Season 1

  • Aniq places his phone in the recording room and calls Yasper so the two of them can spy on the interrogations. Then, Yasper's phone dies in the middle of a call, but Culp gives them his charger. Then we see Aniq and Yasper listening in again. However, wouldn't the phone dying have canceled the call? So how would they be able to listen again? Did Aniq have to go back in and call Yasper again, and if so, wouldn't that have been suspicious?
  • Why didn't Yasper just silence Xavier's phone? If the murder wasn't pre-meditated, that would be one thing, but we know that Yasper planned this and took several steps to cover his tracks. If Xavier's phone hadn't rung, then Danner's demonstration wouldn't have worked and he could have denied her the chance to search him.

Season 2

  • What was Ulysses' plan if his murder had gone as he intended? Was he hoping to convince Vivian to get back together with him and shore up his alibi? Did he have a person in mind to take the blame instead of him? Considering he killed the wrong person, he seems surprisingly at ease during the investigation and doesn't attempt to murder Feng again (or even cover his tracks). Which would maybe make sense given his detached, spiritual personality, except he still lies and later tries to deflect blame when he's accused. Compare this to Yasper, who meticulously planned his intended murder and took multiple steps to discredit the police and shift the blame onto other people.
  • A very minor point, but: at one point during one of the flashbacks' (I think Travis'), he is shown wearing gloves. But in the present day, Zoe has to tell Travis where the ski gloves are, implying he does not have his own. Did he (or somebody else) just imagine him with gloves to make him look cool?
