The major Japanese promotions generally didn't use managers like American promotions did at the time, which, ironically, allows him to overcome the unfortunate implications that usually were part of his act in America.
- He body slammed
André the Giant in a match in Mid-South Wrestling in 1983. The fact that Kamala made it look like he was slamming some half Andre's weight definitely shows just how much strength he possessed to be able to do it so cleanly.
