What happens when you put 12 quirky, youthful, hungry and competitive girls together? IZ*MESS, that's who! Here's a small peek of what you can expect (... or not) from IZ*ONE's finest:
IZ*ONE CHU
open/close all folders
(Season 01) IZ*ONE CHU
- Nako inadvertently revealing Sakura's bad sleeping habit.
- Yena and Hyewon finding out that they were schoolmates and batchmates in Hanlim yet somehow never having met each other on campus even once.
- They make a Call-Back to this moment in another appearance where Yena shares that they've gotten much closer from barely missing each other's timing when going to the bathrooms, until Kwangbae blurts out that they've gotten close enough to go to the bathrooms together.
- The skit Yena creates and ropes Yuri, Hyewon, and Chaewon into doing.
- Yena attempting to catch Hitomi offguard during a mid-break nap, only to wake her up very cutely.
- Yena again, this time attempting to fool Nako into making hilarious facial expressions on camera.
- Yujin pestering Hitomi about her love life while the group was on their way to her family home.Hitomi: Ahn Yujin, DON'T MESS WITH YOUR UNNIE!The rest of IZ*ONE: WOOOOW, our Hitomi's never gotten this mad before!
- The girls acting like they're at a slumber party in Tochigi, complete with a variant of The Bechdel Test.
- Most of the members pick Yena as the one they'd date as a boyfriend, with Hitomi reasoning that it's because she's very funny. Cue Yena's shades falling on her face unintentionally.
- Whoever challenges the girls to any competitive game is usually the first to lose.
- Mnet is clearly a shipper of Sakura and Chaeyeon given the enormous amount of Ship Tease included in this series:
- Sakura and Chaeyeon acting like domestic partners at their dorms.
- Sakura loudly wondering to herself if she's the father of their dorms if Chaeyeon is the mom.
- Chaeyeon singling out Sakura as her choice if she had to pick one of the members to date as a boyfriend.
- The most blatant one yet: Chaeyeon introducing herself as "HKT48's Miyawaki Chaeyeon" to Hitomi's fans (prompting an embarrassed Sakura and Yujin to slap her on the back).
- Everyone in Dorm 2 calling out Yena for her Impossibly Tacky Clothes (namely, that her sleepwear looks like it was stolen from a sauna).
- Coming hot off the heels of Produce48, the girls attempt to make boxed lunches for their trainers and surprise them at their respective workplaces. Although the mentors are pleasantly surprised, a majority of them quickly point out that gimbap and sandwiches are a rather childish choice of cuisine while some of the girls make no secret of wanting the trainers to invite them to eat with them as well.
(Season 02) IZ*ONE CHU: Secret Friend
- The birth of a new meme: MINJU GA, DDO~!!note
- After a whole season, Dorm 2's heater panel is still broken.
- Another Continuity Nod that digs at Yena's yet again unique fashion sense.
- "Turn on the two gas pumps and the main breaker to restart the generator."Yena: What does that mean?Hyewon: ... How the heck am I supposed to know...
- Secret Friend's main concept places IZ*ONE as same-aged high school classmates who must attempt to sway the hearts of their assigned "secret friends". Not only are the kids extremely pleased to learn that they can use casual language with Eunbi (much to her chagrin), their attempts at calling the attention of their assigned "secret friends" are not exactly subtle.
- If Season 01 mainly provided Sakura and Chaeyeon shipping content, Season 02 gives us Yena and Yuri who bicker nonstop when forced to roam the halls of their school at night but inevitably cry and run into each other's arms when spooked.
- Speaking of spooked, Chaeyeon and Hyewon appear to delight in the others' fear of encountering something scary and actively try to scare them witless. In Chaeyeon's case, however, it's mostly her trying to shake off her own tendencies to get scared as she immediately freaks out when Hitomi leaves her in the auditorium out of fear while Chaeyeon was playing the piano to scare the living daylights out of Yena and Yuri.
- Hyewon, Wonyoung, and Nako enter a dark room with keys to find. They encounter a scary-looking doll that startles Nako, but Wonyoung resolves the situation by stepping on the offending toy.
- Hyewon, on the other hand, couldn't care less about being scared or finding the keys and ends up playing badminton by herself in the "haunted" school.
- The reveal of who is whose secret friend, ranging from the obvious like Yuri for Chaeyeon to the... not so obvious like Hyewon for Eunbi.
- IZ*ONE is tasked to hold a guerrilla concert by the riverside so they split into teams of four to hand out flyer invitations all over Seoul. Wonyoung's team and Eunbi's team both go to separate university campuses and find little difficulty with attracting people to come see the show, but Yujin's team lands straight in the middle of Myeongdong full of tourists and few people recognizing them. Cue Yuri speaking to a clearly Western-looking man in Japanese.
- As expected, Hyewon's team heads straight to the college's cafeteria, where she orders damn near every item on the menu.
- Wonyoung's team accidentally interrupts a club meeting which would have been disastrous if not for the fact that the organization's president is a WIZ*ONE and, more specifically, a Wonyoung stan. Cue screams of decidedly unmanly albeit genuinely heartwarming surprise when the girls enter the room.
- Hitomi and friends challenging a university dance club to a dance-off, complete with Chaeyeon reuniting with her former dance mentor.
- Minju excitedly waiting for Yujin to come out of her first day of class in SOPA to vlog together, only for the latter to quickly point out that the former's camera was not recording this entire time.note
(Season 03) IZ*ONE CHU: Fantasy Campus
- The girls are finally in a newer, more spacious dorm, which means more room for chaos!
- As if Minju hadn't suffered enough in Season 02, Season 03 opens with her trying out Yena's new hoverboard. The results go about as well as you'd expect.
- Yena eventually revealed in an interview that she hoverboards to Minju's and Eunbi's rooms when she's too lazy to walk because of their distance.
- Fantasy Campus upgrades the girls into a college/university setting where they play the roles of students. Naturally, Eunbi takes quickly to the role of a student officer who insists on collecting the student council fee every five minutes. Yena, Chaeyeon, and Yuri assume the role of the mean girls while Sakura, Minju, and Nako attempt to play the role of the school idols... only to fail miserably because Sakura and Minju tripped over each other upon entering while Nako was too small to be even noticed behind the duo.The rest of IZ*ONE: What's that red blur (referring to Nako) behind you two?
- Wonyoung is late for orientation, so Yujin convinces Yena into helping her fake Wonyoung's attendance. It would've succeeded too, had Wonyoung not burst into the room in a panic yelling "I'm not late, am I!?"
- For one game, Eunbi pulls up a slide containing candid shots of each member that are... less than aesthetically pleasing, to say the least. They attempt to correct this by making each member play a game where they must have no bad pictures taken, except Minju keeps making expressions and poses that make her look like an angry socialite demanding a refund for her designer bag.
