Dana Terrace (b. December 8, 1990 in Hamden, Connecticut, U.S.) is an American animator, writer and artist best known for creating The Owl House. Prior to this, Terrace had worked on Gravity Falls (created by Alex Hirsch, who was her partner for a time) and DuckTales (2017).Tropes found in Dana Terrace's work include:
- Animation Bump: She is responsible for the examples seen in the Gravity Falls episodes "Not What He Seems" and "Weirdmageddon Part 3: Take Back the Falls" and DuckTales episode "Woo-oo!", having provided the in-house animation for all three.
- Biting-the-Hand Humor: Dana has made her dislike of Disney's executive leadership known, and her show includes several comedic (and less comedic) jabs at the House of Mouse.Luz: You little rat!
- Creator Couple: Formerly, with Alex Hirsch.
- Descended Creator: She is the voice of Tiny Nose in The Owl House. She also does King's "squeak of rage" and Severine.
- Take That!: Dana is not afraid to express her liberal political views on her Twitter, and that includes taking jabs at conservative politicians and companies (especially Donald Trump when he was president), including Disney (her employers) themselves. The Owl House itself also has quite its share of potshots.
- The Knights Who Say "Squee!": She is very touched when people do exceptional fan art of her stuff that she will try to buy their art as prints to frame them.
