Go To

The Princess and the Knight is a Victorious fanfic, written by Metatron85, which reimagines the show as a medieval fantasy story. It follows a young servant girl Victoria, who dreams of being a knight, as she journeys to save Princess Jadelyn of Reinhart from a rival kingdom, Rosym. However, not all is as it seems, and she soon finds herself fighting the evil wizard Noxymis. Along the way, she discovers her long-lost sister, Trina, and earns her way to knighthood.

The story can be found on Fanfiction Dot Net here.

The Princess and The Knight contains examples of:

  • Adaptational Nice Guy: In the show, Jade is the bully and is constantly rude to her friends, particularly Tori. Here, Princess Jadelyn is a nice princess, who is very kind to Victoria and even falls in love with her. She also goes out of her way to be kind to the others she meets, in contrast to the show where she terrorizes strangers for fun.
  • Bad Boss: Noxymis has no problem killing those who work for him. When the men he hires to kidnap Jadelyn complete the task, he kills them. When a knight that remains loyal to the fallen king tries to free Jadelyn, he has the man's own brother try to kill him.
  • Big Bad: Noxymis is behind the plot to frame Rosym for the kidnapping of Jadelyn, in order to draw out Victoria so he can get a gem her sister has and take revenge on the king of Rosym.
  • Demoted to Extra: Andre is absent for most of the story. When he does appear towards the end, it's as the far younger prince, who is more of a plot device than a character.
  • Long-Lost Relative: The witch Geolia is eventually revealed to be Victoria's long-lost sister, Trina, who was forced to give her up so that she can have a better life.
  • Mind-Control Device: Noxymis tries to use his magic gem to get Jadelyn to fall in love with him. This doesn't work, as Jade is in love with Victoria, who still lives, so instead, he decides to simply kill Victoria to be able to complete the task.
  • One True Love: Victoria and Jadelyn are presented as being true loves. When Noxymis tries to force Jadelyn to fall in love with him, he finds himself unable to do so. Jadelyn's love for Victoria is so strong that as long as she lives, he can't use the gem on Jadelyn to this end. When Victoria is on the edge of death, she refuses to die once she hears Jadelyn asking her not to and is able to hold on long enough for Trina to save her.
  • Would Hurt a Child: After killing the King, Noxymis next plans to kill the young Prince Andre, who stands in the way of his legit claim to the throne.