- The girls make a contest out of flirting with Si— ahem, the phone Artificial Intelligence robot and decide that whoever gets the AI to respond "I love you back" wins. Nobody wins — Sakura is called "cool" instead of her confession getting reciprocated, Chaewon is dissed, Yuri is sidetracked, Minju is not recognized, and Yena is outright coldly rejected.
- Yena nearly swallows an insect by accident while the girls are having their lunch and Yuri being the only person to notice it.
- The girls immediately run and play in the wide garden park after stuffing themselves full with pizza and chicken for lunch. Their leader would usually be the first to scold their ears off for going off so recklessly... except eldest member Eunbi is the first to run off and play, followed by the next eldest Sakura.
- Nako attempts a cartwheel to show off and succeeds, except she loses one of her sneakers (and her insole in the process. Cue Yena and the other members running around while carrying her shoe and insole (separately) while poor Nako has to chase after them while hopping on one foot.
- The members ask Eunbi for tips on how to take a beautiful candid shot so she suggests tussling their hair for a "wilder" look. It sort of works on Sakura whose photo is enhanced by the new look, but when Eunbi does the same to Yujin, the latter's photo looks more like a middle schooler's awkward photo from the early 2000s.
- All the members are taking photos of each other in the beautiful backdrop of the university's garden park... until Minjoo's turn arrives, when Yena and Yuri accidentally show up in the background, trying to take pictures of their own. Cue Sakura deadass acting like a PR manager (complete with an accompanying caption) shooing off the two girls for the "perfect shot".
- Speaking of Yena and Yuri, the former keeps persuading the latter to take her pictures at very low angles to make herself look taller.
- IZ*ONE attempt to work as part-time baristas at a cafe. Not only do they raid the ingredient toppings as they mix drinks, they also manage to create a horrible-tasting strawberry/chocolate smoothie and nearly burn down their dalgona candy-making station if not for Hyewon's timely intervention.
- The girls serve their creations to passersby, college entrance test examinees, and other young adults who have come of age. While some of the strangers recognize IZ*ONE, many don't — one lady in particular recognizes them as a famous idol group and is at least aware of Sakura, but when asked to identify Yena, she simply calls her "the duck".
- Meta example: much of one of the key moments of Season 03, the surprise drive-in theater concert was spoiled by K-WIZ*ONE fansites via social media. What's hilarious is the aftermath which was not actually shown in the final broadcast after the concert ended, fansites who were staking out on top of the trees were promptly chased down by security in an almost darkly comedic way, given the Mood Whiplash. It has to be seen to be believed.
(Season 04) IZ*ONE CHU: ON:TACT
- The season hasn't even started yet but previews have already shown Nako losing her shoe yet again when trying to play jegichagi note , almost hitting Eunbi and Sakura face-first in the process.
- While this season only has two episodes like Fantasy Campus, it's already chock full of iconic gut-bustingly hilarious moments. A Youtuber managed to compile moments from the first episode alone.
- The much-hyped real-life PUBG match of IZ*ONE appears in Episode 02. Highlights include:
- Chaewon taking a few cues from her roommate Yena and messing with the military instructor'snote gruff, no-nonsense attitude.
- The irony that Kim Minju of all people would do exceptionally well in the shooting range training.note
- The gamers clearly having the time of their lives being in their comfort zone, especially Sakura whose idea of "stealth kills"... ain't exactly it. For comparison, here she is playing PUBG on mobile versus acting out one in real life.note
- The shooting match note ends up claiming some "casualties", with the girls milking their "deaths" and those of their comrades' for all its dramatic worth. Then Gilligan Cut to the "slain" members casually sitting in the back room observing their teammates.
Other IZ*ONE-centric Shows
ENOZI Cam / ARCADE
ENOZI Cam
- Eunbi and her constant attempts at being humorous with the members, especially in the more recent episodes. Other members frequently lampshade this by giving dry responses.
- Famously well-put members like Minju and Yuri instantly bickering the moment they are within the vicinity of each other, so much that in recent ENOZI Cams it has become a Once an Episode moment.Yuri: If we don't fight at least once a day, we feel irritable.
- The entirety of the ENOZI Cam+ gaming special with the Joyuriz sub-unit feat. Kwangbae where they all play a round of Super Mario Party on the Switch. Language master Kwangbae strikes again:Yuri: [awkward, timid laughter] ... "stupid"?
- Anytime Yulyen flirt, bicker, or rave about each other so blatantly on camera.Yuri: I think we were probably sisters in our previous lives. Maybe lovers?Yena: [disgusted] What have I done wrong to deserve being stuck with you?
- The KCONTACT Season 2 ENOZI Cam episode has several gold moments:
- Yuri gushing about her fickle pet cat Yona and how it's normally not that affectionate so Minju goes on ask to why Yuri never talks about her dog Gamja. Cue Yuri making an apology directed to Gamja on camera by... barking incessantly.
- Yena enters the room and the two quickly delve into a barking session with each other. Yes, really, see for yourself. Minju's face speaks for us all.
- Moments after, Yena reveals that she once managed to fool Sakura into thinking that someone brought a puppy into their rehearsals by yelping in a similar way. Cue Sakura bursting through the doors and getting fooled, again.
- Sakura revealing that she found a bug in her tangerine seconds after Chaewon talked about enjoying a few delicious tangerines earlier.
- Nako sneakily inviting the cameraman over to film her doing her pre-show ritual... which is essentially chugging down a can of Red Bull. Her nonchalant reaction after the whole clip really sells the moment.
- Hitomi gets a crying scene in their music video for 'Panorama' which many found to be extremely emotionally moving. After revealing in her radio show 'World Get You' that the crying was real note after she recalled a sorrowful memory, leaving fans to wonder what the reason was. The ENOZI Cam episode on their behind-the-scenes filming answers the question: The director told her to imagine that all the food in the fridge went missing, so Hii-chan visualized the idea of her yogurt going missing from the fridge. It worked like a charm.
ARCADE / ARCADE II
- ARCADE is a show where IZ*ONE members are given specific games and challenges to win, so every episode is practically a goldmine of laughs. Special mention, however, goes to Episode 08 where they all play a game of zombie tag.
- Season 2 of ARCADE features mostly structured activities, but special mention goes to certain episodes. A compilation of Season 2's mess is also available.
- Episode 08 where half of the girls eat foods which they listed as their favorites. Special mention goes to the fact that this episode's release was delayed for unknown reasons, but a watch of the episode reveals why: Nako performed More and More by Music/TWICE and Hyewon sang Justin Bieber's 10,000 Hours which caused copyright strikes. The editors circumvent this by replacing the music... with Secret Story of the Swan and Merry Go Round, respectively.
- Episode 13 where the girls play a Mafia game variantnote and they keep guessing the wrong people again and again.
