't be seen by the other girls; the Kwami assures her holder that she has provided Pollen with more than enough. Marinette then gives her a kiss goodnight and promises to be back later for patrol, showing that Pollen even has her own little bed to sleep in. The Kwami's reaction indicates that this is the nicest any of her owners have ever treated her:
Pollen: [Blushing] Am I the Queen?
    • During the party, Marinette shows the group the dolls she made to play with the kids she babysits. Those who have been akumatized grab the ones that resemble their akuma forms, and they seem to have fun with them.
    • When Alya questions Alix's Odd Friendship with the "girlier" Lila and Sabrina, Alix doesn't even bat a lash while defending them.
      • Not only that, but it appears Alix is helping them work out their rage issues by introducing them to the world of roller derby.
      • A photo shows Lila acting like an Obsessive Sports Fan as she cheers Sabrina on during a roller derby game.
    • While Alya, Rose, and Mylène are mistaken about Scarlet Lady being anything close to a hero, it's sweet that, at least in their mindset, they're defending a misunderstood hero. Lila and Alix end up on Team Worst with Marinette, who has no problem telling her best friend that Scarlet Lady is really the worst. Meanwhile, Juleka and Sabrina take a neutral stance believing all the heroes work hard to protect them, which, to be fair, they're 2/3rds right about.
  • Marinette as Marigold meets up with Chat Noir where the two happily chat with each other. This is in contrast to both his aloof and untrusting self when they first met and especially to his "partnership" with Scarlet Lady.
    • Chat Noir gives Marigold a headband with bee antennae, one of the items his friends won for him, noting that her popularity is quickly rising.
    • While discussing the matter of Scarlet Lady, Marinette expresses concern about how the Ladybug heroine's Kwami is doing, still blissfully unaware that Tikki was originally meant to be hers. Chat also notes that even if Tikki could somehow just abandon Scarlet Lady for a new owner, the Kwami likely wouldn't; she would be more concerned with saving Nooroo than her own happiness.

Animan: Tales of Otis the Zookeeper

Puppeteer: Tales of Manon the Doll Master

Pixelator: Tales of Vincent the Super Fan

Guitar Villain: Tales of Jagged Stone the Rock Star

  • Jagged is still wearing the Eiffel Tower glasses Marinette made for him in "Pixelator" and decides he wants her as the designer of his next album cover, to which Penny agrees. The young designer clearly made a good impression on the rock star and his aide.
  • When Jagged sees the design that Bob forced Marinette to make for him, he doesn't fault her whatsoever and politely asks her to make what she thinks will look best.
  • Théo thanks Chat Noir for saving him. It doubles as Funny since Scarlet Lady was the one who actually saved Théo, but given the sculptor's disillusionment with her, he's likely long already realized that Chat Noir is the unrecognized true hero of Paris. Chat Noir, in turn, happily accepts Théo's gratitude, showing that he doesn't hold any hard feelings against the sculptor for what happened back in "Copycat."
  • Chat Noir calling Marigold awesome after she tames Dragon!Fang.
  • Everyone congratulates Marinette when her album cover gets published and asks for autographs.

Princess Fragrance: Tales of Rose the Princess

  • Just like in canon, Rose is utterly enamored with Prince Ali's charity work, and Juleka is fully supportive of Rose pursuing a relationship with the prince. Unlike in canon, where Rose and Juleka's relationship started being shown (if not outright said) as romantic in season 2, here, Rose and Juleka are girlfriends, and Juleka isn't jealous or hurt at all.
  • When Marinette sees Chloé holding a sick Tikki while passing by in her limo, she naturally panics for the little Kwami's safety. While she's wrongly assumes Chloé stole Tikki from the former, it's still nice of her to show concern about Scarlet Lady's carelessness and care about the Kwami that should have been hers.
  • Pollen can be seen combing Marinette's hair when the latter notices that Chloé has Tikki.
  • Marinette takes Tikki to Master Fu for healing and gives her a tender goodbye hug before she returns to Chloé. Tikki has tears in her eyes as she embraces her should-have-been holder. Moreover, Pollen is the one who insists on the good-bye hug and even declares that her "Queen" gives the best ones. She also whispers to Tikki that the Ladybug Kwami is the only one who'll be allowed to share Marinette with Pollen.
  • Prince Ali and Rose manage to hit it off despite Chloé trying to stop them. In fact, on the way to the hospital, Prince Ali expresses interest in meeting Juleka. In the end, both Ali and Juleka are dating Rose with no complaints.

    Season 4
Despair Bear: Tales of Jean the Butler
  • Marinette goes straight to Fu to make clear that they need to get the earrings away from Scarlet Lady ASAP. What lit this fire under her? Seeing Tikki so sickly, realizing that her holder neglected her health and did nothing to help her.
  • While Marinette discusses her concerns with Master Fu, Pollen busies herself with braiding her holder's hair and showing off her handiwork to Wayzz.
  • When Chloé tries to frame Marinette for her latest prank, Alya and Adrien immediately jump to her defense. If you're not a fan of canon for constantly making Marinette The Scapegoat for something going wrong, this is actually pretty satisfying.
  • Right before he declares that his "friendship" with Chloé is over, Adrien mentions he's learned over the course of the past several months at school what real friendship looks like. That (plus Scarlet Lady's antics and Marigold's actual heroism) was what opened his eyes to Chloé's toxicity that he can no longer stand for.
  • Before they get the invite to Chloé's party, Marinette is giving the girls new clothing items, with Rose eagerly cheering that hers fits perfectly.
  • Adrien compliments Marinette and is clearly impressed by how good her dress is.
  • When Chloé attempts to dance with him, Nathaniel grabs the person closest to him to get out of it. Said person happens to be Marc, who doesn't mind dancing with him at all, admitting that Chloé scares them, too, while Nathaniel thinks they're too cute.
  • Adrien asks Marinette to dance with him (both of them blushing as he takes her hand), and when he reveals that he broke off his friendship with Chloé (and that she's not making up for everything she did by throwing a party just to suck up to him), Marinette gives a Laugh of Love as she leans into him. The author comments, "While you're being snarky, Adrien, you don't even notice you gained +10 romance points!" At the same time, the earlier starry-eyed Aurore can be seen dancing with Kagami behind them.
  • There's Adrinette Ship Tease galore in this chapter:
    • Adrien reveals that he was actually looking forward to making macarons in class earlier, which prompts Marinette to offer him a lesson at the bakery anytime he wants. She even says she'll bring some to school the next day to Adrien's excitement.
    • Also, Adrien sees Marinette is cold and takes off his jacket so she can wear it.

