• The ponies Mr. Burns offered to Lisa were Evil All Along, and we know that he is the kind of man who would put the lives of children in danger for his own selfish desires, if not outright murder them himself. And we also know that his power plant has resulted in various animals being mutated. By refusing, Lisa pretty much saved herself from being mauled to death by the evil ponies who might have mutated to gain human intelligence and become a trio of moles/assassins.