IZ*ONE CITY
- All of it, really — the whole show is centered around displaying IZ*ONE's talents and skills in variety in order to attract fans, after all:
- The girls enter the set looking all dolled-up and pretty before rambunctiously charging all-in within the span of about three seconds. They then spend the rest of the "entrance ceremony" butchering the reading of the school's "regulations".
- The first activity pits IZ*ONE as two teams in athletics. Not only do they fluster the crew, but they also destroy the set logo. Within the first game.
- The second activity has the girls do each other's makeup with special conditions (e.g. wearing boxing gloves, jumping on a trampoline, wearing binoculars). Needless to say, the end results have terribly mortified their makeup stylist.
- Speaking of binoculars, the other members swap turns wearing the binoculars for fun (even though only Nako was required to do so). This gave many funny incidents such as Eunbi meeting the confused/slightly judgmental eyes of the director and Chaeyeon trying to assist Nako with the makeup even though she couldn't see anything except the latter's nose.
- The entirety of the Rabbit Song game where members must compete for the chance to pick out a lunch set.
- The third activity places the twelve idols in a charades game where they must correctly guess the song title and artist based on the choreography. All is well, right up until Hyewon, Sakura, and Minju step up to the stage and all hell breaks loose.
- The final activity has them testing out their acting chops with three scenarios: a dramatic scene note , a comedic scenenote , and a cute scene. Their acting must be seen to be believed.
- A few months after filming, the girls (minus Yena and Yuri) are re-invited into a studio to react at a compilation of their best scenes:
- Pretty much everyone is horrified at the amount of "brazen acts" they performed on camera, such as:
- Wonyoung freaking out at the amount of aegyo (cutesy acts) she performed.
- Chaewon realizing just how heavy her cosmetic makeover was.
- Yujin forgetting that the cameras were rolling as she made her way to the lunch table.
- Sakura absolutely milking her drunk performance for all its worth.
- The reveal that Hitomi's words went viral on Naver's real-time search after the makeup episode aired because they thought it was a trendy phrase used in Tochigi (when in fact she just misused her Korean words by accident).
- Sakura is asked to act out a scene as she is (technically) the one with the most acting experience. Per Minju's request, she acts out a fighting scene, so Sakura invites Nako to help her. Exaggerated when Hitomi is asked to join the re-enactment with her new catchphrase as well.
- Pretty much everyone is horrified at the amount of "brazen acts" they performed on camera, such as:
IZ*ONE Eat-Ting Trip
Season 01
- At the start of the series, the girls are brought in for interviews with a travel agency on which places they'd like to visit on a trip. Various members answer places known for good food and/or beach sceneries in Korea note , until Yujin veers off-script and blatantly asks to go to the US, so Wonyoung follows her up by requesting that they go to Los Angeles (again) specifically.
- Poor puppy Yujin and her increasingly arduous quest of obtaining snow crab, courtesy of often being in the same team as Minju.
- Heck, any team that has Minju is guaranteed to lose.
- Minju being given a handicap more than once with each group game she competes in and losing every time.
- A subversion does exist to the above rule! Wonyoung, Minju, Sakura, and Nako go to a mini-golf course and compete in pairs for a chance to be treated with free snacks by the losing team. Wonyoung and Minju win, but due to the scoring system of mini-golf, the scores are 0 (for Team Wonyoung-Minju) versus -5 (for Team Sakura-Nako)
- Chaewon feeling outraged at being selected by her team to participate in the long jump competition because they were supposed to pick the weakest athletes of the group to play.
- The way Yena desperately wanted to avoid eating potato ice creamnote . No points for guessing which dessert team she got randomly assigned to. She ends up enjoying it more than she thought.
- Eunbi forgetting the term "french fries" and being at a loss for words when trying to describe the flavor and texture of potato ice cream.
- Each team complaining about being given only 20,000 KRW to buy their assigned snacks and independently thinking of ways to borrow money from the production team and/or coax the business owners into giving them free food.
- The fried chicken team (Chaewon, Yuri, Hyewon, and Hitomi) attempt to convince Hitomi into performing aegyo for freebies. She promptly shuts them down, saying she "doesn't do that [acting cute stuff] anymore".note
- The soondae team (Wonyoung, Minju, Sakura, and Nako) agonize over having to reduce the number of dishes they'll order, only to have the owner give them a whole assortment of soondae and takeout for free because they're pretty.
- The dessert team (Eunbi, Chaeyeon, Yena, and Yujin) attempt to impress the store owners of a bakery shop in order to get free drinks, but before that Eunbi offers to wash their dishes instead.
- While at the mini golf course, the soondae team spots a pile of brick tiles placed at a corner. Nako idly recalls that Sakura once managed to karate chop a whole stack of solid roofing tiles in Japan, which Sakura reaffirms — to Minju and Wonyoung's extreme shock.Wonyoung: Remind me to never get on unnie's bad side...
- Another group mission has the girls working in pairs to gather cooking ingredients for a late night tteokbokki snack with the catch that they cannot know what the other pairs bought and must rely on their knowledge of each other's food preferences in order to avoid buying the same things or skipping over essential ingredients. Only Chaeyeon and Hitomi get the closest to accurately guessing what the others might have purchased while everyone else just barely manages to buy the essentials since no one bought vegetables and almost half the group bought packages of meat. The whole meal turns out to be more meat than rice cake.
- Sakura and Eunbi working together to outsmart Yena and Nako during the mission to purchase cooking ingredients despite soundly losing at rock-paper-scissors to determine who goes last. The betrayal is enough to cause Yena to be at a loss for words and to cause Nako to complain sourly in straight, uninterrupted Korean.
- The girls are given one final mission in order to eat at a high-class restaurant for dinner where they must find hints and several puzzle pieces that would reveal the address of the place. However, the staff have assigned three spies among the members to disrupt the search and monopolize the expensive dinner for themselves. Yuri and Nako were quickly revealed to the audience as the first two spies, with the last one being saved for the final episode. Once news of a mole reaches the group (and that they would be wearing an identifiable mark/accessory on themselves), they immediately suspect Yena and Minju as the spies. Only to find out that, no, neither of them were the spy, who turned out to be Yujin wearing the mark on her hair the entire time! Good thing that Yuri requested that everyone still gets to enjoy the dinner even if the spies end up succeeding.
- Made doubly hilarious by the editing when IZ*ONE was suspecting Yena and Minju as the spies concurrently planning their next move while the pair in question was more absorbed in observing a colony of ants than regrouping with the others at that moment.
- Bonus footage of IZ*ONE Try Not to Dance Challenge going about as well as anyone would expect when you force idols to stay put in their seats. Against all odds, only Eunbi and Hyewon win the challenge.
Season 02
- Previews are already out, and by the looks of it, Yujin yet again seems to be placed with the losing team.
- On the second preview video, Hii-chan gets so fed up with their team getting absolutely no food that she pretends to walk out in the middle of filming in anger. Her teammates stare in shock for a few good seconds until Chaewon starts awkwardly laughing to call her to cut the act off. Cue a flustered Hii-chan adorably whining about how her comrades didn't back up her little improv skit.