Sapotis: Tales of the Césaire Twins

  • Chris sobs when he hears that Ella and Etta won't be going to the amusement park tomorrow, blaming himself even though he never meant to get them in trouble. Nino pats him on the back while Alya reassures the boy he isn't at fault for the twins' mischief.
  • In spite of how outclassed he was, Nino still went after the akuma because they kidnapped Chris.
  • While it doubles as Funny since it was clear that Adrien wanted to give the Fox Miraculous to Marinette, it's still sweet that his second choice was his first real friend, Nino.
  • Who becomes Fox Trot's first fan? Chris, his younger brother.
  • Chat Noir offers Chris the chance to destroy the akuma butterfly, exciting the young boy.
  • When the twins are finally deakumatized, Alya Glomps them, stating that she is going to kill Hawkmoth for putting her sisters in danger.
  • Marigold helps Alya get the twins home and puts one of them to bed, having to gently disengage her arms from around her neck.
  • Alya meets Fox Trot for first time. She has to stifle a loud babble of questions for fear of waking up the twins and Chris.
  • When Alya begins sobbing over how much she ignored Scarlet Lady's incompetence, Nino (as Fox Trot) consoles her, telling her she can fix things now that she knows the truth.
  • Nino and Trixx apparently bonded very quickly; the two of them even (unsuccessfully) plead with Puppy-Dog Eyes for Chat Noir to let Nino keep the Kwami.
  • Nino blushes from being praised by Chris, both as a civilian and as Fox Trot. Adrien smiles knowingly at his best friend all the while.

Anansi: Tales of Nora the Martial Artist

  • When everyone explains to Nora how they'll be able to take care of themselves when they go to see the fireworks, Nino says, "... Alya's a queen who can take care of herself," causing Alya to sparkle with pleasure.
  • Nora challenges Nino to an arm-wrestling contest to prove he can take care of Alya; he, Adrien, Marinette, and Alya all accept the challenge and work together to beat her, declaring their intention to stand by each other and protect each other with The Power of Love and The Power of Friendship, showing just how close they all are. It's equal parts corny and heartwarming.
  • It's easy to miss, but Lila was spending time with her mother and Sabrina on the Ferris wheel before Anansi's attack.
  • Much like Adrien, Marinette's first choice for a hero is her best friend, Alya.
  • Marigold gives Koki Marina a chance to be the one to challenge Anansi in the ring with the boxing gloves. Koki gives a happy squeal at this: "EEEE!"
  • When Nino praises his girlfriend, Koki Marina (who is, of course, said girlfriend) is moved to tears. She gladly lets him record her for the Ladyblog and shows off her costume.
  • Much like Nino and Trixx, Alya swiftly bonds with Wayzz, to the point where Marigold has to order them to cut it out.
  • When Nino reveals that he has footage of the new hero, Alya Glomps him and calls him awesome, even though she knows it's her. It seems to be mainly because he resisted any temptation from Koki Marina and praised his regular girlfriend to her, calling Alya "the most amazing person ever."
  • By the end of the episode, Alya's Scarlet Lady phone charm is replaced with a Marigold charm, showing Alya's newfound respect towards Marigold in light of having acknowledged Scarlet Lady's true colors.

Troublemaker: Tales of Penny the Manager

  • When Bob Roth suggests that Jagged Stone make a guest appearance on what sounds like a dating game show, Jagged tells him to suck it. Penny rushes in to stop the fight by suggesting an alternative that Jagged Stone finds much more agreeable, which causes Jagged to call Penny the best and kiss her cheek.
  • Penny gushing about how wonderful Jagged is.
  • Jagged praise Marinette on live TV, telling the world that she made the cover of his last album.
  • Adrien tunes in the program so he can see Marinette, and Squees when he sees her wearing her baker uniform.
  • Adrien's utterly overjoyed reaction when he realizes that Marinette likes Chat Noir and, by extension, him.
  • Adrien being respectful enough of Marinette's feelings to wait until she confesses on her own terms.
  • Jagged apologizing for his role in causing Penny's akumatization and promising to do his best to take care of her in the future.
  • Marinette asks her parents to ask and give her notice when they want her to help out in the bakery or babysit since she's gotten really busy lately with all her responsibilities. They both immediately agree.
  • Alya going out of her way to convince everyone that Marinette's crush on Chat Noir is just a celebrity crush and getting the class to wear Chat Noir-themed outfits, all so that her best friend won't feel embarrassed.
  • Adrien's reaction to his class showing their love for Chat Noir, including crying tears of gratitude when Alya mentions how the hero doesn't get the recognition he deserves.

Glaciator (Intermission 2)

  • Nino decides to help Alya take her mind off the Scarlet Lady situation by taking her out on a date.
  • Alya finally begins burying the hatchet with Lila and asks her for an interview, causing the latter to light up with joy and then affectionately cling to Alya's arm.
  • While it's caused by Adrien's attempt to invite Marinette "platonically," it's nice to see her quickly sending an invite to Luka and Kagami to join them.
  • Marinette mentions how her father proposed to her mother with "lovers' ice cream," and Luka pokes her cheek with a smile.
  • After Kagami tells Chloé off for showing up uninvited, Luka happily shares his friendship ice cream with the former. He even corrects her and states that the two of them are friends instead of just "friends of friends."
  • Marigold takes advantage of having to fake being a couple to sneak a kiss on Chat Noir's cheek.
  • Before getting her ice cream, Marinette brings André a letter from her grandmother Gina, who had flirted with him back on Marinette's birthday.
  • Marinette gets a Chat Noir ice cream while Adrien gets one that represents both Marinette and Marigold.

Silencer: Tales of Luka the Musician

  • Though Adrien can't enter Bob Roth's contest with them for contractual reasons, Kitty Section still keeps him in the loop, including by telling him about Bob Roth copying them. In turn, Adrien does his best to help his friends through his father, informing Gabriel through Nathalie of Bob Roth's plagiarism and trying to convince her that it's in Gabriel's best interests to cut off his business partnership with Bob.
  • Even when Brainwashed and Crazy, Luka's feelings for Marinette don't change, and he ends up confessing to her instead.
  • Upon finding out that Marigold had her voice stolen by Silencer, Chat Noir immediately gives her a hug and promises her that they'll get her voice back straight away.
  • What ultimately gives the heroes the opening they need to stop Silencer? Kitty Section telling him that this isn't what they or Marinette want, causing him to freeze.
  • Adrien gets a Kitty Section costume at the end and takes a selfie of himself wearing it. Word of God even states that this is meant to be his reward for trying to help his friends by telling his father of Bob Roth's plagiarism.
  • Jagged Stone makes it clear that Bob Roth's threats against "his favorite designer" and her friends (especially his children) are not going to go unnoticed. He also has Fang eat Chloé's shoes so she won't be a Karma Houdini for helping Bob Roth and XY plagiarize Kitty Section.

