The friends

    Marneao
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/manny_2.jpg
Let's end this quickly. I wanna see Chef Ramsay with my best friend.
Heir to the throne of Inferni.
  • Abdicate the Throne: He refused to become the king of Inferni after Lucifer's death because he joined the revolution, and even then, he wants to return to Earth with Jacob. He decides to make Nagore the king of Inferni, much to his delight.
  • Big Red Devil: Well, a small red devil in this case.
  • Catchphrase: F*ck my life!. He will say this when frustrated, a lot. He lampshades this when fighting Fleites.
  • Clothing Damage: Loses his shirt a lot when fighting. Some of the chapter covers have him wearing no shirt whatsoever due to fighting demons.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: The prince of all demons, a red devil, and a pretty friendly guy who is fair with his fellow demons and human friends.
  • Distinguishing Mark: His horns. When he becomes the new king of Inferni, they magically grow á la Hellboy.
  • I Just Want to Have Friends: He was a lonely kid in Inferni, with no one to play with. He was very glad to learn of a kid with similar tastes to his in the form of Jacob. He then gains more friends in the human world. Once he becomes king of Inferni due to Lucifer's death, he gives the throne to Nagore, since all he wants is to be with his friends.
  • Flight: Can fly, like a character in Dragon Ball Z.
  • Friendless Background: Didn't had any real friends in Inferni until he was called up by Jacob.
  • Keet: He is very hyperactive. He screamed and was amazed at everything he saw in his first day at school.
  • Muscles Are Meaningless: Can hold his own against two demons three times his size despite having the body of a kid. Justified, due to being the prince of demons.
  • Naked First Impression: He hugs Jacob the first time they met while being nude, leaving Jacob uncomfortable.
  • Nice Guy: He is pretty chill with the kids, and the demons that are sent to take him back to Inferni enjoy his presence.
  • Popcultural Osmosis Failure: He didn't understand the sportaflop reference in the movie theater, and just gave a Flat "What".
  • Power Copying: His power, Aspect of Aspects. As the heir of the inferni throne, he was born with the most curious ability of copying other demons' powers by touching them. When he copies someone's ability, it becomes "Aspect of X" (Aspect of Plasma, Aspect of Soldier, etc). What's more, he can combine those powers to create something new!
    • Kamehame Hadoken: Aspect of Plasma, which he takes from Nagore. He can launch a powerful plasma beam and small plasma attacks like fireballs.
    • Hulking Out: Aspect of Soldier: Berserk mode, which he takes from Fleites. His muscles get bigger as he gets taller, he becomes more aggressive and his eyes turn red.
    • Dishing Out Dirt: Aspect of Stone, which Copied Cavagnaro's ability to control the earth, and to create an earth armor to protect himself.
    • Magma Man: Aspect of Magma, which he creates by combining the Stone and Plasma aspects. His stone armor turns into a magma armor, and his attacks can now melt his enemies, as Cavagnaro's stone armor found out.
    • Teleportation: Aspect of Phasing, which he personally learned from Azcorra, who trained him after he joined the revolution. In Miltch words, "two teleporters will be useful".
  • Royalty Superpower: It's implied his Aspect of Aspects is a power he obtained thanks to being the heir of the throne of Inferni. Once Lucifer is killed, it is revealed the position is magically hereditary, as Marneao becomes the new king with his horns growing.
  • Sixth Ranger: Becomes a member of the Revolution after they save him from Heaven's trial. However, all he wants is to return to Earth, not really caring about their ideals, making him a temporary member.
  • Sleeves Are for Wimps: His standard set of clothes is a black top. His Revolution' clothes is also a top, with a nice bandana on his neck.
  • Super-Strength: He can lift Jacob and a tree with no problems.
  • Super Power Lottery: Marneao has a lot of varied powers, thanks to his ''Aspect of Aspects''. He is capable of flying, has Super-Strength, and is smarter than the average man. With his Aspects of Aspects, he can create plasma beams, increase his body mass and become a Hulk-like entity, control the earth and create an earth armor, and if that's enough, can fuse these powers to become a Magma Man who can go Berserk.
  • Rebel Prince: By going to Earth, he broke the laws of both Inferni and the Angelnato, and refuses to leave, much to Baraquiel's annoyance. When he becomes the new king, he refuses his new role and gives it to Nagore, because he wants to return to Earth with Jacob.
  • Really 700 Years Old: He may be mentally and physically a kid, but he is in fact pretty old. 350 years before meeting Jacob he was training with Giancarlo, and he looked just the same as present day.
  • The Wise Prince: Despite being also a Rebel Prince for going against the Inferni and Angelinato laws, he has been shown to be wise and fair with the demons that are sent to retrieve him. He apologizes to Nagore and promotes him for his hard work while fighting him, and seals off Fleites, who he had a good time with before fighting him, and was happy to meet again once he joins the revolution.
  • Teen Genius: He has an absurdly vast knowledge of math formulas. He gave a long formula to a simple math problem, making the teacher cry. Justified, since Marneao is not really a teenager and has knowledge thanks to his status as the Prince of Inferni.

