In season 7, the MC gets asked where she's from. Her answer of Chicago seems unbelievable.
Altea: I have been there as well! There is television, and anime, and coffee! It is very different from the reality we know. Lionel: Are you making up silly words, big sister? Altea: No! Coffee is bitter bean potion, television is a magic story box, and anime is moving art of glitter and beautiful women! MC: (Well… she's not wrong.)
August's route
In season 2, a scene with the heroine at a party has her dancing with each of the retainers and Reiner in turn. When she gets to Altea, Altea begins wincing as soon as they start dancing and has to point out that she’s stepping on her feet. Then when the heroine is dancing with Reiner, he makes a crack for which she threatens to step on his feet on purpose.
In season 5, Altea asks the heroine to accompany her while she asks around for information.
Altea:[scowling] For some reason, people seem to think it amusing to ask if I am a lost child when I am alone. Hearing the irritation in her voice, I hide my smile. MC: That joke must get old after awhile. Altea: It was in its grave before the first time I heard it.
In season 7, August and the heroine run into Vanessa in Chicago. The heroine's narration tags for her evolve thusly:
Goth Girl: You two look amazing! (From the sparkle in her eyes, it seems like she was drawn over here by our "costumes.") Cosplay Enthusiast: Those have gotta be custom-made patterns! Cosplay Enthusiast: And you're absolutely perfect for Kurt! Possible Weeb?: Kurt Augustine, from Koiji Senki? He's my favorite! Definitely A Weeb: I really like the little touches you incorporated into the design. Holy Shit She's Such A Weeb: Can I get a picture with you? Please?
Reiner's route
The retainers' "Oh god, now there's two of them" reactions when Reiner and the heroine start punning together.
In season 8, after the group is reunited with Saerys, they start questioning him about his new, powerful demon form. Iseul has other things in mind.
Iseul: Pff. 'Power'. All of you are missing the real priority. August: We are? Iseul: His hair has grown out! Now I have three friends to practice my braiding on. Saerys: Er…no thank you. Altea: Please. I have no time to maintain an elaborate hairstyle. MC: Yeah, seriously. Iseul: Lord Reiner, what about you? Reiner:[grimacing] Iseul, you are like a brother to me. But never ask me that again. Iseul: Come, then. August, you grow your hair out. August: I would sooner shave Wynnie's mane and tail. MC: Sorry, Iseul. You're outnumbered. Iseul: You people are impossible.
