Bleckmossen Boyz is a Swedish comic about a fictional odd town called Bleckmossen and some of the children living there. Oskar Ekman has been the comic's writer for its entire run since 2006; when the comic started it also featured art by Kwok-Hei Mak, but in 2007 he was replaced by Carolina Ståhlberg.

The comic is published monthly in the Swedish children's magazine KP/Kamratposten; as of 2022, the comic's official homepage also features a section where strips originally published in KP from 2007-2021 can be read for a monthly fee.note  Apart from the original strips, there is also a printed book titled Bleckmossen — Sjöhästens hemlighet (The Sea Horse's Secret) which features the characters and setting in a longer story that can be read independently from the KP strips.

These comics contain examples of:

  • Aerith and Bob: Every name in the series is used in real life, but the varying cultures of the characters leaves us with traditionally Swedish names like Håkan mixed with international names like Samine and Amir.
  • Love Triangle: Emil has three people vying for him and reciprocates at least two of them's feelings. Meanwhile, Amir is clearly crushing both on Amanda and Samine.
  • Stupid Sexy Flanders:
    • Alex essentially causes this on behalf of Amir, but turns out to be female, to his relief.
    • Håkan has this reaction to Emil... but after roughly being faced with the fact for a minute or so, realizes he's actually gay and embraces it.
  • Trademark Favorite Food:
    • Emil and his sandwiches.
    • Most of the cast loves pizza.
  • Uptown Girl: Amanda is the daughter of the richest man in town, the police chief, and lives in a mansion with servants. Amir is from a family of immigrants who live in an apartment with only three rooms. Amanda's Dad is less than pleased.
  • Villain with Good Publicity: Amanda's father is chief of Bleckmossen's police department, making it harder for our heroes to expose his criminal activity.