    Jacob

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jacob_28.jpg
A simple kid who sold his soul for a best friend.
  • Audience Surrogate: A normal kid, and to whom a good chunk of the plot is explained.
  • Muggle Best Friend: To Marneao, who he considers his bro. At first he believes it was due by contract thanks to him selling his soul that Marneao considered him a friend, but he does confirm is genuine. Is quite telling all Marneao wants is to return with him after the Revolution saves his life.
  • Deal with the Devil: Selling his soul for a best friend is what starts the plot.
  • I Just Want to Have Friends: He wanted a best friend. While he lacks the Friendless Background Marneao has, he never talked much with anyone before he joined his life, fearing they would like different things. They both learn that is better if your friends like other stuff, since their different tastes will complement each other.
  • Nerd Glasses: Wears of a pair of them, and he follows the archetype of a lonely geek.
  • Non-Action Guy: Doesn't involve himself on the battles between Marneao and the demons, and thanks to the demons' law not allowing them to hurt humans, he avoids being The Load.
  • Occidental Otaku: A fan of Yowamushi Pedal and other series.
  • Tragic Monster: He is captured by Baraquiel and throw into the black matter, turning into an Infested.

     Jeffrey
A boastful athlete.

  • A Day in the Limelight: He is the Jacob analog in a series of illustrations on El Autor's Instagram, named "My Best Friend Nagore".
  • Fake Memories: After Giancarlo's attack, the friends discover Marneao's true identity, as such, he erases their memories. Thanks to this, he manages to remember Marneao (so to speak) after he is arrested by the Angelinato compared with the rest of the world.

     Matt
The fashion expert.

  • Fake Memories: After Giancarlo's attack, the friends discover Marneao's true identity, as such, he erases their memories. Thanks to this, he manages to remember Marneao (so to speak) after he is arrested by the Angelinato compared with the rest of the world.
  • Token Minority: Matt is a black kid in the all-white human cast.

     Greg
The gamer of the group.

  • Eyes Out of Sight: His hair hides his eyes, but he doesn't have a problem seeing.
  • Fake Memories: After Giancarlo's attack, the friends discover Marneao's true identity, as such, he erases their memories. Thanks to this, he manages to remember Marneao (so to speak) after he is arrested by the Angelinato compared with the rest of the world.

Inferni

     General tropes
The demon race was created by Lucifer countless of years ago, originally with the purpose of building and heavy works. However, the demons started to reproduce with humans, and the overpopulation problem caused an energy crisis. Something happened, and they were turned into slaves.
  • Interspecies Romance: Humans and demons are capable of reproducing with each other. However, the overpopulation caused an energy crisis countless of years ago.

