Jacques Maurice René Ciron (May 17, 1928 - December 7, 2022) was a French stage actor and voice actor.

He was most well known for his posh, gentlemanly (including snarky), sometimes haughty and sometimes dandy-esque voice that was usually well suited for noblemen of The Cavalier Years or butlers. Speaking of which, he was by far the most regular voice for Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne/Batman's trusted butler, from dubbing Michael Gough in the Batman film series all the way to the animated film Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders, and including Batman: The Animated Series.

He also dubbed the Mad Hatter in Disney's Alice in Wonderland, Marcus Brody (Denholm Elliott) in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and, more surprisingly, Tim Curry as Pennywise / It in the 1990 miniseries.

Acting-wise, like most of the older generation of French stage/voice actors who were most prominent in those two fields, he had mainly appeared in bit roles on film and television (outside of regular roles in the televised theatre show Au théâtre ce soir), from 1952 to 2012, including some American, Canadian and British films.

He retired in 2018 before passing away in December 2022, at the age of 94.