- The girls are back, and this season's trip brings them to the outskirts of Yeosu, a famous hotspot for extreme sports activities like a sky walk, a tower course, and a giant seaside swing.
- The fact that two or three members at best are tolerant of heights and extreme sports activities whereas the rest are happy to give up their chances at winning if it means they wouldn't have to even try them.Ahh, we should just give up.
- Yuri teasing Minju about the sky walk mission, despite being on the same team.Yuri: You could di-oh, never mind.
- The fact that two or three members at best are tolerant of heights and extreme sports activities whereas the rest are happy to give up their chances at winning if it means they wouldn't have to even try them.
- The first episode opens with them playing a round of tug-of-war. Hilarity Ensues.
- Everything about the mission where the girls are tasked to impersonate each other while wearing another member's clothing.
Season 03
- In a surprising twist from the previous seasons, the usual losers actually bag the most cash in the first mission!
- Team "Heart Over Money" and Team "Money is Awesome". That is all.
- The richest team was supposed to go visit a shooting range while the other teams volunteered to go parasailing, but circumstances forced them to switch destinations at the last minute. Unfortunately for them, the new activity involves zip-lining and the whole reason why they didn't want to go parasailing in the first place was because all the members were deathly afraid of heights. Cue them standing in shock for almost an hour while looking on at the foreboding zipline tower.
- The parasailing teams giddily plan together to play a prank on the zipline team, but Yujin immediately shoots down the notion since she knows that none of the members on that team can be easily fooled (only for her to change her mind less than a few minutes later). They do attempt the prank, but it goes unnoticed because they were too busy enjoying the food. Doubles somewhat as a sweet moment because the girls clearly know each other's attitudes towards little pranks and surprises.
- The girls enjoying Eunbi's DJ skills at a restaurant booth even when they couldn't hear her playing at all.
- Everything about the sleepover game night; oh Minju, revenge has never been sweeter.
- Chaeyeon randomly sneaking inside a table during the zombie game.
- For one mission, the girls are tasked to create a music video from scratch. (Un)fortunately for them, the role are randomly decided, so cue the seasoned actresses being stuck as scriptwriters and camera producers while the reticent members are left to become the actress leads.
- Yuri gets assigned as their team's director. Cue her immediately conceptualizing a Penthouse-style MV (despite the fact that their song is, well, a bubblegum-pop ballad).
- On the other side, the other team decides to film a melodramatic romance MV between Yena and Chaewon... starring Eunbi as their cat.
Cheat-Ting Trip Season 01
- What is otherwise an emotional onscreen reunion (albeit via video call) among the trio and Hitomi is rudely interrupted by a poor Wi-Fi signal.
Cheat-Ting Trip Season 02
- Season 02 of Cheat-Ting Trip might as well be called the season of actresses given that the going trio involves improv masters Hyewon and Yuri alongside their captain Eunbi.
- The previews open up with immediate parodies of school dramas, Penthouse, and even Crash Landing On You, milking the shipping wars for all its worth.
- Hyewon angrily sulking at the traditional games mission.
VLIVE / Private Mail
- Most of the VLIVE gold moments come from the Suspenderz line note , but all of IZ*ONE have their moments of spit-taking hilarity. Highlights include:
- They've become so well-known for breaking VLIVE regulations that they were at one point the prime reference used for the VLIVE rule section on Wikipedia!
- Everything about the legendary 190616 Bangkok VLIVE, where IZ*ONE broke so many rules that it was deleted from their official VLIVE channel. Disclaimer: You might end up developing abs from watching these crackheads get "drunk" on helium.
- Golden moments from this VLIVE in Japan, where Chaeyeon and Wonyoung attempt to greet their fans a good night. Key word being "attempt", as the arrival of Yujin and Hyewon spell utter disaster for both the members and the fans' eardrums.
- When Eunbi and Yujin are away, IZ*MESS comes out to play.
- Eunbi randomly calling Hitomi during an audio-only VLIVE which resulted in Hitomi suddenly asking if Eunbi was drunk.
- A joke that's come nearly full-circle: Chaeyeon once casually shared via Private Mail that she brought over two beds from her family's house so that she and Sakura could have new beds to sleep on in their new dorms. A few days later, ITZY's Chaeryeong (her younger sister) conducted a solo VLIVE and lamented that she's been forced to sleep on the floor because someone took her bed without her permission (which meant the Lee parents likely nonchalantly agreed to have the beds taken without poor Chaeryeong knowing).Fans on social media: #JusticeForChaeryeongsBed
- Fans of both ITZY and IZ*ONE still have fun with this joke, as a fan asked Chaeryeong at an online Hi-Touch if her sister's returned the bed and she promptly responded with a (joking) whine and a sulky pout.
- Another funny moment that involves a related idol group: Kim Yeonhee of Rocket Punch note has an ongoing rivalry with her senior Kwon Eunbi who always teases her with the nickname "Treva Queen" note . In retaliation, Yeonhee nicknamed Eunbi "Kkuksam Queen" note but it hasn't stopped Eunbi from repeatedly spamming "Treva Queen" at any opportunity she gets. It's gotten to the point that "Treva Queen" has become a fandom joke for both IZ*ONE and Rocket Punch fans!
- Speaking of Eunbi, there was a time when she got called a "boomer" on the VLIVE chat comments but didn't know what the term was (and mistook it for a typo instead) and Minju couldn't find it in her to tell her unnie what it actually meant.
- A different impromptu VLIVE with Eunbi and Minju start off relatively tame with them sharing a few stories with fans on a particularly hot day... until Eunbi starts fiddling with the VLIVE controls and accidentally exposes their current location (an unnanounced filming schedule). Cue Minju and Eunbi panicking and hastily turning off the VLIVE.
- They attempt to return for a continuation of the session a few minutes later, only for the phone's internal components to be fried by the absurd heatwave. What results is perhaps the first ever LITERAL broken screen on VLIVE broadcasting history. Small wonder the replay never got uploaded.
- Eunbi and Minju in general are surprisingly a very dangerous combination for all the strangest reasons. In one of her finest moments, Eunbi accidentally revealed a key part of the choreography for VIOLETA an entire week before their comeback. This has since made Eunbi Properly Paranoid anytime the girls have attempted to reveal spoilers ever since.
- Eunbi once sent a Private Mail out of nowhere talking about how she wanted to grow taller. Continuing down this folder eventually explains why.
- The rest of the members' indirect yet supportive/sympathetic replies to this mail are equally hilarious:
- Hyewon responded that she doesn't think Eunbi needs to grow any taller and asks her to cheer up.
- Hitomi replied that she's shorter than Eunbi and would like for both of them to grow taller together.
- Minju answered that although she's not very tall herself, she's willing to donate 5 cm of her own height if she could.