     Lucifer
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lucifer_9.jpg
That stupid son of mine! he has no idea of the problems he is causing me!! Or maybe he just doesn't care!

King of Inferni. Formerly the right hand of God.

  • Benevolent Boss: In a huge contrast with Baraquiel, he treats his men fairly. Despite the huge headache it causes him, he allows Nagore to become his secretary, since that's what Marneao promised. He also allows Gabriel, who was exhausted from Baraquiel' agenda, to lie down and sleep on his couch.
  • Big Red Devil: He is the original devil, and it shows where Marneao got his looks. He has pointy ears, horns, and red skin, though his tail is never seen.
  • The Devil Is a Loser: He may be King of Inferni, but he has to constantly take abuse from Baraquiel, his superior.
  • Distinguishing Mark: His horns show his status as king of Inferni. Marneao's horns grow after he dies, and then Nagore gains a pair due to Marneao making him the new king.
  • Generation Xerox: His relationship with God mirrors Marneao relationship with Jacob.
  • Fallen Angel: Subverted. He was formerly "The right hand of God" himself, but he is of a different species from the angels, and was the best friend of God.
  • Killed Offscreen: After refusing to obey Baraquiel orders, he decides to fight him. Baraquiel is later shown to Marneao bathed in blood mere moments after Lucifer's offscreen death.
  • Parents as People: He loves his son, but he has to work and constantly take crap from his boss. When he discovers his son didn't want to return to the Inferni, he doesn't react well, and tries the best he can to avoid killing him.
Lucifer: I have enough problems already... like a lot!!! With everything that's been going on lately... I'm gonna get an embolism... My head!
  • Satan: He is the original devil, former right hand of God himself, and is the King of Inferni. However, he is not an enemy of Heaven like in usual interpretations, but more akin to a Prime Minister to a more powerful entity, as demons are enslaved by the Angelinato. Despite this, he is a good king, caring about his subordinates and loving his son.
  • Satan Is Good: Neutral, in this case. The Inferni agents can't kill humans, and Lucifer is only the king of Inferni, who are subordinates to the Angelinato, not having any evil intention of his own. He also likes children, and is willing to give Gabriel, his old bro, anything. This is quite a contrast with the Lucifer of Sea Snail Studio's Salvatore, who was a full-blown villain.
  • The Dog Bites Back: After Gabriel's death, Baraquiel demands him to bring Marneao immediately, and to show he means business, he allows Lucifer to kill any human if he needs to. Lucifer decides he has had enough of Baraquiel's bullshit, as he won't allow Baraquiel to hurt innocent children. The battle is bloody, but Lucifer dies in the process.
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: He is never seen without a good working suit.

     Nagore
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/plasma_demon_8.jpg
Can you surrender now, please?
A hard working plasma demon.

     Giancarlo
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/demonic_mordecai.jpg
We may be fewer, but we'll give a hell of a fight!

We must and will defend our loved ones, and your dad and you. But before they get to them and you, they must pass through us. The Inferni Army. We are here for you.

Cutting demon.

     Cavagnaro
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cavagnaro.jpg
Keeper of the Dungeon.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: He has the power to control the earth to create walls, tentacles, and even a giant version of himself, all to trap the demonic criminals. There is a reason why this guy is the Dungeon keeper. Marneao has compared this power with earthbending.
  • Our Demons Are Different: Looks like a Humanoid Alien.
  • Destructive Saviour: He is just doing his job fighting Fleites, but by doing so destroyed a good chunk of Inferni market section. One of the victims of his destruction, an art restorer who worked at the museum, was left homeless and handicapped because of him.
  • Dull Surprise: His reaction after seeing a new aspect being created in front of his eyes? "Huh".
  • The Stoic: Although in his first appearance he had shocking expression after Fleites escaped from the Dungeon, he is usually fairly calm and composed, especially when fighting, keeping his cool against Fleites. When fighting Marneao, he doesn't overreact at anything he does, acting more like an annoyed nanny trying to calm and eager kid. Even when Marneao created a new aspect in front of his eyes, he hardly reacted at all.
    Cavagnaro: Interesting.
    • Not So Stoic: The more Marneao and him fight, the more he starts to scream in anger. He even shows his mouth out of frustration!
  • Reused Character Design: Based on The one who kills the crop, from Salvatore, another Sea Snail Studio comic. He also share his name with one of its protagonists, Dante Cavagnaro.