Desperada: Tales of Vivica the Guitarist

  • Though he doesn't exactly take it well that Luka confessed to Marinette, Adrien still encourages her to talk to Luka, reassuring her that Luka isn't the kind of guy who'd hold her confused feelings against her.
  • It turns out Jagged fired his guitarist because he wanted an excuse to play music with Luka and Juleka, his children.
  • Juleka implicitly ships Jagged and Penny.
  • Luka tells Marinette that he likes every side of her and that he never meant to pressure her into returning his feelings.
  • Kagami tries to push Adrien to make a move and ask Marinette out.

Ikari Gozen: Tales of Tomoe the Swordswoman

  • Upon learning that Adrien is the "Hidden Celebrity" for the KIDZ+ hunt, the class all declare that one of them must win simply because they want to prevent a stalker or creepy old person from using the contest to get close to Adrien.
  • Kagami keeps her entire contact list memorized because she knows her mother's likely reaction is to forbid her from contacting her friends. After being friendless for so long, she isn't going to give up what she has found.
  • Unlike canon, Marinette does not do any jealous scheming to spoil the game for Kagami. She just says, "Kagami's my buddy, yay!" with Kagami replying, "I'm glad too." There are even hearts as they gaze at each other, and the two walk off with arms linked.
  • Kagami brings up the issue of nicknames since she's never had one. The two gladly share ideas on what to call each other while they keep hunting.
  • Kagami tells her mother off by stating she has lots of wonderful friends. Sadly, that's the moment Tomoe is akumatized, much to Kagami's frustration.
  • Kagami clinging to Marigold's arm, preferring she remain behind to protect her while Chat Noir leaves to get a Miraculous. Later, when the Bee heroine has to Bridal Carry her, despite the danger, Kagami has a smile on her face while saying Chat can take his time. The author also confirms that Kagami has had a crush on Marigold for the longest time.
  • After being deakumatized, Tomoe asks where Kagami is, and Ryūko tells her she'll be back soon.
  • Ryūko joins in the "Bien Joué!" Fist Bump after the fight.
  • Though Longg is initially mad at Kagami for interrupting him earlier, she's Easily Forgiven after apologizing to the Kwami, who pats her on the head while praising her for showing wisdom by admitting fault.
  • Kagami tells her mother that while she knows her friendships may not last forever, she'll never regret making them because Tomoe taught her to never doubt herself.

Crocoduel: Tales of You Two Again?!

  • Juleka reveals that every year, she and Luka receive gifts centered around their interests, which they long already figured out are from their dad. It really shows how much Jagged cares about making his kids happy, even if Anarka limits his contact with them and he can't tell them he's their dad.
  • Jagged says that he simply had to get the perfect gifts for Luka and Juleka when he got an official invitation to their birthday party before giving his daughter his very first bass guitar. Juleka is overjoyed, and her blushing thanks go straight to her father's heart. The author comments, "Juleka's about to get so spoiled."
  • Marigold tells Juleka that she can be a heroine, even when the latter expresses doubt.
  • Roarr encouraging Juleka to become Purple Tigress and give her all.
  • When the plan requires Purple Tigress to hold off Captain Hardrock and Guitar Villain, she feels unsure she can do it. Viperion (who has guessed Purple Tigress is his sister Juleka) uses Second Chance and tells Purple Tigress she'll have as many chances as she needs, but he's certain she'll only need one. Given that she's similarly guessed Viperion is her older brother, it's obvious why she's smiling.
  • Though Marigold starts internally panicking when she learns that Viperion and Purple Tigress have figured out each other's Secret Identities, she doesn't blame either of them for not being more careful.
  • The reveal that Jagged always wanted to be a father to his kids and that neither he nor Anarka wanted to break things off and only did so because of Bob Roth's manipulations is equal parts this and Tear Jerker.
  • Anarka and Jagged bury the hatchet after learning the truth. While they'll never get back together, they can become Amicable Exes.
  • Luka and Juleka hugs their father for the first time ever and tell him they love him.

Robostus: Tales of Markov the Robot

  • Marinette's friends praise her when she saves herself from tripping with an impressive flip.
  • Most of Max's classmates agree with how impressive Markov is and ask the teachers to let the robot stay in class.
  • Max plans to make a camera powerful enough to let Markov see Kwamis like Kaalki. Kaalki, for her part, says she's looking forward to it.
  • Gabriel gently cradles an exhausted Nooroo after the missile debacle despite being on the verge of collapsing himself.
  • Mlle. Mendeleiev admits that she was wrong about Markov and that robots can experience emotions. She will let Markov attend class, but she expects him to behave, like she does with the other students.

Prime Queen: Tales of Nadja the Reporter

  • Compared to canon, Marinette trusts Lila to babysit Manon (and Lila agrees so that she can get some cash to get Mme. Bustier a gift).
  • Chat Noir apparently has quite a few nicknames for Marigold, among them "Queen Bee."
  • Ella and Etta's question for the heroes? When are they bringing back Koki Marina, whom they both really liked? That, plus Marigold confirming she was a great hero, leaves Alya a blushing mess.
  • When Prime Queen demands a Love Confession, Marigold complies... with a real one.
Marigold: [blushing] Fine, Prime Queen. I confess. I am in love with Chat Noir.
Prime Queen: Oooo, saving their fan by admitting their true feelings. The news is going crazy!
Chat Noir: [whispers] Good thinking with that lie, Goldie!
Marigold: ... Superheroes don't lie, Chaton.
Chat Noir: [startles and blushes] !
  • Later on, Chat Noir attempts to let Marigold down as gently as he can... and confesses that he's in love with Marinette. Naturally, Marigold has zero problems with that.
  • After the cure is cast, Alya calls Lila to check up on her, and the two bond over their shared dislike of Scarlet Lady. This hints that Alya no longer bears a grudge against Lila, and that both girls have found common ground with each other.