- Chaeyeon texted with a long string of "ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹" and proudly announced that she's bookmarked the mail out of sheer hilarity.
- The rest of the members' indirect yet supportive/sympathetic replies to this mail are equally hilarious:
- In a recent VLIVE, Sakura, Nako, and Hitomi discuss about shows they've watched, only for Hitomi to sheepishly admit that she doesn't/hasn't seen any anime before and doesn't actually watch a lot of Disney movies (including Frozen and Tangled, both of which they referenced in their Music Bank mid-year appearance).Sakura: What the heck's wrong with you?
- In the same VLIVE, the trio spontaneously start loudly singing a medley of songs from other artists promoting around the same as they were in Oneiric Diary. The reason? They were trying to cover up a building-wide announcement in their dorms.
- Again in the same VLIVE, the rest of IZ*ONE (led by Sakura) making fun of Eunbi's trademark modeling poses in social media and Private Mail photos.
- Yet again in the same VLIVE episode, Dorm 1 was in charge of the session when Hyewon came over to visit because she heard that Sakura's family sent her Japanese snacks to enjoy (never mind that the girls were doing a poor job of hiding the brand names). Upon realizing that Kwangbae was in the VLIVE, they immediately declare that this episode was not going to be reuploaded for replay later on.
- The funniest part? Against all odds, it was, uncut and all.
- Eunbi revealing that she composed a song for Minju Angel with Chaewon and Yena eagerly providing vocals.
- Chaeyeon excitedly creating choreo steps for the aforementioned song in another solo VLIVE.
- Came full circle when Minju finally (albeit reluctantly) performed the song on her individual hosting gig, Music Core without the steps.
- Yuri asking Chaeyeon if they can talk about mature content (e.g. alcohol consumption) on VLIVE now that she's an adult. Chaeyeon responds that, yes, they can — but the VLIVE will be deleted and unavailable for replay.
- On that same episode, Chaeryeong makes an unexpected cameo when she accidentally calls her sister in the middle of the VLIVE. Chaeyeon puts her on loudspeaker causing poor Chaeryeong to feel flustered and say sorry for disturbing their VLIVE. Chaeyeon promptly responds with a shocked apology of her own and the sisters exchange a series of "No, I'm more sorry!" to the confusion and amusement of Yuri.Yuri: You sisters are weird. I've never even been like that with my own siblings.
- On that same episode, Chaeryeong makes an unexpected cameo when she accidentally calls her sister in the middle of the VLIVE. Chaeyeon puts her on loudspeaker causing poor Chaeryeong to feel flustered and say sorry for disturbing their VLIVE. Chaeyeon promptly responds with a shocked apology of her own and the sisters exchange a series of "No, I'm more sorry!" to the confusion and amusement of Yuri.

- Sakura promises to go on VLIVE in Private after she expressed that she's been missing their fans so much and starts the session with her roommate Chaeyeon. Unfortunately, things quickly go downhill when Sakura reveals that they're gonna host a spicy ramen eating challenge VLIVE:
- In order to protect their dorm's privacy, Chaeyeon covers the camera lens in between moving from the living room to their kitchen using her hand, so viewers are treated to almost half a minute of just red. Chaeyeon immediately lampshades this by singing a line from their debut track "La vie en Rose".
- Hitomi, Nako, and Yuri join their little spicy ramen mukbang. Nobody survives the heat, except maybe Hitomi.
- Sakura reveals on VLIVE for the first time that she is a huge fan of ITZY and specifically biases Ryujin before she and Chaeyeon do an impromptu dance cover of Not Shy. The kicker is how fans immediately notice that 1) Sakura is the current benefactor of the bed of Chaeryeong, aka Chaeyeon's sister, and 2) Chaeyeon doesn't know the key points of her sister's group's choreography and has to sheepishly ask resident JYP Nation stan Nako offscreen to teach them how to dance to Not Shy while waiting for the water to boil.
- Sakura downs a pack of milk because she read on the Internet that milk can lessen the taste of spice. Eagle-eyed viewers noticed, however, that they were drinking almond milknote and thus rendering the entire point moot.
- They decide to end the VLIVE in style by freezing for a last pose and expecting that their manager would turn off the camera. Unfortunately for them, it turns out that their manager was too busy playing games so Hitomi volunteered to turn it off instead.
- As of 2020, Chaeyeon holds a record for hosting a lot of solo VLIVE sessions and almost none of them are ever boring or predictable:
- On her first solo VLIVE, she shows up covered from head to toe in a gray blanket, causing viewers to call her Lee Burrito. She also proudly shows her newfound talent of purposefully singing in a cracked, screechy voice by belting out Rococo and Ayayaya.
- During another VLIVE session, Chaeyeon reveals that she plasters stickers on everything that she owns at the dorm, including her corn-flavored ice cream and the air conditioner remote in her shared room with Sakura (aptly labeled with Kkuchaen). Not just small stickers, literal black strips with her full name on them.
- This is the same session in which she created a dance choreography for Minju Angel.
- She's also spent a few VLIVE sessions attempting to build or make something, calling them the "Healing Live" or "Counseling" series:
- She's spent an entire VLIVE once just to assemble a music box / orgel sent by a fan as a gift and was so proud when she finished assembling it... only to realize that there was a loose pin left on the assembly table. There's also the fact that she used wood glue instead of varnish to coat the entire music box, as pointed out by commenters.
- In another VLIVE where she plays the kalimba (another fan gift) for viewers, fans managed to fool Chaeyeon that the self-assembled wooden music box somehow had Bluetooth features and had to be "activated" using Bixby. It must be seen to be believed.
- She spent another VLIVE assembling a snowglobe-like paperweight mostly in silence and just music playing in the background. Upon checking her phone, Chaeyeon sees her mother telling her via Kakao Talk message that her VLIVE's "too boring (LOL)" and teasing her all throughout the session. Cue Chaeyeon whining that her mom's wrong in a very cute and childish manner before asking the viewers if they found her content boring.
- A solo VLIVE after her re-scheduled fansign has Chaeyeon in stitches after a viewer asks if their manager note isn't feeling exasperated with her antics yet. One commenter says something along the lines of, "Please shake your fork if you need help" and the normally stoic/aloof manager note suddenly starts waving their fork offscreen like crazy.
- Just the fact that Chaeyeon has made it one of her missions to annoy the heck out of their managers so she can crack a smile and a laugh out of them. Plus the fact that the managers in turn found Chaeyeon's Signature Laugh really hilarious and infectious but couldn't laugh before out of respect and awkwardness before, but immediately give out resigned sighs now that they're used to each other's antics.
- In that same VLIVE, Chaeyeon accidentally switches on the chipmunk voice filter and spends half of the session wondering why fans were leaving nothing but "ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹" (LOL) on her comments section. This comes back with a vengeance in another later VLIVE episode with her, Chaewon, and Yena, none of whom realize that they yet again switched on the squeaky voice filter.