     Nina
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nina_2.jpg
A human girl who ended in Hell.

     Maurice
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sin_ttulo_36.png
Just a humble demon fruit seller.

     Karen

The wife of Nagore.

Angelinato

     General tropes
Created by the original God Yahveh, the angels were created with the original purpose to protect humankind. However, something made them change...

  • Council of Angels: The Angelinato is ruled by angels, with the job of God being handed over to a specific angel according to the judges. In reality, Miguel took the role by force and Lucifer had to brainwash the angels to follow him, otherwise he would kill everyone.
  • Fake Memories: The angels were brainwashed by Lucifer to obey Miguel and Baraquiel, otherwise they would kill every angel, demon and human on their sight.

     The New God, Miguel

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/miguel_6.png

The New God. Baraquiel's brother.

  • All for Nothing: How he felt about his father's inventions. His father' windmills were created to solve the energy crisis, but after he died Miguel and Baraquiel tried their best to keep his father legacy alive. However, after Jahveh and Lucifer found an alternative source in Mariana's aspect, he felt betrayed and swore they'll pay. And he is a man of his word.
  • Ambition Is Evil: According to Marneao, after the previous God died, his successor started to become more hungry for power, and decided to explore and conquer other places in the universe. He made the demons build portals like if they were slaves, and force them to use a weird substance that could turn them into mindless monsters.
  • The Blank: He has no distinguishing figures in his face. He literally has no face.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: In part 1, Baraquiel, the lovable jackass, works for him as his right hand, and he is responsible for the enslavement of demons and the creation of the corrupted in his quest for power.
  • The Ghost: Never appears directly in part one of the comic. He is introduced in part 2, though.
  • God Is Evil: The fascistic setting of Heaven, the slavement of demons, the corrupted, all of them are his fault in his quest for power.

     Baraquiel
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/baraquel.jpg
Click here to see him corrupted by dark matter

The right hand of God.