    Season 5
Zombizou: Tales of Caline the Teacher
  • When Marinette asks Pollen whether she should try to find out Chat Noir's identity, the Kwami continues to display her Undying Loyalty to her holder, declaring that Marinette should just do whatever she thinks is best and implying that Marinette should trust herself.
  • When Scarlet Lady suggests just giving Marinette up to the zombies, everyone tells her off or says she'll have to go through them, with Chat snarling that if she tries, he'll throw her to the zombies himself.
  • Juleka throws a mean right hook at a zombie that grabbed Rose. She's been practicing... for no particular reason.
  • When Alya gets kissed by the zombies, she uses her last moments to tell Marinette to escape and to warn Chat Noir to take care of her best friend. Nino also decides to stay behind with Alya: if he's going to get kissed by someone, it might as well be his girlfriend.
  • After Marinette breaks down crying over all of her friends falling to Zombizou, Chat Noir gently reassures her that they protected her because they love her, and that that's why he's going to protect her, too.
    • After he ends up getting kissed because he was protecting her, Chat Noir reassures her again, indirectly implies he knows she's Marigold, and tells her that that he trusts her and that she should trust herself...
    • Also, if you look behind Chat Noir, you can see he's holding off all the other zombies.
  • When Marinette returns to class, she begins to apologize for causing Mme. Bustier to turn into an akuma in the first place. The others, however, don't even let her finish before telling her that her finally telling the teacher off was awesome and that no one blames her for losing her patience with Mme. Bustier. Someone even states that they would jump in front of a hundred akumas for Marinette.

The Mime: Tales of Fred the Performer

  • Pollen helps Marinette water the plants with her own Kwami-sized watering can.
  • Alya shows Marinette a video where a family thanks Marigold and Chat Noir (presumably for saving them from an akuma). People are clearly starting to realize the two of them are Paris's real heroes.
  • When Marinette has a breakdown after Mylène calls her out on stealing Alya's phone due to her insecurities and trauma getting the better of her, Mylène becomes sympathetic, taking her by the hands and comforting her by offering her solutions.
  • Despite being akumatized, Fred won't harm Mylène. When she expresses distress over what happened to him, even though he can't talk, he tries comforting her by patting her on the head.
  • Even though akumas scare her, Mylène still considers helping her dad to be more important, so Marigold decides to give her the ability to do so with the Dog Miraculous.
  • Doubles as a Funny moment; when Ultimutt challenges Mime to a "Mime Off," he actually humors her and even seems to enjoy it.
  • Alya is surprised by how forgiving Fred is to Chris, but Ultimutt just smiles expectingly, knowing that's the kind of person her father is.
  • When Marigold challenges Chat Noir to see who finds out the other's Secret Identity faster, Chat Noir takes it with a grin. Given that they already heavily suspect whom the other is, it sounds more like flirting.
  • Mylène and Barkk spend a good amount of time nuzzling and telling the other she's a good dog after Mylène detransforms.
  • While at the show, Mylène suggests getting all the girls together so they can go to the waterpark, which Marinette agrees to.
  • When Adrien shows up, he compliments the three girls, saying they all look great.
  • Marinette confesses to Alya that she accidentally erased the video. Alya replies that the video was already saved in the cloud and gently chides her for not telling her sooner, which she would have saved herself a lot of worry.
  • As a surprise for Alya, Marinette "arranges" for her to interview Marigold, finally giving her best friend the superhero interview she has wanted for five seasons.

Gorizilla: Tales of ____ the Bodyguard

  • When Marinette crashes into Adrien as he tries to escape his fans, she quickly helps hide him and stays with him. Then, when he says that there's something he needs to do that day, she immediately states that she'll help him, whatever it is he has to do.
  • Adrien apologizes to Marinette because "everyone thinks [she's his] girlfriend," but a caption tags him as "secretly pleased." A little later, Marinette is tagged with an arrow striking her heart when Adrien shows her that he still has the lucky charm she gave him in "The Gamer" while she shows she still has the lucky charm he gifted her in "La Befana". The author notes that Adrien is "Speaking her love language: taking care of her handmade gifts."
  • What did Adrien want to do? Go watch a screening of Solitude, the movie in which his mother Emilie was the lead actress.
  • Marinette becomes furious on Adrien's behalf when she learns that Gabriel won't even let him have their DVD copy of Solitude and heavily restricts Adrien's ability to go to the movies at all.
  • When Marigold forces Gorizilla's hand open, she tells Adrien to jump.
Marigold: You have to trust me!
    Adrien: Always.
  • Wayhem apologizes for causing Adrien so much trouble by not respecting his privacy. Adrien accepts and even gives Wayhem out his email, though he does make clear that he doesn't want it shared with anyone.
  • Adrien's bodyguard returns Adrien and Marinette's lucky charms. Even as he was being mobbed by Adrien's fans, he made sure to grab and hold onto the charms.
  • In the end, the bodyguard is persuaded to let Adrien watch the movie with his friends and fans, with Marinette sitting beside Adrien (and Chloé far away from them). The bodyguard sobs at the sad scenes in the movie.

Sandboy: Tales of ____ the Sleepwalker

  • A backstory is given for the pillow that contains Sandboy's akuma: Rose gifted it to him after he was discharged from the hospital, and she specially designed it to help him sleep at night.
  • Marinette makes gifts for all the Kwamis.
  • Seeing Nightmare!Chat Noir bullying Marinette spurs Rose into action, and she fiercely attacks him while declaring that Marinette is "the sweetest person ever."
  • Pigella stops Sandboy by reminding him of the party thrown for him when he was discharged from the hospital and how happy he was from receiving Rose's gift. This prompts him to destroy his own akumatized object because he doesn't want to be scared any more.
  • Though it's Played for Laughs, Pollen entering Heroic BSoD at the mere thought of scolding her queen shows just how much she trusts and looks up to Marinette.
  • Plagg thanks Adrien for the freedom he gives him and calls him the best Black Cat he's ever had. They even hug each other!

Reverser: Tales of Marc the Writer

  • Nathaniel has had one person on his mind ever since Chloé's party in "Despair Bear": the person he danced with, whom he has been trying to find without success. Meanwhile, Marc stares fondly at a photo of one of Nathaniel's sketches.
  • Marinette, knowing about Marc's writing skills, invites them to come to the art room. When she presents Marc to the art teacher, Nathaniel recognizes them and states he's been looking all over for them, much to Marc's shock. Marc then declares their admiration of Nathaniel's drawing skills, which Nathaniel thanks them for. Ship Tease galore in only two strips.
  • Marinette gives Marc's book to Nathaniel, telling her classmate she just needs some feedback. Nathaniel is enthusiastically inspired by it, and when Marinette tells him about the author, he's completely onboard with meeting them—particularly since he already knows it's Marc.
  • Reverser tells Nathaniel that they don't plan to target him.
  • When Marc and Nathaniel publish the first issue of their new comic, they dedicate it to Marinette, the person who arranged for them to meet each other.

