Sagittarius is a series of vaguely interconnected Destiny crossover fanfics by Keltoi. The series follows three members of a disbanded Guardian Fireteam — the titular Fireteam Sagittarius, consisting of Titan Jaxson Ineta, Warlock Ikharos Torstil, and Hunter Lennox-2.

The series can be read on Archive of Our Own, SpaceBattles.com, and FanFiction.Net.

So far there are four entries in the series:

This series contains examples of:

  • Affectionate Nickname: Many of Ikharos's close friends refer to him as Ike.
  • The Baby of the Bunch: When they first formed their fireteam, Jaxson was the youngest and least experienced member, having only recently been revived while Ikharos and Lennox-2 had been around for centuries.
  • Crossover: The series consists of different Destiny crossover fics. So far, the crossovers are with Inheritance Cycle, Transformers, Monster Hunter, and Warhammer 40,000.
  • The Exile: Ikharos was exiled from the Last City by the Consensus, who blamed him for Lennox-2's death and were fed up with his team's Military Maverick behavior.
  • Experienced Protagonist: All three of the protagonists at the start of their individual stories are experienced Guardians viewed as Living Legends by the Last City for having gone through everything in the Destiny games up until the events of Forsaken.
  • Fan Verse: Each of the fic features a different crossover with one of the Guardians on Fireteam Sagittarius and are mostly standalone.
  • Fantastic Measurement System: The Cabal use units of chrens to measure distances.
  • Fantastic Plastic: During the Golden Age, humanity used a material called plasteel for practically everything from simple doors to the insides of entire spaceships. It's also the primary material used by Clovis Bray to create the bodies of Exos. It's said to be lightweight, more damage resistant than steel, and capable of hiding a person's body temperature. Post-Collapse, these traits make it popular among Guardians, who use it to craft their armor and Ghost shells.
  • Fighter, Mage, Thief: The titular fireteam consisted of Ikharos as the Warlock (mage), Jaxson as the Titan (fighter), and Lennox-2 as the Hunter (thief).
  • Military Maverick: Deconstructed in the backstory of Fireteam Sagittarius. Under Ikharos's leadership, they regularly went on unsanctioned missions against humanity's enemies, such as boarding the Dreadnought to kill Oryx and invading the Dreaming City to slay Riven. Despite the team always succeeding against impossible odds, their constant insubordination was not looked upon fondly by the Consensus, who eventually voted to strip Ikharos of his rank and permanently exile him from the Last City after his teammate Lennox-2 is killed during one of these unauthorized missions.
  • Named by the Adaptation: The Young Wolf is given the name Jaxson Ineta.
  • Oh, My Gods!: The phrase "Thank the Traveler/Light" appears a few times throughout the series.
  • Pardon My Klingon: "Psekisk" is a swear word in the Eliksni language that gets used throughout the series.
  • Planet Baron: Both Stargazer and No stars in sight mention that the Cabal have planetary governors who are presumably in charge of overseeing the individual worlds in their empire.
  • Plot-Triggering Death: The catalyst for everything that happens in this series is Lennox-2's death, which broke up Fireteam Sagittarius and set each of the three protagonists on their respective paths.
    • In Stargazer, her death is what got Ikharos exiled and led to him leaving the Sol System to eventually crash land on the planet where Inheritance Cycle takes place.
    • In Seeker, Lennox's death led to Vector Prime reincarnating her as the Cybertronian Hawkmoon during Cybertron's Age of Rust.
    • In Orion Steps Astray, Lennox's death resulted in Jaxson getting placed on a new fireteam which is sent on a rescue mission to Europa where a Vex portal teleports them into the world of Monster Hunter.
  • Subspace Ansible: The Cabal BattleNet uses tachyon particles as a transmission medium to relay information over large distances in an instant.
  • Tragic Keepsake: After Lennox-2 died, her Hunter Knife was kept by her partner Ikharos, who always carries it around and treats it like one of his most prized possessions.
  • Trapped in Another World: The plot for all three stories in the series.
    • Stargazer has Ikharos crash land on the planet where Inheritance Cycle is taking place and he is quickly put into a Closed Circle situation that prevents him from leaving the planet or trying to call the other Guardians for help.
    • Seeker has Lennox-2 get reincarnated on Cybertron as a Transformer after getting killed by Riven.
    • Orion Steps Astray is about Jaxson and his new fireteam getting teleported to the world of Monster Hunter by a Vex portal alongside a group of Eliksni refugees.
  • Two Guys and a Girl: Fireteam Sagittarius was made up of two human men (Ikharos and Jaxson) and one female Exo (Lennox-2).
  • We Were Your Team: The event that lead to Fireteam Sagittarius splitting up was Lennox's death at the hands of Riven during the events of Forsaken, which ultimately led to Ikharos and Jaxson having a falling out and going their separate ways.