  • And Then John Was a Zombie: After Azcorra surprise attack during Marneao's trial , he is turned into a half-corrupted.
  • Asskicking Leads to Leadership: Implied. Everyone in Heaven follow his command as Right Hand of God, no matter how much of an asshole he is, and is shown to be affective at killing corrupteds with ease, compared with Gabriel and The Angelinato soldiers. He follows the Machiavellian saying of is better being feared than loved, with almost everyone being afraid of him.
  • Bad Boss: Treats the demons like slaves, and hardly reacts when his fellow angels are killed. Due to the "incompetence" of his soldiers, he increased the brutality of their training by 2000%.
Baraquiel: (After many of his soldiers died by an Abomination) Sign... useless soldiers.
  • Big Bad: Is because of him that Lucifer is sending the demons to bring back Marneao back home, and the reason why Inferni is not in the best of positions. Once he kills Lucifer, Marneao relationship with him becomes more personal. And once he turns Jacob into an infested, Marneao starts to absolutely despise him.
  • Comedic Sociopathy: In the non-canon Halloween Special, he kills an old lady because there was gum among his candy.
  • Death from Above: His technique, Finger of God, cast off a giant lighting from the sky. He destroyed an abomination with no problem with it.
  • The Dragon: To God's successor, whoever that may be.
  • The Dreaded: Lucifer is scared shitless of him, and Miltch told Nina to be especially careful with him.
  • Expy: Inspired by Akira Midousuji from Yowamushi Pedal, according to Word of God.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: He's always in a bad mood, and inconveniencing him in any way will get you a couple threats at the very least.
  • Hate Sink: The more we know about the angels and demons, who are all either nice fellows just doing their jobs or exhausted from working, the less readers are supposed to like him. He has no positive traits to his character, doesn't show the slight empathy for anyone and treats his men like Cannon Fodder. He is an utter asshole.
  • Jerkass: A jackass who treats the demons and angel soldiers like crap, with no empathy to share for his fallen comrades. According to Gabriel, who helped him in his job, most of his agenda as Right Hand of God is yelling at people.
  • Lack of Empathy: Hardly reacts when many of his comrades are killed in battle. He was more annoyed than anything.
  • Large and in Charge: He is ridiculously huge. He called on Lucifer office being too small, when in fact is he who is too large. A joke about this in made in the Halloween Special and Christmas Special.
Lady: Aren't you a little tall for a kid?
    Baraquiel: I play Basketball.
  • Light Is Not Good: Wears a golden armor with a glowing halo, and is a fascistic leader.
  • Meaningful Name: His name means Thunder of God. His attack, Finger of God, is a powerful lighting that falls from the sky.
  • Number Two: He is the right hand to the new God.
  • Sir Swears-a-Lot: Like you had no idea.
  • The Sociopath: Is clearly a sadist, enjoying suffering on others, and lacks any sort of empathy for anyone. He wishes for all of Inferni inhabitants to die by exhaustion building the portal. Why? "Because he has his reasons", but is implied is because it just amuses him.
  • Precision F-Strike: Constantly does this.
  • Tranquil Fury: Hard to tell since he wears a helmet (?), but he gives the impression of constantly being angry.
  • Our Angels Are Different: Looks like a humanoid giraffe in armor.

     Gabriel
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gabriel_4.jpg

The general of Heaven's army.

  • Archangel Gabriel: An odd take on him, since is usually Michael who is the general of the heavens, with Gabriel being God's messenger.
  • Acrofatic: A big, chubby angel who is also the General of Heaven's Army!
  • Badass Boast: Gave one to an abomination.
Gabriel: You dirty creature! I will not allow this, for I am The Shield of Heaven!.
  • Big Fun: A fun guy to hang around with. He sadly has to work for Baraquiel and take his place at screaming at people, which he kinda suck at it.
  • Cool Sword: Has four on his back.
  • Destructive Hero: He destroyed Heaven's city with a Megaton Punch. He wasn't trying to destroy it, but the monster proved to be too powerful. Baraquiel, surprising no one, was pissed.
Gabriel: Fuck! I destroyed the city!.
  • Dramatic Irony: Part 2 reveals [[spoiler he and Azcorra were friends before Miguel became the new God and became brainwashed, and Azcorra is the one responsible for his death.]]
  • Killed Off for Real: Is killed by Azcorra in a brutal manner. He doesn't even get the decency of knowing his killer's name.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Insanely fast and very strong!
  • Megaton Punch: When in Overload, his punch is enough to destroy Heaven's city.
  • Old Friend:
    • to Lucifer. They are in pretty good terms, with him lying to Baraquiel just so Lucifer can get more time to get his son back to Inferni.
Gabriel: Calm down, man! Just sent another one and i'll say you're making progress.
Lucifer: Re-really? Would you do that for me?.
Gabriel: Of course, bro! Anything for you! After everything we've been through! Just try to bring back your kid back!
    Lucifer: I will, bro.
    • Dramatically, he was one to Azcorra before Lucifer brainwashed all the angels to obey God.

     Azrael
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/azrael.jpg
New assistant of Gabriel.
  • Mission Control: He is the voice of command at Headquarters for the Angelinato Squads.
  • Non-Action Guy: Doesn't intervene in conflicts, staying at the Headquarters.

