Mr. Cat seems more than willing to believe Stumpy's story about being abused by his family despite how exaggerated and over-the-top it is. The story involves an alcoholic father, a mother who keeps screaming at him for no reason, and older siblings who bully him. Which other family in the show fits that exact description? The Cat family. Mr. Cat finds Stumpy's story believable because he has actually lived through those experiences.
Kaeloo seems annoyed when she talks about Mr. Cat's attraction to her toad form. Why? Throughout the series, we see that Kaeloo and Bad Kaeloo have an ongoing rivalry about who is the "better" form. Kaeloo wants Mr. Cat to like her better than Bad Kaeloo.

Kaeloo calls Mr. Cat's attraction to toads "strange" and even goes as far as to say he should go to therapy for it. As seen in "Let's Play I Like You", Mr. Cat already seems to be suffering from some type of Internalized Categorism about that. We've also seen in previous episodes that Mr. Cat cares a lot about Kaeloo's opinion of him. How badly will this affect his self-esteem?
Given Mr. Cat's penchant for science experiments, there's a possibility that if Stumpy had been diagnosed with dyspraxia, he would have tried to cure it himself.
What if Stumpy deliberately made his fake backstory look like Mr. Cat's backstory to gain more sympathy from Mr. Cat?
