Main Team
Rob Pearson
- Bad Boss: He treats Dave atrociously when making him do the work.
- Basement-Dweller: Despite the fact that he's in his 30s with a wife, a daughter, and a decently-paying job, he apparently still lives with his mother, a fact that she bitterly lampshades from time to time. Spoiler: He doesn't, they just need an excuse to keep Rob's Mom as a recurring character in the skits.
- I Was Quite the Looker: Rob has shown one or two pictures of himself as a teenager during the Friday Features, and he used to be absolutely stunning. Yes, really.
- Just Here for Godzilla: Hello, you've caught me binging Rob's Friday Feature list, which is the only reason I subscribe to PlayStation Access, really.
- Kayfabe: Averted. He has openly lampshaded the fact that "Friday Feature" Rob (who is snarky, energetic, and outspoken) is a very different person than IRL Rob (who is droll, monotone, and quiet.)
- Nerd Glasses: He started wearing glasses sometime in his adult years.
- Self-Deprecation: He calls himself a "stupid, fat, villain-lover" when he's speaking to himself in a Gollum voice.
- Split Personality: He has a tendency to speak to himself in a Gollum voice.
Nathan Ditum
- The Leader: Nathan is in charge of the group.
- Sir Swears-a-Lot: When Nathan is frustrated by a game (or his lack of skill at playing a game), he begins shouting and swearing.
Dave Jackson
- Nerd Glasses
- Screams Like a Little Girl: Dave is terrified of horror games.
- The So-Called Coward: Despite having the lowest tolerance for horror games among the group, he's probably played more of them than any of his peers. Which technically makes him the bravest of them all!
Hollie Bennett
- The Smurfette Principle: The only female member of the group. As of late November 2018, this has been averted now that Rosie Caddick has been brought on full-time...only for this trope to transfer over to Rosie when Hollie left.
- Out of Focus: When she was still part of the team, Hollie appeared far less often than her male peers. She wasn't actually stationed at the office, her job being outside coverage of various conventions, expos, and press junkets, so she wasn't always around to film.
Other Characters
Dan Wheeler
- Butt-Monkey: In the 7 Video Game Worlds we Really Enjoyed Smashing to Pieces video, Dave places multiple labels on Dan's forehead and face.
- New Meat: Dan is the latest addition to the team, joining in 2017. This is averted with his actual treatment on the team however, as they've all known him for many years, and he has worked with them on multiple occasions and appeared in several cameo roles during the channel's early years.
- Perma-Stubble
Rob's Mom
- Apron Matron: She's very much disapproving of her son's "hobby" of presenting video game videos.
- The Faceless: Her face is always kept out of frame. This is to hide the fact that she's played by Dave.
- Lady Looks Like a Dude: Well, sounds like a dude, but you get the idea. She's actually played by a man, as the chest hair reveals.
Delsin Rodent
- Expy: Of Delsin Rowe, obviously.
- Mascot with Attitude
- Non-Indicative Name: Yes, badgers aren't rodents, but Rob couldn't resist the opportunity to use an awesome pun.
- The Voiceless: He's a puppet of a badger — of course he can't talk!
- That said, he's seen whispering in Rob's ear from time to time....