     Uriel
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/uriel_7.jpg
Engineer of God.
  • Archangel Uriel: Self-explanatory.
  • The Engineer: The best engineer in Heaven.
  • Humble Hero: He is quite modest about his title as the best engineer in Heaven. Baraquiel hates his modesty.
Baraquiel: Don't be modest, I hate that. Modesty is for losers.
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: He dies in the same chapter he is introduced. From a narrative point of view, his death served the reader to show how the corrupteds are formed by dark matter.

     The Judges of Angelinato
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/judges_of_angelinato.png
Clockwise: Famel, Mortiel, Belluel, and Vinciel.

The Judges of Angelinato, Vinciel, Belluel, Famel, and Mortiel.

  • Odd Name Out: None of their names are known in Abrahamic traditions. In fact, they are original names based on the four horsemen of the apocalypse (Victory, war, hunger, and death). This makes three of them have Names to Run Away from Really Fast, since their meaning would be "Hunger of God" (Famel), "War of God" (Belluel) and "Death of God" (Mortiel).

Guardians of the portal

     Haniel

  • Gender Flip: According to Angeology, Haniel is a female angel whose name can mean "grace of god". In the comic, he is a dude.

     Jophiel

A guardian of the portal who faces off against the leader of the revolution.

  • Me's a Crowd: He can divide himself into three individuals in order to have a more strategic fight. The leader of the revolution, however, turns his copies into Corrupteds, making him fight against himself.
    Jophiel: Shit.

     Puriel

A guardian of the portal who faces off against Fortner.

  • Anti-Climax: He dies due to his overlaod before Miltch could properly fight him. However, this leaves the cast quite scared of what God has to offer.
  • Kamehame Hadoken: He can unleash a powerful energy wave. Fortner almost shitted on his pants as he was almost caught in it.
  • Super Mode: Like Gabriel before him, he can turn into Overload, which increases his strength a lot. However, he wasn't powerful enough to handled it, dying in the process.
  • Worthy Opponent: He congratulates Fortnet for being a good match against him. As such, he decides to give him the death of a warrior.

The Revolution

     General
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/revolution_flag.png

The revolution was created 500 years ago due to the hostile enslavement of Inferni citizens by the Angelinato, but have found themselves to be just as bad as the armies of Heaven, by turning angels into corrupteds and destroying part of Inferni for their war.

  • Badasses Wear Bandanas: All the members of the Revolution wear bandanas. Justified, as they are Stealth Bandanas.
  • Gang of Hats: Other than their leader, all the members of the Revolution are Demon Soldiers.
  • The Revolution Will Not Be Civilized: They are an extremist force fighting the Angelinato, and don't care about killing innocent bystanders from Heaven, or worse, turning them into corrupteds.
  • Malevolent Mugshot: Due to Marneao turning into a Rebel Prince by breaking the law of Inferni and the Angelinato by going to Earth, the Revolution decided to use his face on its flag to boost motivation. Marneao doesn't like this, and feels repulsed at seeing it.
Marneao (holding the flag): This piece of shit!
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: They may be dangerous and have a lot of victims under their name from both sides, but are only doing it for the sake of saving Inferni from the Angelinato enslavement.

     Miltch
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/miltch_88.png
You got a friend in me.

A demon boy. Leader of the Revolution.