Party Crasher: Tales of Wayhem the Fun Guy

  • It's minor, but Adrien's friends don't even question letting his "Chinese teacher" (actually Fu) join in on their hang out.
  • Fu reassures Ivan that it's okay to stand up for himself and that a true friend wouldn't be upset with him for speaking his mind.
  • While pointing out to Kim that he should have thought better than to think the girls wouldn't find about the party, Marinette tells Adrien the girls aren't blaming him.
  • After Ivan calls Kim out for not stopping things sooner, Kim asks if the other guys weren't having fun. Adrien starts a Group Hug with all his classmates, saying that of course he was having fun—he was with his friends!
  • When Ivan returns the Ox Miraculous to Marigold, Stompp tells him that he knows Ivan will only grow to be a better hero and makes it clear he wants to be there with him when the time comes.
Marigold: [crying] Stop being so wholesome when I have to take you back!

Frozer: Tales of Philippe the Ice Skater

  • Chat Noir is told by his partner that she was originally meant to have the Ladybug Miraculous, only for it to get stolen... and isn't the least bit surprised by it. He notes that it makes a lot more sense that Marigold was the intended bearer, given the kind of person she is.
  • Chat Noir promises to ask Marigold on a date on their civilian identities, and while both are nervous they might be wrong about who the other is in their civilian life, they both end up asking each other out as the class cheers them on.
  • Doubles as Funny, but Adrien (and Marinette offscreen) go to other couples for advice so they won't mess up their first date. None of it is useful since it mainly involves akuma attacks, but the fact their friends were willing to help counts. There's also the heartwarming Irony in that Hawkmoth's actions inadvertently played a part in the happiness of several young people, most of whom are his son's classmates/friends.
  • When he learns that Adrien is nervous over his upcoming first date with Marinette, Luka, instead of being jealous, offers Adrien genuine advice and help on what to do.
  • Ondine happily suggests a place Marinette and Adrien can go for their date.
  • Adrien and Marinette hold each other while they skate.
  • As forceful as Philippe is over trying to get a new student to save his skating rink, when Rose says that she can't due to having a medical condition, he's completely understanding. He's also genuinely remorseful when he realizes he pushed Marinette too roughly in his zeal to convince Adrien to become his student.
  • When Adrien checks on Marinette after Philippe pushed her to the ground, he apologizes for the lousy date, but Marinette tells him it's not lousy—she always has lots of fun when she's with him, and their first date is going perfectly as far as she's concerned. They even have a Headbutt of Love!
  • Chat Noir calling Marigold "Ma Princesse" makes her blush and become shocked. So far, Chat Noir has only used the nickname "Princess" for Marinette.
  • Though Philippe accidentally injured Marinette earlier, Adrien doesn't bear any hard feelings and even helps save the ice rink by taking a selfie with Philippe and posting about how much fun he had there with his friends.
  • At the end of the episode, Adrien and Marinette declare their love for each other, smiling and embracing.

Frightningale: Tales of Clara the Pop Star

  • The episode opens with Marinette and Adrien being madly in love with each other, gushing to their respective Kwami partner about the other.
    • Literally the first panel helps ease the fans' worries that Marinette was only into Adrien because he might be Chat Noir by revealing she had her canon crush on him from the beginning.
    • Similarly, Adrien gives Plagg a Death Glare when the latter suggests the former was only into Marigold because she might be Marinette, clearly not at all pleased at the idea of his feelings for his "beloved partner" being questioned over something so superficial.
  • When in line to audition as extras for the music video, Alya is surprised that Lila isn't trying out for Marigold, which Sabrina agrees with, pointing out she has poise and some improv skills along with her good looks.note . Lila tells Sabrina that she's pretty, too, and has actual qualities found in a hero, especially compared to "Scarlet Brat," and notes it's more fun to be together! Sabrina blushes and agrees.
Caption: She's still getting used to the idea Friendship is Reciprocal
    • Their friends tease Lila about this and how she loves them. Lila denies this, stating that they're all insufferable in the most Tsundere way possible.
    • Marinette finds Kagami and is surprised to see the latter there as it didn't seem like her thing. Kagami reveals that Aurore invited her (heartwarming itself since it means they stayed in contact), and her reason for accepting is adorably blunt but simple: she's cute. Aurore is practically bursting with joy at this.
  • Among the people trying out for the Marigold role is a little girl carrying a black cat. Adrien smiles at the cuteness.
  • Clara comes out to bring some snacks for the people waiting to audition.
  • When the singer trips, Marinette quickly moves to help her. Clara declares that for her act of kindness, she has to play Marigold in the video.
  • As uncomfortable as Marinette is about playing Marigold due to the risk it poses to her Secret Identity, she ultimately agrees so that her friends can all be extras. Said friends don't realize that they're putting Marinette in a difficult place, but they nevertheless thank her for getting them parts in the music video and put her in the center of a huge Group Hug.
  • Lila is shown to be genuinely furious about how Scarlet Lady was willing to let Alya drown, demonstrating how much she cares for her friend especially, even though Alya spent the vast majority of the story angry at Lila for lying on her blog.
    • Also worth noting is that Lila doesn't bring up the time that the Ladybug heroine dumped her in a fountain and left her vulnerable to akumatization, despite the fact that this would easily contribute to why Scarlet Lady is not a hero. Instead, Lila prioritizes the times that people were put in actual danger by Scar's inaction.
    • Word of God confirms that Lila helped Alya compile her list of Scarlet Lady's unheroic moments, further showing the two have put their past grudge behind them.
    • This actually prompts Alya, Kagami, and even some random civilian to deny Scarlet Lady as anything other than a Fake Ultimate Hero. The civilian in particular is important since it proves that the people of the city finally know who the real heroes are and aren't taking crap from liars like Scarlet Lady anymore.
  • The theme of Clara's music video is about love and hope, with it dedicated to Chat Noir and Marigold. In other words, they're not only now regarded as the true heroes of Paris but have become straight up regarded as the city's Hope Bringers.
  • When Frightningale attacks, Lila and Sabrina save Adrien and Marinette, respectively, from being hit before going off to find the rest of their friends, telling the two to stay hidden.
    • Sabrina, who was Chloé's Beta Bitch for years and took part in bullying Marinette, doesn't hesitate to save her because the latter is her genuine friend as opposed to the kind of "friend" Chloé was. Marinette, for her part, seems more surprised at suddenly being saved than by the fact that it was Sabrina who saved her.
    • Adrien is surprised that Lila saved him and probably more so when she states that she knows they don't like each other but still doesn't want him to get hurt. The look on his face as she leaves to find the others seems to be him having a Jerkass Realization about how he's been treating her and that she's not the liar she was when they first met.
  • Alya saves Master Fu from the akuma's attack, but unlike with the example above, Alya doesn't know Fu or his importance as the Guardian of the Miraculous. He's just a random old man whom she decided to protect.
    • After being hit, Alya uses her rhyming improv skills to shake off the curse and decides she'll be a Human Shield to protect other civilians since further hits won't harm her.
    • Fu motions to Wayzz and tells him that Alya's plan to be a shield would work better "with a suit," clearly impressed by the young girl's natural heroism. The fact he's sending Wayzz, his own Kwami for decades, comes about like an old master Passing the Torch to a worthy successor.
  • When the Kwamis fly off to find the temporary heroines, they are happy to meet their wielders again, ready to join forces once more.
  • When Koki Marina asks the other temporary heroines if they know of Kitty Section, they are all full of praise for the band, particularly the ones they are in love with.
  • Lila has enough humility to admit that her purposely riling up Chloé didn't help things and likely contributed to Clara Nightingale's akumatization.
  • Chat Noir and Marigold decide to recognize Lila and Sabrina's heroism by choosing them as the wielders of the Rooster and Mouse Miraculous, respectively. Sabrina's reaction, in particular, is a cheerfully happy "YES!"
    • There's also the fact that Marinette is presenting the Mouse Miraculous to Sabrina, her Bully Turned Buddy, while Adrien presents the Rooster to Lila, whom he's held the longest grudge against out of everyone in their social circle.
    • Lila feels she's being insulted due to being offered the Rooster Miraculous of Pretension, but she still accepts it to become a heroine and help stop the akuma.
  • The heroes (Chat Noir, Marigold, and the temporary heroines) share a "Bien Joué!" Fist Bump after winning.
  • Clara is utterly ecstatic when she realizes that all the heroes saved her and even more so when Pigella helps her come up with a new idea for her music video.
  • Much like past users have, Lila really hits it off with her Kwami and asks Orikko about the limits of the Kwami's Sublimation power (mainly over how she could replace Scarlet Lady, but the point still stands). Even then, the point is that Lila would be willing to be a hero full-time and has already proven to be more of a hero than Scarlet (which isn't say much but is nonetheless true).
  • When Sabrina returns her Miraculous, she says it was great to be Marigold's sidekick. Marigold corrects her—she was a hero and a partner.