- Speaking of Chaewon and Yena, they once hosted a VLIVE where they just played their favorite songs... up until they come across a drama OST and randomly decided to re-enact a drama skit. Minju's voice offscreen says everything that needs to be said about this whole thing.
- A late-night VLIVE with Eunbi, Minju, and Chaewon in-between a taping schedule promptly turned into a PUBG gaming session with Hyewon and Nako which then becomes a ghost stories telling session with Chaeyeon and Sakura, both of whom are hiding their new hair colors and one of them not doing very well at hiding; three guesses as to who this is.
- The same VLIVE features the return of Lee Burrito who's noted to resemble No-Face and takes the chance of an eerie atmosphere to scare everyone's wits off (especially Minju) during the ghost story-telling portion.
- The entirety of the 2020 Halloween VLIVE, however short it may have been. Highlights can be found here.
- Back again with Chaeyeon and Chaeryeong, both IZ*ONE and ITZY fandoms had a collective moment of celebration when KBS finally had the sisters perform in a collaborative stage. On the same night, Chaeyeon and Eunbi (who had joined in a collab stage of her own with SinB, YooA, and Ryujin) host a VLIVE where Chaeyeon revealed a hilarious anecdote about her stage with her sister.note Chaeryeong: Unnie, I can't believe you have this big of an insecurity complex to want to wear the same belt as me.Chaeyeon: Please, me being insecure? I wasn't the one who asked to have my sister's hair styled differently, you know.
- Chaeyeon also revealed separately on VLIVE and Private Mail that their family watched the stage. They cried during the VCR showing their journey to idolhood, but her mom kept a poker face doing a technical evaluation of both sisters' dancing throughout the entire thing.
- On her own solo VLIVE a few weeks later, Chaeryeong saw several comments praising her and Chaeyeon for the impressive collab stage to the point that fans cried for them. Her response was to quip that it wasn't really anything worth crying over.
- Eunbi talking about the other artists she collaborated with for her stage and saying nothing but nice things about them all. Immediately after, she sheepishly mentions that she found their heights impressive note and ended up feeling a sudden urge to grow taller, hence the PM she sent on a particular day.note
- Chaeyeon also revealed separately on VLIVE and Private Mail that their family watched the stage. They cried during the VCR showing their journey to idolhood, but her mom kept a poker face doing a technical evaluation of both sisters' dancing throughout the entire thing.
- Hyewon started a VLIVE with most of the members in the background while having a late dinner. Notably, Yena was playing MapleStory offscreen when the room suddenly louder in volume. Why? WIZ*ONEs found Yena's character and promptly overloaded the servers trying to chat and party with her.
- Eunbi cutely whining to Hyewon that she wanted to download and try out Maple Story on their shared computer with Kwangbae promptly shutting her request down.
- Fans immediately responded by Christmas Day when they sent Eunbi her own gaming PC rig. ASUS joined in the fun by gifting Eunbi a whole separate gaming laptop. Again, fans gave her two dedicated gaming devices, for the sake of playing Maple Story only.
- The eventual reveal that Maple Story's developers had to temporarily restrict character creations in two specific servers because fans kept crashing the servers trying to join the same worlds where Yena was playing.
- Eunbi cutely whining to Hyewon that she wanted to download and try out Maple Story on their shared computer with Kwangbae promptly shutting her request down.
- Yena starting a solo VLIVE with Chaewon and Minju talking in the background. When the two start bickering at some point, Yena immediately yells out, "Fight! Fight! Fight!" like a little schoolboy.
- Chaewon hosted a VLIVE with Minju where the two had this exchange:Chaewon: [holding her hair extensions] Do you ever think about how this used to be part of someone else's DNA?Minju: Aahh, unnie, what are you saying?
- Earlier in the same VLIVE, Yena got instant karma for showing an embarrassing video of Chaewon sleeping when her phone screened turned off and she accidentally flashed her bare face, much to her horror and reducing her to adorable whining for the rest of her cameo.
- The OT12 Christmas VLIVE, aka the VLIVE after the last fansign sessions for Panorama had the girls play a random nonsense word game where, as usual, the members (especially Yena) pick on Yuri for constantly messing up.
- In the same VLIVE, the girls wear the extremely goofy accessories they had for the fansigns and exchange items throughout the session.
- The girls wholeheartedly singing along and bopping to VVS from Show Me The Money note out of the blue and proceeding to never talk about it again afterwards.
- Yuri hosting a VLIVE on Christmas day with the concept of baking cookies for her members, with questionable designs:
- Yuri basing her cookie designs "inspired" by the members' looks. Try to guess which one is which.note .
- Yuri casually molding her baking dough by punching it and repeatedly calling it "Kim Minju" before eventually settling for "Honda Hitomi" and "Yabuki Nako" as well.
- Hyewon calling in a fit of (playful) rage on VLIVE after seeing her cookie and thinking Yuri had burned it to a crisp (after the latter admitted her first batch of cookies turned out poorly). The two proceeded to bicker on-camera before eventually hanging up on each other like couples normally would.Yuri: ... Wow, I can't believe she really did hang up on me.
- The members' first mails of the following day all talk about the cookies Yuri gave them. Most of them are thankful to her, including Hyewon who begrudgingly accepted that her cookie Tastes Better Than It Looks. However, the other members respond from a range of confusion to hilarity and gratitude when the rest of the group reveal that some of them got tomato-flavored cookies or broken/deformed crumbs of their cookies.
Other Variety / Reality Shows / Showcase Appearances
Pre-Debut (Pre-Produce 48)
- As idols who have long since debuted in Japan, the J-line (Sakura, Nako, and Hitomi) have plenty of these:
- The absurd amount of Les Yay they serve, especially Sakura. Unsurprising, given that they hail from the 48 Group.Sakura: [during a press conference for Crows Blood I've kissed so many girls, I've lost my feelings.
- Sakura Miyawaki, amazing in every sports [sic], natch.
- Child star Nako and her natural talent for comedy, ladies and gentlemen.
- Hitomi and her "savage tongue".
- The absurd amount of Les Yay they serve, especially Sakura. Unsurprising, given that they hail from the 48 Group.
- Hyewon was apparently an ulzzangnote before she became a trainee.
- Pre-debut Yena and her many colorful personalities, complete with having a whole fanbase even before she became a trainee.note
- More pre-debut pictures of Chaeyeon, Sakura, Yena, and Chaewon that seem fake but are very much not.
- Chaewon, known for being mostly quiet and shy even in her pre-trainee days, apparently had a lot of admirers from both boys and girls alike. How do we know this? Fans found out that girls were asking her out on askfm while guys from neighboring schools apparently inquired about her relationship status during her stay at her school prior to moving to Hanlim.
Pre-Debut (Produce 48)
- Hidden Box game being a complete and utter mess, period.
