• Every time Fang Yuan uses Spring Autumn Cicada to go back into the past and reap the benefits he lost in the previous timeline and using said benefits to prevent his future demise.
  • The first time Fang Yuan uses Spring Autumn Cicada is when he cannot retreat from the Gu Yue clan leader’s founder and Lord Sky Crane, both being Rank 5 Gu Masters whom a Rank 3 like Fang Yuan has no hope of beating. After returning to the past, Fang Yuan tricks his ancestor and throws him outside of the barrier protecting the Gu Yue clan. Fang Yuan then takes the Gu his ancestor used to increase his aptitude in the previous life and begins to slaughter the entire Gu Yue Clan in front of the clan’s founder, who cannot stop Fang Yuan from taking all the benefits he built up over generations.
  • The second time Fang Yuan rebirths is when he is captured and about to spend the rest of his life in a prison for demonic gu masters and immortals while in Central Continent, Feng Jin Huang wins a competition to inherit the blessed land of a Gu Immortal. He plays the events as closely as possible, only changing a few events here and there until he reaches the point when he needs to use the immortal Gu Divine Travel to refine the Immortal Gu Second Aperture. Instead of refining the complete Second Aperture Immortal Gu, Fang Yuan instead uses the tale of Ren Zu’s first son, Verdant Great Sun, to refine Divine Travel into the far more useful Fixed Immortal Travel, allowing him to outright teleport away from his enemies and appear at the top of the mountain where his brother and Feng Jin Huang are competing and win the competition to inherit Hu Immortal Blessed Lands instead.
• In the race to grab Ma Hong Yun, Fang Yuan and many other Gu Immortals of varying ranks and loyalties must trudge through the perilous Reverse Flow River, a river whose waters causes all Gu of Rank 8 and below to stop working. One by one, the Gu Immortals lose their will to continue and are taken away by the river and forced to watch as only Fang Yuan, Ma Hong Yun, and Zhao Lian Yun are the only ones left. Ma Hong Yun and Zhao Lian Yun move as fast as they can to reach the end of Reverse Flow River in order to escape Fang Yuan but the river increases in length the moment they take a step forward at the end. Fang Yuan captures Ma Hong Yun but to his shock, he dies from overexertion. With Ma Hong Yun dead, Fang Yuan is now the target of many Gu Immortals who were planning to use him. The moment Fang Yuan leaves the Reverse Flow River, he will immediately be killed with his only other option being complete enslavement with no hope of freedom. So Fang Yuan keeps moving forward. On and on. Fang Yuan proves how determined he is while trudging through the Reverse Flow River with him refining the legendary Perseverance Immortal Gu and becoming the second master of Reverse Flow River. And using his abilities to quickly create a Killer Move with Perseverance Gu and Reverse Flow River, Fang Yuan manages to escape and outright humiliate many Gu Immortals with the strength to easily kill him.