Intermission 3

  • Chat Noir suggests pairing up the temporary heroes and sending them on patrol so they can gain some experience while getting to know each other better.
  • It seems the Chat Noir and Marigold were understanding enough to allow Juleka and Luka to directly come clean to each other about their Secret Identities: Chat Noir approaches the twins at the same time to hand out their Miraculous.
  • The different pairs really hit it off (of course, they are all acquainted as civilians, not that they know).
    • Koki Marina gushes about Nino's music, and she and Foxtrot tell each other they are the coolest... after their significant others, of course.
    • Viperion praises Ryuuko's drawing skills and asks if he can practice his Japanese with her for a friend of his.
    • Pegasus and King Monkey cheer when they meet, remembering each other from "Party Crasher". The latter also praises Max's skills when the former mentions his project to create a camera that can see Kwami.
    • Pigella and Purple Tigress eagerly gush about each other, with the latter feeling that the former hugging her feels familiar.
    • Minotaurox and Ultimutt initially feel awkward around each other but soon bond as they ponder what their Miraculous weapons can do.
    • Comousiner and Fenice have fun pretending they don't know each other.
    • Caprikid ends up alone for this first rotation... so Bunnyx visits from the canon timeline to keep the local version of her friend company. She also confirms things are going well there (as nobody has any idea who she is).
  • King Monkey declares that Xuppu is the worst... and he loves him for that!

Malediktator: Tales of André the Mayor

  • As twisted as it is, seeing Chloé happily take Zoé under her wing upon learning that the latter doesn't know who Marigold is can make one smile since it's one of Chloé's rare Pet the Dog moments. She also seems to genuinely appreciate Zoé comparing her to their mother, whom Chloé idolizes (even though Zoé implicitly didn't mean it as a compliment).
  • When asked by Alya who his favorite hero is, Adrien says that he likes Fox Trot quite a bit, leaving Nino very pleased.
  • When everyone is unsure about Zoé due to her being Chloé's sister, Nino points out that they should give her a chance. After all, Adrien and Chloé were Childhood Friends, and he turned out to be really cool.
  • Alix seems to notice that Zoé's mean personality is just a façade, despite the latter having just insulted her presentation.
  • André Bourgeois treats his stepdaughter Zoé as if she were his own. Despite him being heartbroken at the thought of Chloé and Audrey leaving Paris, rather than attempt to placate his daughter by offering to send Zoé back to America, he tries to get the two sisters to reconcile instead. Then, when creating his "one big happy family" as Malediktator, he intends to make Zoé part of it, too. The episode also ends with him showing Zoé to her new room and telling her how much she's going to love it.
  • While also a Tear Jerker, Zoé tries to defend her sister over the school celebrating Chloé's departure; instead of ignoring her or putting her down, Marinette and Adrien take the time to explain to the new girl why her sister is Hated by All. The reason this is heartwarming comes from the fact that it acknowledges that Chloé actively chose to be as cruel as possible and ignored any attempt to call her out on this. Given the first impression she gave, it would've been so easy to just write Zoé off as being as bad as her sister and call it a day. Marinette and Adrien choose instead to give her the chance to make herself a better person.
  • When Malediktator declares his attention to make Zoé part of his "one big happy family," Zoe confronts her stepfather... and immediately offers to go with him willingly if André stops terrorizing Paris. Whether she took what Marinette and Adrien said before to heart or if, like in canon, her Alpha Bitch personality is just a mask she's forced to wear, it speaks volumes the difference between her and Chloé.
  • Marigold saves Zoé and tells her it's not her fault for failing to reason with her akumatized stepfather: brainwashed akumas are almost never satisfied and often just move the goalposts.
  • Though he had been ordered to seize the heroes' Miraculous, Malediktator decides to let Chat Noir (who's been brainwashed to act like a real cat) remain transformed for a bit longer for his wife's sake when Audrey asks if they can keep Chat Noir as a pet.
Audrey: Please, Malediktatorkins, can't we keep him just a little longer?
Malediktator: [sighing] Well, if it makes you happy.
  • After Marigold defeats Malediktator, Chat Noir apologizes for not being all that helpful. Marigold assures him that he was actually vital to the victory.

