• The Junkyard, which players can only progress through by letting multiple greedy opportunists gouge them for money or going through a series of tedious block puzzles. After one such puzzle, a nearby NPC will comment:
  "You know, they say that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, but after a certain point that's just not true."
• A Guild shopkeeper yells, "WELCOME!" and then explains afterwards that she's trying to attract customers by being enthusiastic. "It's kind of my thing."
• While the party is waiting for a linguist to translate the Mirrored Cross, Azura immediately sits besides the linguist's bed and goes to sleep.
• Chapter 7 segues abruptly from peril and death on one side of the world to someone having tea in a library.
• Most Gearsrock NPCs are terrified if Vivian talks to them, in amusing contrast with typical RPG practice. Bear in mind that humans in the setting have never even seen one of their Daemon overlords.
