Where are the Other Dora Characters?
  • In the grounded videos involving Dora, why is it that Dora herself, her parents and (occasionally) her grandmother are the only characters from the show to regularly appear? A good portion of Caillou's cast tend to appear in grounded videos with him as the star, so why don't the videos with Dora even contain characters like Boots and Swiper?
    • Well, because they would be too difficult to put into the videos. Some users use stock photos, such as when Barney got grounded on his birthday.
    • There are certainly a number of reasons for this. Probably the two biggest factors are:
      • Graphical limitations: While Lil' Peepz do have animal-styled ears and such, there's no active animal selections to be used. If anything, it would either be A) stick figures, like what is done with either Barney or Sesame Street characters or B) coloring a human to make them look like said character, which is also done with Barney. Obviously, that's too much work.
      • The fear of being pinned as a "baby show lover". Remember, many GoAnimate users who do punishment videos are usually tweenies, going to about 14-15 at the very most. They'll do the very minimum of research just to do the videos. In Dora's case, she has a mom, a dad, and a grandma who all speak Spanish. There's no need to include Boots or Swiper because they're not needed to deal out the punishments or get her into trouble even if they generally do in canon.
    • Also, Caillou's supporting cast all being human makes it significantly easier to recreate them if.

    Nappy Days

    Violence and Vitriol Solve Everything
  • Why does violence (Both of the physical and verbal kind) have to solve everything in GoAnimate city?
    • Perhaps it's because the children who make these videos don't fully understand the consequences of violence.

    Professional Pranksters
  • Even with GoAnimate logic in effect, it just cannot wrap anyone's head around why, in "(Character) Gets a Job" videos like this one, someone would get a job for the sole purpose of trying to trick would-be customers into thinking that the specific item they're looking for is out-of-stock/discontinued. Who in their right mind would actually do this? Even among grounded videos it makes no sense whatsoever.

    Cheating or Not?
  • In this video , why is it that when Boots is on Gordon's track, it's considered cheating, but when the Thomas trains block Azul's track, it's considered fair?

    Grounded by the Author
  • If a troublemaker gets in trouble, how come the Author Avatar can ground them? They aren't even parental figures.
    • Because most GoAnimate users just want to feel the power trip of getting at people they hate, and some just want themselves in the video to do it.
    • Also, in some videos, Rosie gets to ground and/or reprimand Caillou. This doesn't make sense, she's younger than him.

    Holding the Logic Back
  • The “Gets Held Back” videos. Why are they called that, when getting held back entails a student staying in the same grade until they get good enough to finally move up to the next grade? Plus, why would not having done homework be a reason for demoting the troublemaker(s) to a lower grade? It doesn’t make sense.
    • 1. There is no (known) term for going back a grade.
    • 2. In the world of GoAnimate, basically even the smallest mistakes have huge consequences.
    • There was a Beavis and Butthead episode with the exact same premise titled "Held Back."

    Aggro Families
  • Sometimes in the videos, when someone asks a question, their family gets mad at them for seemingly no reason. For example, in one video, Dora asked if her parents could buy ice cream. Elena and Cole's expressions immediately change to angry ones. Other example, Caillou is told "Guess where are we going today?", says "Chuck-e-Cheese's?" and his parents and Rosie say "No, we're going to get surgery." with angry expressions. Why do the parents get angry at questions like these?
    • Simple: the adult characters hate fun.

    What's Causing the Errors
  • About the Errors. Is the timer reaching 0 the trigger for the Error to stop, and if so, then why does reducing the time to 0 artificially not cause that? What's "blocking" the computer?
    • Probably the reason why the person affected by the Error reducing the time to 0 doesn't cause it to end is because, well, it's GoAnimate. "Blocking" the computer is most likely the user turning off the computer's screen in hopes of making the Error go away.
    • Maybe the timer is showing the amount of time it will take for the glitch to go away, and it's actually being fixed by outside intervention on the programmers' end rather than the timer itself.

    Flipping Confusing
  • Can anyone explain exactly what the term "flip buddies" means?

    White Kids from China
  • In the "Caillou Blends Rosie" videos, the other two Rosies are said to be adopted from China, so why are they both white?
    • Might be a case of Mukokuseki that may or may not have to do with limitations of a theme's character creator.

  • Well, I know than some users have established parent characters for each troublemaker but others have loads of characters who do the parent thing but move from troublemaker to troublemaker without a home, why do they differ depending on the user? And why do some use characters from other shows or users they like as them?