Style Queen: Tales of Audrey the Fashion Critic

  • Word of God reveals that Marinette made the outfits most of her friends wore to the red carpet (Aurore, Mireille, and Kagami had their own hookups or already had dresses).
  • When Marinette starts spiraling about how horrible her hat is and that it will lead to Adrien and everyone else hating her, Pollen gives her Queen a pep talk, and tells her to have more confidence in herself. Marinette praises Pollen for having grown so wise, and the Kwami credits her Queen for teaching her when to be proactive and when to hold back.
  • Zoé tricks her mother into accepting Chloé's gift, as well as Chloé's happiness when Audrey accepts it.
  • When Marinette starts to feel down over how she thinks Audrey Bourgeois hated the hat she made, Adrien cheers her up by both complimenting her beauty and reminding her his father picked her hat for a reason. They even start flirting.
  • Zoé convinces Style Queen to not harm Adrien or Chloé since they aren't her true targets and then agrees to help Marigold in order to save her sister. Later, Zoé asks her mother if she's seen where Chloé is and admonishes the latter when she returns because she was scared when Chloé suddenly disappeared.
  • Word of God confirms that Style Queen genuinely felt bad about making Zoé cry when the latter shed a Single Tear while begging the akuma to not hurt Adrien or Chloé. This doesn't stop her from continuing to mistreat Zoé, however.
  • When Marigold rescues Adrien, the latter compliments her looks.
  • Marigold offers to take Adrien to the show, and he accepts it, with both of them swinging away with a smile. As the two of them arrive to the show, Marigold and Adrien finally confirm their Secret Identities to each other and end the episode with a Big Damn Kiss.

Queen Wasp: Tales of Chloé the Ex-Hero

  • When Plagg demonstrates how Kwamis can't say the names of Miraculous wielders and ends up burping up some green bubbles, Marinette takes a handkerchief and wipes the little Cat Kwami's mouth.
  • There's also Pollen greeting Adrien after Marinette de-transforms, especially since it's the first time the two are interacting. The Kwami even gently pokes at Adrien's face after the latter enters a Heroic BSoD to check if the teen is okay.
  • Nadja Charmack reports the fashion show is back on thanks to Marigold's efforts while showing a photo of the Bee heroine and Adrien having fun as they swing down from the Eiffel Tower.
  • Marinette watches Adrien modeling with little hearts floating above her.
  • When Alya is doing her report on Adrien's catwalk, she specifically points out the bowler hat he's wearing was designed by her BFF Marinette, making sure her friend gets credit where credit is due. It becomes Fridge Heartwarming considering all the way back in "The Bubbler," Nathalie took Marinette's birthday present for Adrien and claimed it was from his father to hide the fact Gabriel once again forgot to get his son something. Given that Marinette's work is good enough that Clara initially mistook a dress Ondine was wearing as being by Gabriel, Alya is making sure her friend doesn't lose the recognition she rightfully deserves.
  • We finally get to hear Audrey's opinion of Marinette's hat and contribution to the fashion show: it's exceptional! We are thus treated to the first genuine smile Audrey has shown since her introduction, which has featured her doing nothing but berate others. She even tells Marinette that she's a visionary for using feathers in her design and claims it as "the trend of tomorrow."
    • Doubles as a moment of Awesome for Marinette, a 15-year-old girl, once it sinks in who we're talking about: Audrey Bourgeois—a woman shown to have near impossible standards and a notorious reputation as the harshest design critic in the business who can make or break a career—is left impressed enough for Marinette to earn praise.
    • Marinette had earlier called Audrey "Chloé times 1000" and spent the whole time before the fashion show having a panic spiral of low self-esteem, thinking herself a talentless hack and that everyone would hate her design. In this moment, Audrey not only tells her the opposite but proves that, for all her faults as a parent and a person, she is at least better than Chloé in one aspect: acknowledging talent when she sees it.
  • Marinette's loved ones congratulate her for earning Audrey's praise and support Marinette leaving for New York to work for Audrey.
    • Despite it apparently causing him physical pain, Adrien is supportive of Marinette going to New York to pursue Audrey's offer, even saying he could model the clothes she designs.
    • Tom and Sabine also promise to be with their daughter no matter what she decides, even if it means relocating to another country. Tom is later shown making suggestions of moving everyone to New York and opening a bakery there so they can better support Marinette's dream.
  • Audrey's knowledge of Chloé's screw-ups is this in a sense since it's Audrey Bourgeois showing that although she's not an active presence in her daughter's life, she at least is involved enough to not be Locked Out of the Loop and still recalls some of what her daughter's been up to despite having a busy schedule as a world-famous fashion critic.
  • Chloé turning to Zoé as her last ally in the entire city:
    • She even calls her half-sister "Zoékins," using the affectionate diminutive she used to give to Adrien.
    • Word of God explains that Chloé really did want a relationship with Zoé (largely because she figures Zoé will always be on her side, no matter what, but still).
  • When it's time for someone to use the Ladybug Miraculous, everyone encourages Marigold to wield it, telling her that she's the real hero and deserves it.
  • It's taken the better part of 51 episodes, but Tikki is finally free of her abusive holder's clutches and finally gets to partner with Marinette.
  • Zoé calls her mother out for how her indifferent (at best) attitude led to Chloé ruining her life and decides to stay in Paris so she can try to support her half-sister. What's more, after declaring that she does love her daughters, Audrey actually seems to take Zoé's criticism of her to heart and chooses to stay in Paris as well.
  • Fu tells Marinette that she has to return the Bee Comb if she's to become the new Ladybug Miraculous wielder, stating she has no need to wield the power of the comb and earrings. Marinette replies that she doesn't care about power—she cares about Pollen, and she doesn't want to be apart from her first Kwami friend!