  • A Day in the Limelight: He is the protagonist of chapter 46, A Tale of Inferni II, where he listens to a victim of Cavagnaro and Fleites destruction through his problems in his final moments, and to bring another light on how Hell is suffering because of both The Angelinato and The Revolution war. Likewise, he is also the protagonist of A "Tale of Inferni III", which reveals he is the leader of the revolution.
Miltch: Why? Why do these times have to be so shitty?! Good innocent people day everyday because of this! I also lost everything to Heaven... I... I just... wish... you're in a better place now...
  • Big Red Devil: He follows the archetype, with the horns and the tail, lacking the red skin. One of his horns is broken, though.
  • Expy: Inspired by Nobuyuki Mizuta from Yowamushi Pedal, according to Word of God.
  • Nice Guy: A pretty jovial kid in a pretty grim place. However, the revelation of him being the leader of the revolution just brings to light how questionable this attitude of his is.
  • Shipper on Deck: He ships Nina and his friend Maurice together.
Miltch: Aww, man! Love at First Sight!
  • Story-Breaker Power: Aspect of ever-changing darkness. Azcorra warns Marneao about his boss Aspect, which is really powerful, and he wasn't joking: Miltch has the power to manipulate dark matter and its properties at will.
Miltch: Do you know how is Heaven powering their portals? Raw dark matter. But our bombs have different properties. It can merge many monsters into one, make them act in certain ways. Make them big or small. That's because dark matter is a mutagen. And if you can twist it at will, the options are endless!
  • Older Than They Look: He looks like a human child, but since he is a Inferni citizen, it means he is older than that. According to him, he was around the time the previous God was alive, meaning he is around 500 years old or older.
  • Really 700 Years Old: He was around during the previous God goverment, meaning he is around 500 years old, even older than that, maybe.
  • Token Human: Played With. He is the only human-looking member (besides Marneao) of the revolution, with its members being mostly Demon Soldiers.
  • Walking Shirtless Scene: Only wears a pair of pants, and nothing else. He starts to wear proper clothing once his status is revealed, wearing a similar uniform to Azcorra.
  • Walking Spoiler: At first sight, Miltch lookss just like another of Inferni citizens. Then is revealed he is the leader of the Revolution, and is hard to speak about him without this little fact.

     Azcorra
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/azcorra.jpg
Second in command in the Revolution.
  • The Comically Serious: Before Fleites joined the revolution, he was a Knight of Cerebus, with the comic turning grim any minute he appeared. After his brother joined, however, he tends to be The Straight Man to the men working with him. Miltch hugging him while trying to convince Marneao to join their cause can give you a giggle.
  • Horned Humanoid: Fitting for a demon, he has a pair of demonic horns with him.
  • Hulking Out: He is a soldier Demon, like his brother, so he can go Berserk. Is quite telling he was defeating Gabriel without using that transformation.
  • Implacable Man: During many chapters, he stayed behind the curtains, but once he fights, he is shown to be as lethal as his brother by kicking the living crap out of Gabriel, who we need to remind you is the general of the heavens, without using the berserk transformation.
  • Invisibility: Along teleportation, he can turn invisible, making his sneaking jobs easier to accomplish. The best part is that the Angelinato technology can't see him.
  • "Not So Different" Remark: He gave one to his brother.
Fleites: You have caused a lot of problems to the King!! You killed a lot of people!!
    Azcorra: You too.
  • Number Two: Second in command to the Revolution.
  • No-Nonsense Nemesis: He was beating the living shit out of Gabriel, making sure he couldn't activate his Overload mode, not even giving him the decency to know what his name is while kicking the life out of him. Is implied is done to avoid giving any hint to the Angelinato on who and where he is.
  • Reused Character Design: Based on He who whispers to your ear, from Salvatore, another Sea Snail Studio comic. This one is the less obvious since the original character was a big fat demon.
  • The Revolution Will Not Be Civilized: He detonated a dark matter bomb on Heaven's City, turning many innocent civilians into corrupteds.
  • The Stoic: Doesn't really show a lot of emotions or say anything. During his fight with Gabriel, he stayed calm and collected at everything Gabriel did to him. After Fleites joined the revolution, he became a bit more emotional, but not by much.
  • Teleportation: He has the power to teleport, named Aspect of phasing. He teleported both himself and his brother out of the Inferni dungeon, and is an important factor in his fights. He teaches Marneao how to properly control it after the former prince joins the revolution. He is the only teleporter of the revolution.