- All the trainers marveling at the heights of the Starship trainees, especially a flustered Wonyoung who earns the nickname "Giant Baby" from Lee Hongki.
- There's something oddly hilarious about the mere fact that Nako (and Miku's) first grade evaluation performance was never broadcast, highly speculated to be due to the provocative song lyrics.note
- Say what you will about Sakura's first grade evaluation, but there's also a form of irony in the way she received an A after agonizing and eventually resigning herself to not getting one.(Fan comments on Youtube) Sakura: I'll never get an A.(Fan comments on Youtube) Also Sakura: [receives an A]
- Yujin taking a photoshoot with her grade card after the Nekkoya re-evaluation.
- On their very first evaluation stage, Hitomi silently observing the Very Very Very Team 2 and her own team back-and-forth while independently learning the choreography before she eventually taught her groupmates even though she barely spoke a lick of Korean. Doubles as a Moment of Awesome as this was the moment many people began taking notice of her.
- Nako timidly asking if the voting machine was broken during the legendary Love Whisper evaluation stage.
- Best bros Yujin and Yena enjoying the hell out of karaoke.
- Yena pressing her mouth on the glass panel, and Wonyoung slapping the other side to make her stop.
- Hyewon and her unstoppable love for anime, complete with two recreations of Gear Second on camera.
- Sakura's note visible embarrassment at everyone watching her performance of High Tension when the song choices for the first team stage performance battles were initially revealed.
- As heartbreaking and soul-crushing Boombayah Team 2's circumstances were, Hyewon gave viewers a good laugh with the manner in which she revealed that she volunteered herself as the team's main rapper.
- The staff thought it would be hilarious to do a hidden camera prank with some of the trainees under the guise of interviewing them about their makeup routines. Highlights include Yujin roping her fellow Starship trainees into participating in the prank setup and Yena accidentally scaring her mentor Hongki when she triggered a prop. See the chaos for yourself.
- One of the trainee games included a punching game where the strongest would win the title of "Punch Queen". First challenger Chaeyeon attempts it and surprises everyone (including herself) by scoring high. Second challenger Eunbi taunts her by declaring that she used to be known as the Bloody Fist of Sung San-dong due to her raw strength... only to slip at the last second and score way lower than she anticipated. What follows is a series of hilarious attempts at beating Chaeyeon's record (including Sakura scoring lower than the much-younger Nako).note
- Everything about the makeup class, especially how the girls messed with the shader that was supposed to make their faces look smaller (looking at you, Nako and Eunbi) as well as the lip-and-cheek tints (ahem, Yujin and Yena).
- Ladies and gentlemen, refreshing visual Kim Minju and her repertoire of animal and object imitations.
- One of the greatest friendshipsnote formed in Produce48 solidified after an infamous round of Shouting in Silence.
- Eunbi and Chaewon's orange ceremony.
- "Who's giving Eunbi a hard time!?"note
- Sakura's futile attempts at doing girl-crush (hint: mostly by imitating teacher Cheetah).
- The charades/gesture game and the elephant lipstick game, natch.
- In the final episode between tear jerkers and tense competitions, the final 20 girls are led into a room where they were made to watch their first audition videos for Produce48. Eunbi tries to lighten the mood by fooling Juri Takahashi into thinking her audition video was going to be broadcast first, only to suffer instant Laser-Guided Karma when her own video was shown instead.
Post-Debut (Non-IZ*ONE-centric Shows)
- IZ*ONE members guesting on Gag Concert.
- Sakura Miyawaki, IZ*ONE's main dancer and creative choreographer.
- Hyewon, anime fan extraordinaire, promoted Season 3 of Attack on Titan of all things instead of IZ*ONE's new album release when all 12 members were invited on Idol Room.note
- A whole compilation of Yena being Yena as part of the fixed cast in Prison Life of Fools.
- Sakura trying (and failing) to contain her fangirling when Wendy guested on her show with Kang Hodong, Everybody's Kitchen.
- Both episodes of IZ*ONE's guestings on Weekly Idol, natch. The second one even got alluded to on their showcase VCR for Vampire, where Sakura asked Nako if she's actually human.
- IZ*ONE appearing on Japanese variety TV for the first time where among other things:
- Eunbi makes fun of Hitomi's rather enthusiastic rendition of AKB48's Koisuru Fortune Cookie (followed by Hitomi actually demonstrating her version note and Minju imitating them as well).
- Chaeyeon expresses a desire to meet actress Mirei Kiritani and offhandedly asks to confirm if she recently got married.
- Each time the girls win in a game, they are treated to exquisite desserts. Unfortunately, they weren't told that they were supposed to savor each bite on camera and describe the flavors to the audience, so the hosts go ballistic in trying to explain the "rules of Japanese variety" while the idols already have their faces stuffed with cake and whipped cream.
- Upon learning that one of the hosts is a Hyewon stan, the girls immediately try to use this advantage to circumvent their streak of losses, despite the fact that the Korean members keep forgetting the hosts' names.
- Both the whisper challenge and the drawing charades games.
- Wonyoung accidentally calling Nako "hentai" on a Buzz Rhythm interview.
- All 12 members having their shining moments of comedy on Shabekuri 007.
- The entire jumping rope fiasco between the unnie line and the maknae line in Human Intelligence. note
- On the Hello Counselor episode with Yena and Wonyoung guesting, one of the contestants has nieces and nephews whom he regularly plays with and cares for. When the hosts attempt to invite the kids onstage, the girls happily cling to Yena while the boy refuses to go with poor Wonyoung.Shin Dongyeop: Don't waste this chance! You'll regret this when you get older!!
- On the other Hello Counselor episode with Eunbi and Minju as guests instead, Eunbi clearly has a hard time containing her frustrations towards one of the relatives that she accidentally interrupts Yeongja's speech and has to resort to punching her pillow in her extreme anger.
- Eunbi seems to have a lot of moments like these. On her appearance in the King of Masked Singer as a guest panelist with Wonyoung and Hyewon note , she kept confidently guessing the identities of the mystery singers as idols or artists younger than her, when in fact almost all of them were not only veterans but also equal or greater than her in age.
- IZ*ONE on K-Bap Star: a dream come true. Aside from getting to enjoy the good food, the girls played a game with the hosts who had to guess the title of their latest comeback single ("Secret Story of the Swan") based on the performance (lyrics, choreography). The hosts who found it fun to tease the members in order to repeat their performance immediately exposed Chaeyeon for sneakily attempting to give the answer while moving in formation.
- IZ*ONE going home after taping. That is all.
- Minju failing miserably at charades, not remembering the choreography to any non-IZ*ONE songs and even identifying ITZY's ICY as TWICE's FANCY note , among others. Everyone promptly chews her out for the last one note , causing Minju to prostrate on the floor in bitter regret.Minju, wailing: I swear, I know all the songs! I... just don't remember the dance steps to them!