Catalyst: Tales of Nathalie the Assistant

  • Plagg makes a Kwagatama for Adrien, showing how much closer their relationship is compared to that point in canon. Pollen also makes one for Marinette, with Tikki noting that it is very rare for Pollen to give one out (Word of God explains that this is because Pollen tends to think of her holders as her master rather than a friend, and Marinette was the first one to genuinely work to become her friend), and supplemental material shows that Marinette fashioned both Kwagatamas into a bracelet.
  • Zoé is still trying to make up with her sister, no matter how much Chloé rejects her attempts. She also wears Scarlet Lady clothes for Heroes' Day.
  • At breakfast, Audrey can be seen reading a parenting book on how to help teens with mental health issues, showing she really is committed to helping Chloé overcome this difficult period.
  • André does his best to comfort Zoé over Chloé and Audrey, telling his stepdaughter that her mother must have brought Zoé with her to Paris for a reason.
  • Adrien and Marinette's deep love for each other is shown as they hug each other at the school gates.
  • Nino and Alya's picks for Heroes' Day's clothes? Each other's heroic identities. Moreover, unlike Adrien and Marinette, they don't know about each other's Secret Identities—they picked their outfits out on their own.
  • As misguided as her beliefs are, it's sweet to see Mme. Bustier worried about Chloé and understanding of why her student doesn't feel like attending school. She's also the only person in all of Paris, aside from Zoé, who dresses up in honor of Scarlet Lady.
  • When Bustier suggests that Zoé organize a party to thank Chloé for her work as Scarlet Lady and invite the class, Zoé states she won't—because she knows Chloé's bullied the entire class and doesn't want to force them to reconcile with Chloé when the latter isn't even sorry for what she did. This reduces the whole class—who is eavesdropping on the conversation—to tears.
    • And during Zoé's explanation, she even explicitly states she won't leave Chloé despite disagreeing with Bustier. Just because she knows Chloé is a bully and is willing to stand up for her victims doesn't mean that Zoé doesn't love her. It's actually really sweet.
  • When he sees Marinette unhappy that her intended good deed feels less than what the others are planning to do, Adrien gives her a kiss on the top of the head and promises to take care of it.
  • Lila's good deed is genuinely heartwarming as unlike canon, she isn't just spouting grandiose lies to make herself look good. This means that she actually intends to back up her words/promises.
  • As opposed to the show, where it's implied that Lila had somehow manipulated three different women into thinking she's their daughter, here the three women are her biological mother, her step-mother and her mother's best friend (whom she calls "mère" even though they aren't related). The three woman, Lila, and Lila's father meet for lunch without a problem, and it's obvious they're all happy being together.
  • When Marinette tells her parents that she feels she's not doing enough for Heroes' Day, Sabine gently chides her, telling her daughter that good deeds aren't just grand gestures, they can be small things to spread kindness and help others.
  • Mme. Bustier and M. Damocles are seen forcing the red Akumas away from the students. Regardless of their faults, they are willingly risking themselves to keep their charges from being affected.
  • Ladybug gives the Bee Miraculous to Zoé, but she feels like a fraud due to the role she played in Chloé's Akumatization. Ladybug reminds her that she rescued Chloé from Style Queen, stood up to Malediktator, and protected the Earrings from Hawkmoth.
Ladybug: I know who you are: a good person.
    Zoé: I...
Pollen: You want to atone? Then save Paris! My Queen believes in you!
Zoé: You're... you're right! Okay! Pollen! Buzz On!
  • Chat Noir brings the Fox and Turtle Miraculouses to Nino and Alya, who are shocked to learn of each other's Secret Identity.
    Nino: Wait, you're—! Koki—!
Alya: So you're Fox Trot. Makes my crush way less concerning.
Nino: Crush? Why aren't you surprised?! I'm blown away! Did you know?
Alya: Nay, but, it just makes sense. Shell On! (transforms into Koki Marina) You comforted me, even as Fox Trot, like the sweet heart you are. Of course you'd be a super hero.
    Nino: (blushing) Aw, babe.

Hawkmoth: Tales of Gabriel the Butterfly

  • It's the heroes' Darkest Hour. All of their allies have been Akumatized by Scarlet Moth, as has pretty much everyone else they could ask for support. It's only Ladybug and Chat Noir against the world. But Chat Noir doesn't give up that easily.
    Marinette: Can we do this?
Adrien: Of course! We can't lose hope!
Marinette: But, we lost our team.
Adrien: So we do what works. You and me against the world, My Lady.
  • Chat Noir and Ladybug manage to free M. Cesaire and Ondine, and Ladybug uses this to purify hundreds of butterflies across the city.
Ladybug: Don't miss this, Hawkmoth! I'll show everyone, the heroes are here to stay!
(cut to random Parisians seeing the Akuma butterflies suddenly being purified)
    Parisian: They're back!
    Parisian: HOORAY!
  • Juleka and Ali pull Rose out of akumatization by simultaneously kissing her cheeks. Rose is very blushy when she comes out of the transformation.
  • Lila and Sabrina prove that The Power of Friendship is just as useful as The Power of Love in helping pull people out of akumatization, as they do with Alix by hugging her and apologizing for not supporting her as much as she did them, especially when they assumed she'd be fine when the red akumas came.
  • Mylène frees Ivan by giving him a kiss in his Akumatized form, just like she did in "Origins Part 2".
  • When Scarlet Moth tries to make Dark Cupid put everyone back under control, Ondine shows up.
    Dark Cupid: Ondine... you're OK!
Ondine: Yes! I'm sorry Kim, I scared you so bad—
Dark Cupid: No! (begins to tear up) I wasn't there for you! I couldn't protect you! I'm so sorry!
Ondine: (also crying) It's okay now, right? You did nothing wrong. So, can you go back to being my boyfriend, please?
    (The purified butterfly flies away)
Kim: Yeah... I don't want to help Hawkmoth anymore.
  • When Glaciator threatens Max's mother, the Gamer immediately turns on him and shoots him, before coming down from his mech to check on his mother, who hugs him and frees him from Hawkmoth's influence.
  • Even after everything she did, Ladybug still tries to convince Queen Wasp to stand against Hawkmoth and prove that she can be a real hero. Considering that Marinette knows about everything Chloe did both in and out of the mask, the fact that she's still willing to give her a chance speaks volumes.
  • The Queen Wasp Sentimonster, upon her amok being taken from Hawkmoth, becomes friendly with the heroes and gives Ladybug a hug.
  • When Blue Blood starts coughing blood and collapses, the last thing she sees before she does is the heroes' horrified reaction to her being violently sick, including Vesperia running to try to catch her.
    • On the next page, Ladybug tells Vesperia to take Chloé to a hospital, giving her a space power-up so she can get there faster. Vesperia thinks to herself that she'll never forgive Hawkmoth for putting her sister's life at risk.
  • Adrien may not be friends with Chloé anymore, but he is completely pissed at Hawkmoth over what happened to her. As the other heroes, having been given their Miraculous by Master Fu, show up to fight Hawkmoth, Chat Noir says "Where the fuck do you think you're going?!", getting the only uncensored Precision F-Strike in the comic to emphasise his anger at someone who put the life of a teenager in serious danger.