     Fleites
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fat_pirate.jpg
Soldier demon. Formerly a soldier of Hell, became a revolutionary after his brother got him out from the dungeon.
  • Acrofatic: He is a complete, durable and fast juggernaut, don't let his fat shape deceive you.
  • Barbie Doll Anatomy: He has nipples, but don't appear to have any genitalia.
  • Body Horror: Has a mouth on his belly.
  • Eyepatch of Power: He lost his eye during a fight with the Dungeon Keeper, and his brother found him an eyepatch. He loves it, thinking it makes him look like a pirate.
  • Faceā€“Heel Turn: Turned his back on the Inferni agents and joined the Revolution because his brother freed him from the dungeon.
  • Hidden Depths: Enjoys puzzle games like Zack & Wiki and Minesweeper. Seems to be a fan of pirates in general.
  • Hulking Out: Despite being The Juggernaut, he has a Super Mode that makes him even more dangerous called Berserker mode. He managed to destroy Cavagnaro giant stone form with ease.
  • Just Following Orders: He was having fun with the kids, and didn't wanted to hurt anyone. He was told to bring Marneao back to Inferni, dead or alive, no hard feelings.
  • Horned Humanoid: Has horns.
  • Implacable Man: YES! He was destroying the city just to take Marneao back to hell!
  • Moral Event Horizon: In-Universe. Killing humans is a severe crime in the Inferni law, and he is sent to the Inferni dungeon for breaking that law during his fight with Marneao.
  • Person of Mass Destruction: He is insanely destructive thanks to his Berserk ability, and both times he has gone on a mission, a good chunk of the city is destroyed, causing many deaths on the way. There is a reason why Lucifer warned Marneao about the Soldier Demons.
  • Punch-Clock Villain: He actually enjoyed hanging out with Marneao and his friends, and is only fighting him because is his job. Sadly, he has orders to bring him dead or alive unlike Nagore. This bites him in the ass, though, since in his destruction he killed humans, breaking the Inferni law.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Big, fast, and destructive.
  • More Teeth than the Osmond Family: On his mouth and belly.
  • No-Sell: He is not affected by Marneao's Aspect of Plasma.
  • Walking Shirtless Scene: His nipples are showing! He started to wear proper clothing after joining the Revolution, though.

     Fortner

General of the Revolution.
  • An Ice Person: His aspect, Burning Ice, gives him ice-related powers.
  • Third Eye: Has an eye on his forehead.
  • Expy: He's a reference/homage to Bargo the bikdip and Bikdark (when he's on berserk mode), both created by BikdipOnABus.
  • Super Mode: Like many of his comrades, he can turn Berserk, increasing his power by a long shot. However, his Berserker ability also changes his aspect into the polar opposite: Freezing Fire.

General of the Revolution.

Other

     The Corrupted

The corrupted were individuals that fell victim to the dark matter, turning into zombie-like monsters willing to destroy everything on their path.

  • Body Horror: The original host's bodies become black like putrid flesh, leaving nothing of the original body behind.
  • Our Giants Are Bigger: Many of the corrupted can fuse into a bigger monster, of the size of a skycrapper.
  • Our Zombies Are Different: While never referred as such, they display Zombie-like behavior, being previously either angels or demons that fell victim to the dark matter substance, meaning they are akin to supernatural zombies on the afterlife. They are mindless, destructive, and worst of all, fast and powerful, with many of the Angelinato soldiers not being enough to take them down, only their superiors doing any sort of damage, and even then, it may involve collateral damage, as Gabriel fight on Heaven city proves.

     Jahveh

some caption text

The former god and the creators of the angels.

  • Ambiguously Human: He has been living for thousands of years and created the angels, and the humans know him as "God", but what exactly is Jahveh is a complete mystery.
  • Generation Xerox: He was best friends with Lucifer, just like Jacob is with Marneao. And just like with Jacob, he was killed by an angel, Baraquiel's brother.
  • Posthumous Character: He died before the events of the first part. Killed off by Miguel who took his position.

     Samantha

Wife of Lucifer.