- Chaewon and Yena's disco rendition of IZ*ONE's debut title track, La vie en Rose, must be heard to be believed.
- The final game of Chemi Room came down to a post-it blowing competition between Chaeyeon and Sakura. Chaeyeon being Chaeyeon easily takes off more than half of the post-it notes all over Sakura's body, but Sakura being Sakura could barely blow off a post-it note before collapsing to the floor in defeat. Fortunately, the prize was a pair of couple pajamas and the Chemi Queen (aka the winner) got to choose which member she'd like to give the other half of the prize with. If you've been reading the entries since the start of this page (or have been a fan of this group for some time now), you get three guesses as to who Chaeyeon picks, and the first two don't count. Fittingly enough, nobody in the room is surprised.Eunbi, walking off-screen: Enjoy well, ya newlyweds!
- Their whole guesting appearance on Knowing Brothers where, in a fresh change of pace, Yena and Chaewon become the butt of jokes because of their amusing reactions while Hyewon successfully manages to fool the hosts with her impressive acting skills.
- On their guesting in Problematic Men, Wonyoung accidentally disses her members' English skills, while Yujin bluffs her way into impressing Tyler with her fluent pronunciation (albeit poor vocabulary) in English, and Hyewon keeps getting the correct answers despite being unable to convince her teammates (or anyone, for that matter) that she solved the problems given.
- For that matter, everyone reacting mortified to Hyewon's confession that she enjoys solving math problems in her free time to relax.
- MBC staff seem to enjoy giving Minju intentionally cringey lines or placing her in embarrassing situations:
- On her first episode alone as the new Music Core MC, she calls herself Minju Angel, which not only goes viral/trending nationwide (and in some countries overseas) but to the point that her own members tease her about it, especially Chaewon who takes every opportunity to tease her about it.note
- Came full circle when Minju performed a snippet of the Minju Angel Song on national television explicitly to fulfill Chaewon's "last wish".
- A sneaky promotion of Oneiric Diary's title track in another episode.
- The skits she does with Chani and Hyunjin, bless their hearts, are often embarrassing but hilarious nonetheless.
- On the episode where SSAK 3note made their TV debut, the trio appeared noticeably nervous about doing the interview with them, to the point that the "rookie unit" easily slipped back in their veteran roles and the whole segment looked like they were the ones interviewing Minju and the boys instead of the other way around!
- On her first episode alone as the new Music Core MC, she calls herself Minju Angel, which not only goes viral/trending nationwide (and in some countries overseas) but to the point that her own members tease her about it, especially Chaewon who takes every opportunity to tease her about it.note
- Wonyoung eagerly learning the ropes of Korean variety with Kwangsoo in Running Man (while trying to rein in his greedy tendencies in vain); during a break, she takes a selca with Kwangsoo who offers his phone number to Wonyoung in order to receive the photo, only for Wonyoung to ask if he knows how to use 0 so she could share it.
- On the same guest appearance, Jaesuk asks Wonyoung about her height and she surly responds that it is around 171cm note . When Jaesuk follows it up with a question about what's been stressing Wonyoung, she replies that she's stressed out by people asking about her height.note
- Hilariously, Wonyoung's guest appearance on Running Man caused not only her name (and related terms) to trend on Naver's realtime searches in three different spotsnote , but she also caused AirDrop to trend!
- The recent MUPLY Q&A interview for One-Reeler promotions is also a mine of hilarity, as the questions that the members will be answering were written by other members themselves:
- Hitomi gets a question asking her to blurt out numbers for a lotto ticket. Though baffled, she does it anyway, and Eunbi immediately points out that the show director is writing them down as they speak. Chaeyeon wrote the quesiton.
- Wonyoung gets not a question so much as a dare that instructs her to spin around 12 times before attempting a split pose from Fiesta. The suspects behind this little scheme immediately get exposed and one of them is eventually forced to do the dare in Wonyoung's place. It's Chaewon, who suffers instant karma much like her labelmate Eunbi during Produce 48 as mentioned above.
- Yuri gets a question asking her to reveal a piece of information that only she knows about the other members. Her instinct is to ask for a pass, but they wouldn't let her, so instead she talks about her roommate Nako... and her mission to recruit her into eating chicken feet.
- Chaewon gets a question asking what article of clothing she puts on first when dressing up. Fairly shocking question but normal answers such as top-first or pants-first... until Eunbi reveals that she wears her socks first.
- Hyewon gets a question asking her when was the last time her heart skipped a beat. It was when she watched Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2.
- Sakura gets asked if she believes in the existence of aliens. Before she could even pipe in her answer, the rest of the group quickly descend into a debate about whether they are real or not. Sakura firmly says no and does not believe, but Wonyoung and Nako immediately counter her with separate anecdotes of their own much to her chagrin.
- Another MUPLY video with IZ*ONE playing the Day Mode, Night Mode Dance game. Every time the lights go off (aka "Night Mode"), the girls must avoid triggering the sound-sensitive lights all while dancing to their intensive choreography. At the end of their performance, the total number of triggers is converted into errors subtracted from a fixed number of minutes that would allow the girls to get some rest. Because being quiet is IZ*ONE's number one specialty.
- At the first reveal of the sound-sensitive lights, Yujin immediately asks the staff if the girls can get one light and put it in Yena's room.
- Towards the end of the video, the girls realize that they got only a set amount of time to nap and immediately try going to sleep. More hilariously on a meta-level, MUPLY premiered a real-time video of the girls sleeping without any cuts, which fans flocked to watch in hopes of seeing any additional moments of hilarity or outtakes. Nope, it was literally just 24 minutes straight of IZ*ONE napping for real while the cameras were rolling.
- The entirety of the Mafia dance video with Dingo. Three members are assigned to the role of the Mafia and one as the Police where the former must deceive their members into believing that they're dancing to the same song and the latter must identify who is faking among the group. Hilarity Ensues as the girls descend into a spiral of accusations and false leads.

- 1st week sales for IZ*ONE's Japanese debut album, Suki to Iwasetai, reached #2 on Billboard Japan charts with 303,745 copies and lost to TWICE's Candy Pop by one vote (303,746). The coincidence wouldn't have been half as funny had Nako not come out during a live broadcast bragging about her new Candy Pop album purchase, so fans had a field day joking about how Nako was such a dedicated ONCE that it was her purchase that broke the album sales tie in favor of her biases over her own group.
- Fans find entertainment in the struggles of whoever's in charge of most social media posts for IZ*ONE's officials, often jokingly attributing such press mistakes to "OTR intern-nim". Among other things they've managed to mess up:
- Accidentally scheduling an invitation to watch Minju's Music Core episode at 03:00 AM instead of 03:00 PM, waking up many a-confused Korean WIZ*ONE and greatly amusing international WIZ*ONE.
- Accidentally posting Nako's selfies on the staff account instead of the official account.
