My Little Pony: Set Your Sail is a My Little Pony (Generation 5) comic book written by Megan Brown and drawn by Amy Mebberson. It is the seventh spinoff of the 2022 My Little Pony comic book. It was released on April 10, 2024.
While relaxing at a beach, Izzy tells her friends about her favorite book series, the Galloping Ghost. She points out that the fourth volume is done by a different writer noting their writing style and wishes to find out who wrote it. Meanwhile, Queen Haven has received a message from Queen Calla Lily, ruler of the Sparkling Seas requesting Pipp Petals come to their undersea kingdom. Pipp is reluctant to go and only agrees after some convincing from her mother. At her insistence Pipp brings Izzy along to make the trip much more bearable while their friends stay behind to decipher a mysterious message found at the beach.
My Little Pony: Set Your Sail provides examples of:
- Art Shift: Izzy's flashback of how she found the fourth volume of the Galloping Ghost book is done like an old 80s cartoon.
- Continuity Nod: Izzy's fascination with meeting Seaponies comes from learning about them from Argyle's history book.
- Pipp brings up how the Nova Charm created the Boardtrot.
- Continuity Snarl: The existence of the Boardtrot would mark this series as taking place after the Tell Your Tale special "The Blockywockies". Yet Izzy talks about hoping to meet Seaponies in spite of the fact that she met a Seapony by the name of Destiny in that same special.
- Funny Background Event: While Sunny and Izzy talk about the fourth Galloping Ghost book, Pipp is being attacked by Hitch's seagulls.
